3 great draws against quality opposition but we do need to start winning games soon.
This might mean taking a few risks because overall, 3 wins and 15 goals scored in 17 PL games is garbage.

You’re right Baz the future is bright. I saw a stat that EFC will only have 11 players under contract in June 2025, this offers a great opportunity to clean house with minimal financial impact and a chance to revise the squad. All the best to the Toffee TV crew in 2025. Cheers!!

I remember a lot of Everton fans, myself included, looking at the fixtures in December and thinking we'd be lucky to get a couple of points! Now look at us, 90 minutes away from going through the month unbeaten! I'm not a big fan of Dyche, but credit where it is due, his style isn't great to watch, but it does allow us to grind out points from difficult games. UTFT!! :)

@@fulljaunt I agree that most of the 'good stuff' we do, certainly attacking wise, is IN SPITE of the current manager.. also, apparently super-happy @colinanderson1349 seems to have totally forgotten the fact that we are NOT '90 minutes away from going through the month unbeaten', as we started December with an absolute shit-show of a 4-0 drubbing at otherwise-mostly-crap Manchester United!... 🤷‍♂️

The end of the game showed the mentality at the moment, we had a 4 on 2 and just didn’t know what to do, it’s almost as if we spent all week training to stop the opposition.

@@steefc84Despite the high hopes I had when he arrived, it seems to me that Jack Harrison is being continually put in the first eleven by Sean Dyche as much for his all-round, including defensive, abilities as anything.. But that's not really what he got himself known for, at Leeds, is it?.. Dyche also likes to play him on the right for some reason, when I understand he's naturally much more 'comfortable' playing from the left.. So, all in all, as he's - recently, at least - also definitely the LAST player any Blues supporters want to see even a relatively 'easy' opportunity fall at his feet to score for us, then we've surely got to ask what's the point in him even staying with us?.. Back to Leeds in January?... 🤞

    • @dancoultas4848

    • @chrishind4603

It's got nothing to do with the mentality which is proved by us having a 4 on 2 in the last minutes of a very tough game it's personell quality. Agree totally about Harrison he has missed that many chances lately that a bit of quality would have buried, give the lads credit were credit is due these are good teams we are getting hard fought points against, went behind today and came back and could have won it

  • @seanpeckett8939
    @seanpeckett8939 17 днів тому +2

Baz the attacking players we have are not much better than what we need. Our manager can't be blamed for the chances 1e have missed and the decaion making. Better quality players take better touches have better technical skills and have way better decsion making. NJIDYE is proof that when you buy a much better quality attacking player then you get the type of goal he scored. You don't coach that goal or the finish he used. We need ideally 3 more players like him up front but I know we can't get them at the moment. I hope we can get at least 1 more like Ndjie in January.

For Dyche's tenure as boss i have been Dyche in until this season i have been Dyche out but i am now firmly back to Dyche in. I can see progress now. We had gone backwards at the start of the season but yet again he's turned it round for the second time. We need to add attacking quality without losing the defensive solidity at the back. I now think it would be a mistake to sack him. I would even give him a new contract in the summer. A chance to work with better attacking players then we will find out what he's all about. He deserves that chance for me.

Happy with the point. Happy with the performance. Happy with the workrate. Over the moon that JP saved that pen. Happy we've got 3 points from 3 really difficult games.
That said, if we were sharper up front, I don't feel silly saying we could or maybe even should have got 7 points. Defo wasted massive opportunities to create goals because of daft decisions in all 3 games.

@mickyg6981 Fair enough. The two penalty saves just about make up for the goals conceded earlier in the season due to his inability to come out and catch crosses. I think there is this idea that he is under constant pressure because we have so little possession, but other teams have had few shots on target vs us.

I cant believe we have came out of those 3 games with 3 points and conceded just 1 goal.
Really chuffed just hope we can translate this performance and obviously find the net against lesser opposition.
Transfer window is crucial for them to try and find a player that can make us more dangerous in the final 3rd.

As you've said before Baz, we need pace on the wings. I look at how Forest set up and the quality of their players and I think it's only Hudson-Odoi and Elanga that get in our side. Yesterday Vs Spurs they had 30% possession at home(very Everton). Their goal was a counter attack and came only from the pace of Elanga....we have NOBODY that fast!! We could even buy 2 wingers and have Harrison and Lindstrom as back up, with McNeil and Ndiaye competing for the 10 spot.
Or McNeil and Ndiaye with one new speedy winger signing.
Absolutely has to happen this window! Even on loan...

Everton need to get some young vibrant players like other teams,..this is the oldest team in the division,..we got some good decent results lately from difficult fixtures,..but we definitely need 1 or a couple of strikers,
..we could have nicked a winner at city,4 on 2 city defenders,..bad passing again got to be more lethal they meant to be professional players,..top teams would have had it in the net easily,..no good thinking everything ok because we have nearly got through a string of hard games and just carry on with ageing team,.. definitely need big change if They stay up and new stadium,.. always been a Everton supporter all my life, but it's been tough and bad for years since Kendall in 80',s when we were the best and won everything and would have probably won the European cup except everybody got banned when it should have just been the pool,..it's been grim,..only time I been happy since is when at cup final 1-0 man utd and staying up umpteen times last games!!!,..to many mediocre players have been bought way over there price and some bought in there 30',s,..gotta change now surely the tfg are meant to be 6/7 in most wealthy football club owners if not higher,..we see us long suffering toffees!!!!

How can you not blame the manager he picks him to play the manager realise on lucky brakes set piece moves he is not an attacking minded manager his strength is in defensive set up so the players are just being reactive to being forced to attack when the ball brakes playing one up front home and away is the clue great results last 3games but purely from the defence set up COYB

Perhaps the instinct is being drilled out of these players!
That was diabolical by Dyche and typical of the man! Harrison stayed on the right, and Lindstrom played on the left, FFS! Bizarre!
Dyche may be pleased, but to many of us, it is a relief! It is not sustainable!
