Police scanners were too. There was so much fun stuff you could hear back then from Vice squad and various other secret tactical channels. Unfortunately back in 2016 Las Vegas went encrypted and a lot of the department stores just use cellphones now so I can't even listen to the hilarious backroom worker chatter while shopping either.
@@KandiKlover Yeah I remember the local police scanners in the Chicago land area my uncle was a cop so he had a bunch of good ones that he gave to everybody that was a lot of fun I don't even know if you can do that anymore?
@@ZMAN_420 Not in Las Vegas or Chicago anymore since the police use encrypted radio. Where I live now thankfully I still can hear everything and it’s not digital either so I old scanners still work.
@@KandiKlover Interesting, I remember when all the local free T.V. channels switched from analog to digital in about 2008. 2,5,7,9,11,20,26,32,36,44,50,56 in Chicago area we would watch T.V. with rabbit ears at work on break then we had to get a digital box. Some hacker hacked channel 7,ABC or 9,WGN I think it was in Chicago 2 times in one night. 2nd time was about 15 seconds I think. In the 80's, Chicago area T.V. Max Headroom Hack. Person was wearing a Max Headroom mask and advertising Coke or was it Pepsi. He pulled his pants down and someone was swatting his butt with a fly swatter. They never caught anyone! LOL People of interest but no arrests. F.B.I. was looking for them. You can't do that from your house anymore lol.
@@stevepowden4560 quite a few crooked cops out there. The qualified immunity, lack of accountability, and police unions are very fostering to that kind of personality. He was just one of the few that actually managed to get caught so bad they couldn't white wash it.

"Were not gonna cheat you". Uhm, they can remove any player that is too lucky for their taste, so the Casinos can indeed cheat you. They can cheat you out of luck and they can pretty much dictate how long they want anyone to be winning.
I have never understood the popularity of Las Vegas. No offense if you enjoy it, but I find the place to be impossibly trashy, gauche, and insane. It's the perfect city for police who want a lot of bizarre action, because it's a really bizarre place.
i get ots a stressfull job, and i understand when certain people deserve a certain amount of force, but what i never understood is why some of these cops take it so personal and get so aggressive, angry and even violent with some of these guys for simply using drugs. Nobody wants to be a junkie. Nobody wants to go to jail, ofcourse they will lie or run. Why take it so personal
Sorry but 12:45 minutes in you can tell the older young guy in the purple shirt is lieing his ass off. Just the way he keeps moving around and everything. Wow
COPS WAS IN IT'S PRIME IN 1997! One of the best T.V. shows on FOX who started in the mid-late 80's!👍🏻🇺🇲

Love these old episodes!
One of the more fascinating episodes. You'd think a cop would know better than to rob a casino.
I know, especially with a gun, and your pension on the line.
Cops aren’t known for their intelligence or moraliry

CHEATERS JUSTICE!!!!
I love how advanced the casino security thought the camera set up was. 30 years from now we'll be talking about how crappy 1080P looks 😂
So when the customer cheats it's a felony, but when the casino cheats it's just another day at work....
That’s how businesses work 🤷♂️

Anyone else got Robert de niro in casino vibes at the start of the video? Especially when talking about the eye in the sky.
Good episode
But that e30 at 7:57 tho…

That girl crying about the gun is a total clown, glad the neighbor came out with a gun to make it safe.
