I wonder who the target is for the therapist. She healed fast. I know we watch for the suspense but this relationship has been a rollercoaster. The brother seems to know it. Maeve I wonder how long she can take this before she gets really tired.

Like Nicole, I too grew up in a dysfunctional family with an overbearing narcissistic mother. Who was an adult child herself. Very unsupportive and judgemental. Bless her heart! She too wanted to live her life's dreams through her kids. Even if she had to squish our spirits chasing after her ideals. In spite of her selfishness, it never occurred to me that she was trying to hijack our existence. Probably, because in my heart I had no animosity towards her. Somehow her narcissism was not threatening to me. Sadly, that doesn't appear to be the case for Nicole's character. Her rage towards Leanne screams "what about me!" This pathological need for acknowledgement in itself reveals a very shallow level of emotional intelligence or maturity. Yes, Leanne is deeply flawed. No doubt Leanne failed at providing Nicole a healthy and loving developmental environment. Nevertheless, mommy-issues are rarely about the mother. Whatever deficits are only ours to resolve.

Nic has no personality at all. For what I see, she lets everyone get in her way. She's really insane but I'm not really sure that her mon is totally guilty of that. Nic is a child in an adult's body. Her attitude towards life scares me.
When Nic overreacts and is super stressed people say she´s gotta do something about it. But when she actually does they aren´t pleased either. Jeeez, let her be and back the fuck off! This is something I am generally annoyed by in Shorty. Why does nobody have friends outside of work? That doesn´t seem healthy at all. And everyone is up in each others buisness

Don't like what happen w/ Nicole's character but Leanne is too much interferance, inserting herself, like all things that thappen to Nic's life, she's the reason. They should understand, support give her space and let her be, have life & time w/ Maeve. She's great when she'll be back in normal. Yes she's insecure & the start of her character she's a loving sister, a loving person & go w/ what she feel. We all need boundary, limit, space of our own, people can get too annoying when we let them always have to say.
Soooo nicole is supposed to be miserable just so she won't hurt her mom's feelings 🤔 usually I say nicole tripping but in this case she has to have that space or else she'll snap and end up killing her self or her mom so they need to respect that
