The Batpod. What an amazing piece of action film protagonist equipment! It would have made the top three on the list of such devices for the year 2008, had it not been for Iron Man.
I remember getting the biggest goosebumps back in the theatres when Batman's Batpod breaks out of the Tumbler and Hans Zimmer's war drums crank up on full blast.
+evillink1 haha same, warehouse scene was the best part, but Batfleck just hid in the last battle.... "Definitive Batman" my ass, Nolan's batman would have at least try to stall dooms day, maybe trip him with some cables from the batbod, exhausted his utility belt maybe had some of that fear toxin, exploding charges, summoned some bats??
And this is probably why almost all modern interpretations of Batman fail. Batman does NOT KILL, it has been a true staple of the comic books for the longest time, occasionly with a few writers taking that rule and throwing it out the window. Burton and Snyder also did that which has unfortunately tainted Batman. Nolan walks a thin line, but ultimately succeeds in the No Kill rule because it helps dive into the complexities of Batman.
+nejisemprine And who arguing about the cgi? I just said that the physics of the whole flipping part are wrong. A truck would not flip like that ,because according to the movie it's being stopped on one side of the street by the wires and the truck has two moving parts and given the weight and the speed that is going is just impossible for the truck to flip like that.
+nejisemprine what he is saying that it is impossible to flip the truck just by attaching cables on the front of the truck. during filming, they attached hydraulics cannons in the truck's container shooting downwards. noticed that there's smoke coming out from the container? that's the pressurized gas they used. in real life, the truck wont simply just flip up together with the container.
2022 Robert Pattinson's batmobile everytime he turns it on it sounds just like the pod trying to eject but then pattison's car just peels out and has an awesome sound in the motor to exhaust, the pod peeling out and going as fast as it can to accelerate is really just some great stuff

1:15 Imagine if he just killed those kids accidentally.
I can honestly say The Dark Knight is the only movie where I remember which scenes the audience clapped at. Films like this are once in a lifetime.
I love the realistic lighting in this scene. Makes it feel more real and gritty.
The Batpod. What an amazing piece of action film protagonist equipment! It would have made the top three on the list of such devices for the year 2008, had it not been for Iron Man.
I am a Ben Affleck fan ,but Christian Bale’s Batman is the best ,of the century.
I remember getting the biggest goosebumps back in the theatres when Batman's Batpod breaks out of the Tumbler and Hans Zimmer's war drums crank up on full blast.
That “Goodbye” yo!! I remember watching it at the movies and the entire audience erupted in cheers with the Batpod ejecting. Good ass times!!!!
Same
Those men sitting there eating their sandwiches are about to be exposed to what true awesomeness is.
Im Marvels big fan, but The Dark Knight nails their every movie
When you hear no score, for that period of time until the truck flips. Love it!!!
I had to re-watch this to wash off the taste of Batman v Superman.
You are not alone
You have to admit, batman was the best part of that movie.
Relentless-Bulletstorm88 He was the only thing bearable in the movie.
evillink1 Yeah, hopefully suicide squid will redeem DC. Hopefully....
Neither the Whole Marvel Universe cannot Match this Movie
Just imagine if Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale were involved in Justice League. Lights out for Marvel. Well we all know that.
1:43 as a Chicagoan, I just love this part with Batman riding through the Chicago Pedway it’s just so badass
Glad I’m not the only one
I came for this 2:36
But people talking more about this 2:42
This is and will always be the best Batman movie.
I've seen this film a million times and watching this scene still puts me on the edge of my seat
The Bat-Pod was one of the coolest things about The Dark Knight.
Even though the physics of the truck flip are just impossible ,this scene overall is fucking amazing.
+toniquix The truck flip has no cgi, they did that for real
+nejisemprine And who arguing about the cgi? I just said that the physics of the whole flipping part are wrong. A truck would not flip like that ,because according to the movie it's being stopped on one side of the street by the wires and the truck has two moving parts and given the weight and the speed that is going is just impossible for the truck to flip like that.
toniquix mate, they flipped the truck in real life, so it's not impossible
+nejisemprine -_-
+nejisemprine what he is saying that it is impossible to flip the truck just by attaching cables on the front of the truck. during filming, they attached hydraulics cannons in the truck's container shooting downwards. noticed that there's smoke coming out from the container? that's the pressurized gas they used. in real life, the truck wont simply just flip up together with the container.
Still gives me chills 10 years later.
Why was this movie so good?!?!
I'm 23 and when I saw the scene in theater, I screamed like a little bitch.
I'm 22 and i did that too...don't worry, u r not alone...hahahah
I'm 22 and I did that too...don't worry, u r not alone...hahahah
+Yeah,i guess so what??? hahah
+15Bandoper I'm 30 and I did the same thing when I saw it in theaters.
+15Bandoper I scream and I'm 23 in that scene when I saw the theater
Rest in peace joker your performance was wounderful
This scene kinda proves that batman is just as insane as the joker
freak.😏
As a multiple motorcycle owner I think I speak on behalf of all men when I say this bike is fucking badass
Even how Heath Ledger was falling out of the truck was epic
When he drives through the mall, I always fear he's going to crash into the Blue Brothers coming the other way.
2:10 scene is giving me goosebumps
the wheels spinning end over end sideways is still one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Never seen anything like it before or since.
great scene and cinematography
No action movie can ever come close. This isn’t just a movie, it’s is a goddamn book of philosophy
Best thing about this scene is
No fucking CGI are used 😍😍
They flip the truck in real😍
2022 Robert Pattinson's batmobile everytime he turns it on it sounds just like the pod trying to eject but then pattison's car just peels out and has an awesome sound in the motor to exhaust, the pod peeling out and going as fast as it can to accelerate is really just some great stuff
One of the best movies of all time
This movie feels more like a [crime drama] then a [superhero] film to me. DAT is why this film deserves a 10/10
i keep replaying the sideways spinning wheels of the batpod, ITS SO AWESOME!!!
1:34, friend of mine who lives in Chicago showed me that mini-mall plaza. It's WAY smaller than it looks, can't be more than 30 yds from one end to the other.
i love the bat bike
