Did you forget about the inflation of money? Not sure if you thought about that.. $40 in 1975 is equivalent in purchasing power to $187.15 in 2019, a difference of $147.15 over 44 years.
Well, something else to consider about inflation is yes that amount of money is more now, but the product if made today would probably be the same price.
Hi, some years ago I saw the Puma ZDC and I really liked the simple design. I saw that there were a lot of shoes with similar designs and I even got some Adidas Neo V Racers. Is the Nike Waffle Trainers the very first shoes to sport that design?
I have a pair that only have "US PATENT NO 3793750" without the secondary patent number. It also has "9 1/2 1027" on the inside. What can you tell me about this shoes. I couldn't find much info online. Thank you in advance.
I had a couple of pairs of the LDV's, then the Daybreak that replaced it. Great shoes. At some point in 1983/1984, Nike re-released the Elite as the Elite Classic.
I can remember my dad buying his pair of Elite Classics -- it was 1982. He bought a pair of American Eagle flats the same day! That's about when Nike running shoes peaked. I don't think they've come close ever since. Ever own a pair of the original Nike Air Mariah racing flats? Perfection.
He paid $228 for a shoe that nike hasn’t even made since 1981 tho and they are older than 1985 jordan 1s too. People paying upwards to 1k-20k for a 1985 jordan 1 and i feel these are on the same level if not better and people sleep on vintage nikes

I love you Jordan, your passion is amazing!
My first Nike Air Vortex were £25 in 86 or 87. I was a child size at that point in time. That equates to $32.89 in dollars.
