I think that’s awesome to see Lao food in other countries that doesn’t guises as Thai restaurants. Authentic Lao would be too strong for people that are new to the cuisine.
Does true represent our food. I know a lot of LAO people put it under that but fools wish we proud of our foods love my food and our roots in history respect and facts.
yeah id try it. i love to see how people interpret other cuisines. my favorite so far is mexicanized khao poon. its spicier than regular khao poon i grew up eating.
Short or medium grain “glutinous” rice is very common in Korea. Even though they are little different from the long grain “glutinous”rice which is hard to get in Korea, they could’ve used the short or medium grained ones. In my opinion, Asian or Chinese spoon is little cumbersome. I like sukkara, a Korean spoon. It is very versatile and easy to use. I like the shape and the long handle. I use it for almost everything.
Woah, that’s a big surprise to see kaopiaksen in Korea 😮 it’s hard to even get them in Thailand or even Laos nowadays, at least in Vientiane. There used to be so many good shops in talatsao but now they are gone like the embroidery ladies 😭
@@SaengsKitchen Ive no idea, maybe ppl switched their breakfast menu, or don’t buy breakfast outside, or perhaps selling at the market is not as viable as it used to be, before talatsao was open air, with lots of food/produce sellers, but now it’s more like a little mall with only a handful of fruit sellers in the periphery. Also it could be due to influx of Chinese and the resulting hike in property cost. Or it could be like Bangkok where a lot of food vendors left the city for their hometowns once due to Covid or rise in cost of ingredients/operation made their business unsustainable 🤔 what’s your take?
Northwestern (Isan) thai people calls pla daek ปลาแดก too, same words. I prefer putting pla daek in my som tum cause my dad is from Isan and proud of it ❤
Saibaidee khon Lao I did not know they have that restaurant in South Korea. I know they had Thai restaurants in Indian restaurants Russian restaurants, Pakistani Pakistani, but never LAO foods so you made up cooking LAO foods or traveling around eating LAO foods across the world

I love that they have the spoons we use at home !!! 🙌
a lot of fun surprises at this restaurant :)
You should have added your larb seasoning to it to give it a stronger larb taste 😝 then sell them some 😂
I’ll definitely go there if ever in Korea ! Thanks for the recommendation

As you said chef, a fun interpretation and also a bit of fusion of Lao food. Glad you got to taste it in Korea! Cheers!
Lao cuisine world wide!
Looks like koreanized for korean taste
There's an awesome Lao food restaurant in Knoxville, TN I think you would enjoy. Hope you can make it out there sometime!
What is it called?
@@SaengsKitchen It's called Sticky Rice Cafe. I loved the raw beef larb I got there. I got the idea to try it after watching one of videos!
Are you going to teach us how to make these dishes? I want to try them, they look so good.
Yes check out my other videos on my page! And also lots of lao recipes on my website www.saengskitchen.com hope that helps

Yeah it was a really nice surprise in Seoul. Do you know why a lot of the khao piek sen in Vientiane is gone?

I can tell you want to say, they tried at least." Looks like mild Lao food.
You should make a discord server based around Lao cuisine (and neighbouring as well)
No sticky rice 😢
yeah was sad about that
❤❤❤❤

Doesn't even look like Lao food anymore. It's all very Koreanized
That’s awesome ! But why don’t they truly study the Lao cuisine so it will be more authentic?
Thai papaya salad doesn't have cilantro as garnish, maybe it's the Laotian way of making this salad.
Doesn't look tasty at all. Obviously, this was made toward Koeean people.
Why u sound like that
They don’t look yummy
