    Stellenbosch must be a blue print which black people must copy to reach greater economic levels in south Africa

    • @isoboy1000
      @isoboy1000 2 роки тому +1

      Economically we won't reach that level with the ANC still in power, let vote them out first all the CODESA agreement they have with the Boederbond will fall off.
      We had an opportunity to do that but the ANC was cornered to sign an agreement to policies that guaranteed that the Afrikaaners contain the economic control hence there is no black Billionaire in SA that hasn't got a leg-up from the White Capitalists.

    32:20 "...we should exploit that." literally got goosebumps from the profundity of that statement. There's nothing that keeps Blacks from building wealth like Afrikaners except our unwillingness to learn from them. We have the numbers, well beyond the critical mass and cooperative wealth, to establish similar entities like CAPITEC, PSG and MEDICLINIC.

    • @thulanitshabalala6522
      @thulanitshabalala6522 4 роки тому +16

      Well I disagree with that statement. Black people would not have an issue learning from the Afrikaners if the Akrikaners wealth was not a direct insult to black people. As this interview clearly puts it, the issue here is the failure of wealthy South Africans to leave their comfort zones (reflection and self-awareness) and use their influence to impose change which will secure their future (which is what they fail to see whether black or white). Instead, they build walls around themselves and want to buy political assures instead of social assures. As the history of our democratic state has shown that political assures granted to wealthy South African by political bodies has never saved them from social backlash and disapproval...

      I suppose the lesson is to colonise, pillage, enslave, steal land from other races and exploit hem for a few generations, be wealthy and then ask for equal treatment but still keep the "ill" begotten gains in competing with the rest. Great lesson to learn!!!

      @hantus77 2 роки тому

      @@maqangazamanyezile218 the path was self-determination after the British killed many Boer, also the Zulu king killed 100 men with their wives and children that was trying to do reconciliation for land and a treaty was signed but then the killing. The Zulu tribe killed many other black tribes but the boer never killed other boers. Eventually FW de Klerk did towards the end of his career accomplish what Piet Retief wanted to do. The self determination as you can see from the bad past was to trust nobody and in order to survive they needed to rely in themselves in building infrastructure, trade routes, techbology etc. South Africa had nuclear capacity, a good military. Today, unfortunately no government owned enterprise is profitable and the top cats enrich themselves giving empty promises to voters. 70% of South African GDP goes to Government salaries. Imagine 20% of over burdened and over taxed, tax payers leave this country. Commodity prices could drop, what then, IMF bailout with conditions. Then see who these IMF folks are. The ANC and EFF can't run this country. It is in major debt on the brink of complete collapse and you need a political party like the DA with private sector and links to western investment companies for job creation. The russians or chinese will take everything if you can't make payment. Therefore the DA is the only hope with coalition parties for South Africa.

    What does it mean to say "South Africa needs to engage with this in an adult way...stop screaming from the periphery"? I also don't understand what these people need to make a contribution, why do they need government so much? What stops them from sharing this knowledge?
    I am asking genuinely because I don't have any commerce background. Logic tells me not sharing wealth goes a long way

      Omphile Louw okay lemme try reply to your simple questions.
      1. In an adult way, in other words political parties need to somehow find common ground to build from. We disagree on everything and it plays out poorly in Parliament. Do you watch parliament?
      2. They need to make a contribution because it seems in the earlier years of the ‘Mafia’ they benefited greatly through apartheid and made billions.
      3. They need government to make the conditions nice and fertile for them. Eg. tax etc.
      You don’t need a commerce background to know this, you just have to be a South African that can read a book.
