Strongest shape is always the Triangle and it's apex of the triangle. The apex would be two times harder to penetrate than a casual angled armour as that's the place where two differend armour plates connect with welding. Hull armour for front is 53mm and for the side is 30mm. The shot was angled on 45 degree, which means that the thickness of front was 79.5mm and the thickness of side was 45mm. But here comes the thing.. That was the apex (point of a shape), which means that there were two angled armour thicknesses connecting. That's overally over 124.5mm of penetration power needed. If it was a Tiger against you, it's possible, but if it was a same BR tank to yours, it's clearly not possible.

This is entirely possible, the shell just did some weird stuff with that spaced armor on the front. Either that or the kill cam is really fucked up.
it is very much possible, Russian APHE is really good against angles
It isn’t APHE as the projectile doesn’t explode it looks like solid shoot capped so it would even have a better chance of penetrating

Thats a pretty common spot to shoot panzers that are trying to angle because of its box like shape same goes with shermans like the m4a2 and 3
