Buffy did drive once, in Band Candy - when her mom was under the influence of the candy and gave her the keys. She was not a cautious driver, and someone crashed into the car...
Even though S4 wasn't one of my favourites overall, it did contain some brilliant stand out episodes of which Something Blue was one. The comedy here is achingly funny, and this episode contains so much foreshadowing for later episodes, you can see in S4 Willow becoming more reliant of magic each time she has a crisis, and that the potential Spuffy relationship is hinted at, but in a comedic way. Hilariously funny when Giles and Buffy use the words impotent and flaccid referring to Spike in the bath. Interesting too that Spike is so much more perceptive of Willow's pain over Oz. Overall a great episode to look back on.
thank you for pointing out the hypocrisy of Buffys attitude toward willow after the way she has acted from relationship issues. I always felt like they weren't being very fair to willow in this episode.
Fun reaction. This is a funny episode but don’t forget what you have learned watching Buffy…. It’s never totally what you see. There are messages, arcs, foreshadowing etc. taking place in plain sight. The humor takes over but watch Willow and her actions. We know Buffy has a hidden bag in her room with her slaying weapons. Now we see Willow has a foot locker filled with all sorts lof witch supplies. It reminded me when The Mayor first openes his cabinet . This is an indicator that Willow is getting deeper into Dark Magic . Then ponder the entire recruitment of Willow to become a vengeance demon. People get angry all the time but Willow has what is perceived to have the ability and moral center to kill and inflict pain on whims. Recall the stories Anya tells Xander at the prom. For us, this was the first time we were convinced that Willow had dark powers and was okay with the evil.
I'm always impressed that they managed to get Amy back for that joke 😂 Also I appreciate that you're letting us know what you're spoiled about. Seeing you pick things up and putting them together as you go will be fun! And we can say now, maybe, that the network was not on board with that development 👀
What fun, wacky hijinks this episode. Poor Willow in so much pain but it's dangerous to rely on magic to try and push through it quickly so it's less...well, painful. And 'Spike lips! Lips of Spike!' Dunno what you're complaining about, girl.
After the way Buffy moped around after Parker ... The audacity to expect Willow to just snap out if it it always bugged me . We saw Buffy drive in 'Band Candy' and it was not great 😂😂😂
The Buffy/Spike bickering is just choice. All the little riffs on character and dialogue were hilarious. About 30 more minutes under that spell and Spike would have had a moment of "perfect happiness"...
When the spell is reversed there is that moment of hesitation between Spike and Buffy. They realize they've been enjoying it before they jump into the exaggerated disgust!
See, that's that thing that actually pisses me off. The whole bi-erasure thing with Willow. Joss Whedon is so clueless about how sexuality works that, instead of having Willow go "Oh, I think I like girls as well as guys," he had her go full-on "What are boys? Ew gross!" TV stereotype lesbian that completely tries to gaslight the audience into believing that Willow was always a lesbian despite the childhood crush she had for Xander and her very wonderful, loving relationship with Oz. She's not a lesbian. She's bi, whether Joss wants to admit it or not.
Riley doesn't know the name Spike. To him he's just "Hostile 17"
“What’s wrong with Buffy”
“Ugh… such a good question”
Giles is always so hilarious
Hahaha
Also, she drove in Band Candy, she was terrible at it and Snyder called her a naughty word. 😂
Oh of course

6:40 she drove in Band Candy. She may still be paying her mom in instalments for repairs.
Legit been waiting for you to get to this episode since you started the show lol your love of Spike makes me so happy
Hahah thanks
lmao when they woke up from the spell it looked like Spike enjoyed it and waited for her reaction to mirror it.
This is such a fun episode! The episodes where everything goes haywire are just comedy gold.

I'm real sad you got spoiled on Willow's sexuality, but it's still such a good watch!
This episode is so chaotic. Giles meandering around having to listen to it all. 😅
Comedy gold. The next one is a masterpiece

Yeah so random

This is one of the episodes I rewatch the most. The comedy is on point
Soo funny
As Spike attempts to kill Willow - “That’s my man.”
🤣🤣 literally

to be fair, Ryley can say anything to me and I would collapse into a pile or onto him...
Bahahah
Remember the words of wisdom from Principal Snyder: "Wow, Summers, you drive like a spazz!"

She doesn’t know how lucky she was lol

Yeah, D'Hoffryn's not so bad. I mean, he's a demon, sure, but he's a pretty reasonable demon until you piss him off.
