According to Gucci's description, it's a lip balm. I recently bought it (Julie) and I highly recommend it over YL or other luxury brand. When I wear a lipstick on the top of the lip balm, it creates an amazing colour.
Hi Lexi, I really love Call It A Day on you and that would be my choice...it's a super pretty shade! That being said there's barely any product and for you to have to apply hourly it could be gone in short time. 😨 Thank you for the pros and cons and yes the packaging is on point. 😍
🙏🏻 THANK YOU, certainly saved me a lot of money. Love the new Guerlain though 😀 REALLY looking forward to the new WA lip balms. Your reviews are so stellar- can’t thank you t
Such a helpful review Lexi as there are so many beautiful lipsticks to choose from. Thanks to your information I can pause on purchasing these Gucci lipsticks. 🙏💕☀️😘
Hi Lexi, Thank you for your honest opinion. I was going to skip Gucci lipstick because, right now I have too many Chanel lipsticks. But, now I have an educated reason as to why I should skip it. The packaging is beautiful, the chic tube is so pretty, but the color range is not that great but if it’s going to cost that much for that amount of product, then it’s not for me. Thanks for your video! 💕💕💕
Great thumbnail Lexi, it sums up your review perfectly... I couldn't agree with you more on everything you mentioned... I will be keeping one in 514 mostly for the beautiful packaging and I like the color, despite the disappointing performance.
Granted I literally just put it on, but Louise Orange is so pretty and vintage feeling I don’t even care! Also, while the scent is border-lining taste, it’s not as bad as the Givenchy so I can let it slide. I don’t necessarily plan on buying more, cause it takes a lot for me to really buy a lot of lip products at this point, I do think I would repurchase this color. The packaging is right up my alley. I can’t lie.
@@LexiJong I agree though that these really are fancy lip balms. Which typically I am not a fan of, but plenty of brands do them, so I am not sure why they’re pretending it’s a lipstick. YSL, Dior, Chanel, etc. have no problem selling you pricey balms.
Thank you for your honesty. I really look forward to Monday's video. I am enjoying the Chanel one and ordered the Gucci from Sephora. SIsley-Paris has a pencil type product that is a similar formula and also really nice. It feels lovely on the lips - Phyto something.
Good morning Lexi. I was waiting for this review. I don't think that this lipstick are for me. We can easely find a similat lipsticks on the market, less pricey! Of course that the packaging matters :))))) thank you for the update. Ida
This confirms a no buy for me. I was concerned about all of the issues you described and decided that I would get more of the coco blooms if I wanted more spring shades! Or perhaps try the guerlain that you love!
I had this in my Sephora cart and took it out last minute because I saw lip swatches and they are way too light. Can’t see spending that much on a balm. Great video
Thank you for this review. I think I’ll be passing on the Gucci in favor of the Chanel Rouge Coco Bloom. I’m also hoping to try the new Westman Atelier liquid lip balms. I keep checking the Sephora site and they are listed, but unavailable for purchase as of this morning.
@@LexiJong Thank you so much for the information. I look forward to seeing your review on them. There is a small, local boutique that carries WA and I may wait and make my purchase from them as I also try and support my local businesses.
Look for a symbol on the bottom (or the bottom of the box) that looks like a container with a lid propped open, it should have a number of months written inside. That is the suggested time of use after opening. It's not on all items unfortunately.
I got two I picked up Sally Soft Honey and Call it a day too , the formula feels nice but has a funny taste and the shades I picked are VERY sheer 😔 especially the Sally Soft Honey shade. I was hoping for more color to be honest but it may be a me issue not a product issue.
It must be an issue with the lipstick and not us! It is ridiculous how much you need to apply to see color! These should be called a whipped lip balm instead imo.
@@LexiJong they just became available at Sephora I picked it up with the sale of course lol I'm a sucker for packaging!!! I picked up the shade Peggy Taupe, I hope it'll be a good shade for me! I also feel like getting a Gucci lipstick 😂
Idk the wholes on the packing freaks me out I wish it was smooth or solid I have that A phobia of wholes so yeah it can be like 1 hole is okay but if it is like multiple holes I can’t look at it makes me scared
Thanks for the review, I won't be buying.... I don't own any Gucci lipsticks but I seriously don't want fragrance in my lipstick and stay away from anything that might feather. Not to mention the cost....
Have you tried these? Let me know what you think!
Thank you for mentioning the scent. I’m very sensitive to scents in lipsticks.
You are welcome! It is a shame that there are scents in so many luxury products. It really isn’t necessary.

