There’s the first “under-rated” comment on this videos comment thread. Every music video has either a “this song”, “this group”, “this guitar player”, is “under-rated… what exactly do you mean by this song is underrated? The song was #1 on the rock charts. The album went platinum. So what exactly is “underrated” about it? It seems to have been extremely successful but not successful enough for you?

@@dancapnron1 As a devout Volbeat fan myself, I can understand why they'd have haters. A lot of their songs are formulaic / similar as they follow a lot of chord progressions and melodies. Also many will claim that Volbeat has leaned further from their hard rock roots and became more mainstream / radio friendly / softer. Comparing their newest album to their earliest stuff, this is definitely true. Lastly, Volbeat isn't a heavy metal band but is always finds itself in some line up at metal shows. They played at Knotfest with Behemoth, Gojira, and Slipknot; all actual metal bands and very different from Volbeat. When metal fans see a band like Volbeat in that lineup, they're likely not going to want them there (Volbeat got a lot of flack from the audience at those shows). Volbeat in my opinion belongs in the hard rock scene rather than the metal scene, and should be playing in lineups with other bands such as Foo Fighters, Staind, Godsmack, etc. and stay away from metal shows entirely.
@@Caine61 i agree that they are more Rock than Metal but volbeat has so many Songs that mix Genres that you cant put them in 1 genre so you have to decide from song to song :)
Fish volbeat could put together a totally awesome set of all metal songs if they wanted for one of of those concerts if they wanted though.

Poulsen's voice is a mixture of James Hetfield, Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. Pretty amazing combination nowadays in rock'n roll.
And this is actually the greatest perfomance of Lola Montez ever. In the year of 2013, when Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies album came out. They played this song a little bit faster here and it sounds more awesome.

For the most part, I have given up real Rock N Roll since the mid 80's. Since then, it has been the classic rock station. Volbeat has given me belief that true Rock N Roll still exists and is worth listening to! This old man has found a new love for some young ROCK!!!!!

After hearing this song several times on 89x (Detroit market), I looked them up on iTunes, and ended up getting their last three albums. I love their sound, and it's a nice mix of several genres (Rock, metal, blues and even some country).
Plus any band that can sound this good live deserves some attention. :)

Mareth Deadly Technically, the word "Volbeat" refers to a specific plurality of people, therefore the contraction of "do not" is grammatically, if not aesthetically, correct. For example, think of the word duck, would you you say "ducks does not cross water"? Of course not, you would say "ducks do not cross water". Thus, if one is referring to the collective group of artists within Volbeat and not the singular identity of the brand noun, then the original usage still stands. Next time, it is better to just let somehting go rather than be an asshole about it, especially an asshole who is wrong.
I have NEVER listen to a song that brings emotion out me this powerfully, this is currently my favorite song of all time.

I had never heard of this bend before I saw them open for A7X and Metallica in Detroit. They were one of the most electric act I have ever seen. I enjoyed every second of their set, and have been hooked on them ever since.
