Boil about a quart of tap water in that cast iron pan. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda and let it boil. It will dissolv the charred gunk. Might need to repeat a time or two. maybe follow up with scouring it with some Barkeeper's Friend scouring powder to remove the last flecks and stain. I've done it for years with good results. try adding oatmeal to the first round of boiling water and move to baking soda.

Baking soda and a can coke works great also!!!
Kosher salt works well for the final cleaning.
Thats a Dutch oven they go for $100.00 or more these days depending on brand. Good score.

My "work son's" girlfriend had and excellent job. She didn't really need a side job. But she loved photography and did people's events (weddings and other special occassions.) The thing I found the neatest about her "side job" was that every year she went to a low income high school and had them contact a set number of kids that definitely could not afford professional Senior pictures. She did the Senior pictures for those kids. As far as I know, she still does that. What a gift to those kids.
Happy Eclipse Day to those who actually got to see it. It got darker here and the squirrels disappeared, but that was about all. It started clouding up to add insult to injury. Once upon a time I was an eBay reseller, but for a long laundry list of reasons I had to bail. (some medical) An old friend used to drive the limo or the hearse for a local funeral home. He was a retired cop. I don't know how much he made, but it kept him occupied.
It didn't even get very dark here in Chicago land
Paul I enjoy the videos, been many times I would have liked to bought something you found and take it to the scrap yard, but this is the way it is.... Im a retired rural mail carrier, 30 years... side hustle is making soap and lotions... garden, raise quail and can to feed myself, family and friends... learning about herbal medicines... the good Lord put those plants here to keep us healthy... shame that so many are opposed to natural cures and treatments... if the dr doesnt give them a pill they wont even try the natural medicines.

Before my husband got sick wi 7:49 th Lewy body he used to refurbish lawn tractors and mowers. They looked brand new when he finished. He also made lots of wood working projects, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, shelves,etc. sadly he doesn't remember now how to do any of it. 😢

Hi Paul the best and easiest way to clean the pot is put a squirt of dishwasher ( morning fresh ) and 1/2 fill with water and simmer for about an hour then let sit till cool , then it should just wipe out if not just repeat , hope this helps.Higz from Australia ❤🇦🇺

I do small engine repair, and snow shovelling, but I only use a snow blower when it is to deep to use my shovel, but I only do four houses, and one I do grass too, he pays 1200.00 a year the rest 50.00 a month, and 20.00 dollars a hour on my small eng. repair plus parts, and misc. i also sell Hot wheels, model kits, collect silver coins what ever i think will sell.

I guess you could say that I’m scraping with my grandsons. We make pretty good. We clean up old trailers like campers and trash around old houses. My son said I should go into yard cleaning and mowing. It would be easier on me. I have OCD and ADHD. So taking it easy is not for me.😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

To clean that pot Paul put some bicarbonate soda about a small spoon half a liter of white vinegar and a small spoon of dish soap mix it together in the pan bring it to the boil then let it cool to temperature comfortable for your hand and rub it with mild pan scrubbing pad will bring it up like new it doesn't smell the best while doing it but worth it to get a brilliant pan

Hey to get sticky yuck out of pans . This also makes things so easy .. the dishwasher tablets with a little hot water helps lift burnt stuff out of the bottom and does not hurt the enamel coating.. may take a could but it works good ?? That is a nice pan

Lodge is a great brand of cookware. Just be sure the ceramic lining is not cracked before using. To clean, boil water in it to loosen the crud.

No, just the interior. It can chip and end up in your food.
I'm retired but I make wreaths for friends and family. Have to keep it local because it cost to much to pack and ship. Enjoy your videos.

What you have there is a ceramic coated cast iron dutch oven. Very expensive to buy. Yes, check youtube for the best and safest and earth friendly way to clen the pot.

Being disabled on disability the money ain’t working like it should due to certain things in this country going wrong! So I started my UA-cam channel and working into getting my old cabin ready to sell antiques and such on a periodic basis. I’ve bought and sold for years plus trying to build things to sell. We worked hard sold our house we built 25 years ago, left the city for country living and have not looked back. God is great and will supply our need!

You might want to make arrangements with your local Goodwill and thrift stores to set up a box for scrap metal. We have one at ours that we put in damaged or rusted merchandise for our local scrapper. He picks up once a week.

I search for throw away wood and repurpose it into small woodworking pieces. I enjoy it, keeps a few things out of the landfill, and make a few bucks.

My side hustle is a 24 year Army Veteran and I buy and sell sportscards. Between the both of us we have roughly 1.5 million cards. I do the selling on Marketplace and we also go to card shows in Wisconsin. We make a reasonable amount of extra money for the month.

Retired, 71 yrs old and repairing lawn mowers/small engines for extra money and to keep active :) Make about 300 a week average but spring is much higher income over winter so averages out to about 300/week over the year. Also part time ebay seller.

Hello Paul! Yiu definitely back up better that me! In my defense, I have a titanium plate in my neck that has limited movement. Lol. My husband and I have a side hustle. We have a mobile dj business. We run it as if we did depend on it for a living. My hubby works full time. I'm a domestic goddess (as my hubby says) I handle all the bookings and tax stuff (did I mention I hate tax time?) @ScrapPalletMan Thanks! Neck is doing good! Went from 100% pain/numbness to none (once surgical pain wore off). If I do have any pain, OTC pain relievers work. 😀 We don't have to pay sales tax, just income. It's a big headache (literally), I itemize everything then let the tax people take it from there. Very time consuming! I tell my hubby, don't talk to me during tax season. 🤣🤣