I am working on a full comparison for tomorrow of all of these similar style lipsticks.

Hey lexi I love the colour call it a day ... definitely my kind of colour .. looking beautiful as always.. 🤗❤️❤️
Thank you Michelle!
@@LexiJong ❤️❤️
I strictly bought for the beautiful packaging. They nailed that! But agree with you on the formula.
It is a shame that the formula didn’t meet the packaging standards!

I am so glad you agree Gita and thanks for trying the deeper shades!
Thanks for your helpful thoughts about these lispticks!
Thanks for watching!
Very helpful, saved me some money there as i was so tempted! 👌
I am glad to help!
Love love your videos🥰🥰 Do you know when the hourglass vanish stick blushes will be coming to Sephora?
They are up now!
Thanks so much for your candor! Much appreciated 😎

Thanks Ida! I agree.
Glad I chose the new Guerlain over this for the sale!
I ordered a few too many!
These look beautiful on you!
Thank you!
Thank you so much! This video was very helpful 👏🌹👍❤❤❤
I am so glad!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh they are my kind of lipsticks ! Bonne journée Lexi
Thanks! Have a good day too!
Great review Lexi 😍 yes not worth the price💋for sure I agree with you
Thank you Foteini!
Ugh!! This has me on the fence now. There is only one shade I want to match the Miel liner, but now I’m unsure 🤦🏻♀️ thanks for sharing
Other people like them so maybe you will ?
@@LexiJong yea as soon as the one shade comes in stock I’ll try it and see.

Thank you for the video! Have you tried the Saie lipgloss you purchased?
Not yet! I am hoping to do a Saie grwm this week.

The WA balms wine be at Sephora until 4/20 unfortunately, the day after the sale of course! I ordered two from the WA site though!

@@kellyroo3 you are so lucky to have access to them in person!
Now I don’t care as much that I haven’t picked up any of these. The shades looked pretty on you though ❤️
Thank you!! They aren't worth it imo but you should try the Guerlain if you like the brand.
Appreciate your honest review. I have enough Gucci lipsticks so am passing on these.
The Gucci lipsticks you have look amazing on you! I always love your Gucci clips!
@@LexiJong Thanks Lexi. Will have to do a few more! Enjoyed Sisley Clubhouse Room today.

I left my comment at the very beginning and it's so funny that we both have the exact same thoughts on these lol
It must be an issue with the lipstick and not us! It is ridiculous how much you need to apply to see color! These should be called a whipped lip balm instead imo.
Call it a day is a beautiful formulation & finish but the product is so small & reapplying is necessary often. It is a special occasion lippie.
Definitely! It would not last long with daily use.
Great thumbnail!
Thank you!
Do you prefer the chanel bloom lipsticks over the Gucci lipsticks?
Yes i do. They are very different from each other though.

Uh oh...what is it with brands and scents you can taste. I ordered one, so hopefully it's not as bad as Givenchy.
I actually don’t have a problem with most Givenchy but i recently tried a gloss or something from them that was too much!
@@LexiJong Maybe they increased the fragrance 😧. The two products I bought were from last year I believe.

Yes, they are pretty pricey for what you get!
Uh-oh, if Lexie doesn’t like them, then, they mustn’t be good.
Lol! Just not worth it imo!
