- It's 4 weeks since my last flight so I'm rusty anyway, but now I'm out in the big wide world on my first nav exercise with Matt. 3 months since we flew together. Everything is so busy! Checking flight plan, maps, new checklists (CLEAROFF), figuring out where I am and where I should be, 1 in 60s, ETA's, GPS, frequencies on comm1 and 2, auto-pilot, flight computer, fuel, and so much more. I decicded not to be too hard on myself, so I expected mistakes and got what I expected. (e.g. runway 04 call - it's actually 03!) - I feel like I' need my L plates again!!!
Anyway, I've now landed at YLTV (thier coffee is not good) and then to the top of the Prom (Sandy Point) and back home and I'm alive. What a blast.....
Congrats on the first NAV and starting your cross country work. Its a lot more to think about though isn't it? I remember the first time i went on a NAV i was dropping maps all over the place, forgot to take times, adding things up... ahh what a headache :P then on top of all that you have to worry about circuit entries. Trust me, it get's easier! haha
hey how did you connect your radio to your camera audio??? great video by the way! :)
