    Found this after googling preheat vs reheat HVAC explanation to make sure I understood and found this gem of a video. Well done.

    Question, @3:24 you say that you don't want to run both coils at the same time, but earlier the discussion was about preheat vs reheat. ...Aren't the heating coils running concurrently with cooling in both scenarios? Thank you

      In preheat, very cold, possibly subfreezing air is being drawn into the system and must be heated before it can be used, so only the heating coil is being used. And reheat may be required if high dehumidification results in lower than normal cooling temperatures. This of course is to be avoided if at all possible, because it results in simultaneous heating and cooling.

    I have a multi zone Air handler and the water is being blown off the coil and on to the back of the cabinet what could be the issue. The unit has been balanced and is running at design speed.

    can anyone explain to me what bringing oa down to saturation means???

    • @TitusHVAC
      @TitusHVAC  2 роки тому

      When we “bring outside air to saturation”, we are generally dropping the temperature. When the air reaches its saturation temperature and pressure, the dew point has been achieved. By bringing air to a point below the dew point, we can create condensation and reduce the moisture content of air in order to dehumidify.

      Thks,however am seeking the following regarding a dessicant doas.
      "Why would dropping precooled air to saturation be advantageous upstream of the dessicant wheel on the oa intake side of the airstream.Dessicant density is high,thks
