Absolutely stunning. Love how he stayed true to the Buick being under the hood but modernized it just a little bit. Wicked car
The original Buick Wildcat concept cars have always been among my favorites. That recreation is beautiful, and required a serious amount of dedication not to mention financial investment.
This build is definitely going to be around for a long time because it’s so unique and well done.
thats awesome. this guy really went all in for this modern classic.
Scottie, you just keep doing it. Great cars. Great videos. Great interviews. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks.
Absolutely astounding! Wildcat II was always one of my favorite motorama cars, and the quality of this recreation is just jaw dropping. The parts fabrication, the paint,......just everything. Not a project for the faint of heart! Thank you for bringing it to life, I hope I'm lucky enough to see it in person some day.
That is an awesome find! And to think that the only way to see a car so rare, and unique in person has to be recreated for eyes to behold is kinda sad! But an awesome build. Truly amazing! Thanks Scottie.
I hear ya....glad to have been able to shoot it...Glad you enjoyed it Brother!
This is a perfect example of immaculate craftsmanship!! I agree with one of you other fans Buick would be wise to think about putting something similar to this on the market!
Absolutely beautiful. I one off work of art. Congratulations to the people who built and designed this piece.
Seen lots of 54 Vettes. Seen a few pics of a similar Ponta-soareses (show cars). Never ever heard of a Buick! Your some kinda Indiana Jones Scottie! Thanks to everyone in bringing this to life.
Omg this beats anything Gm is doing today.......and they wonder why their bankrupt.......wow. I wanna see the Pontiac version!
My brother, this 54 Buick is a true gem in time a true sports car Wildcat V8 engine with 4 carburetors ....... 425 Good fierce.
Fantastic work, never seen anythng like it 👌
Really exciting to see and hear a real enthusiast talk to your master piece 😎
Wow!...Very Very Impressive.....one of a kind Beauty!....I wonder what that would be worth?
I have a coffee table book on ‘Concept Cars’ and this model is in it. It’s one of my two or three favorites. The other is the Chevrolet Biscayne. That should be your next project.
Thanks for checking it out...Glad You liked it....I just shoot the videos...I could never build something like this...
@@ScottieDTV : I know. I liked a video you did of a cinnamon colored ‘62 Buick Skylark which I think you filmed in Georgia. That was cool. ‘Good job Hancock!’ 😄
C'est une vrais œuvre d’are, ce mec a fait un travail remarquable!!!
No doubt about it...a labor of love right here....thanks for checking it out!!
Nice how beautiful a car can be built, when the government / insurances companies are not involved.
There's so many guys out there that are artist even though they're just building cars but they are freaking artist and bad thing next to Scotty is a freaking artist
I love It! sure inspired me to do a wild creation breaking out my pencil and paper... And gotta love the broomstick hood propup just like a true hotrodder lol.
How can you possibly top this one Scottie?
This is by far the best I've seen!
That wildfire wildcat 2 is and always will be on top of the world 🌍 with it’s reproduction car god bless you all.
awesome recreation
With out question....but how many people will appreciate the work that sits here...That complete body...interior....ect...hand fabricated...8 years to build....CRAZY!
ScottieDTV oh i hear yah , the owner appreciates an that it what truely matters
Really nice car. Makes me curious how much it will be to re create another one
My first thought when I saw It was Corvette then as I kept looking the Buick came about. Nice color combo wide whites on those rims Nails It..There's one more like this around.
He didn't have to make the engine look period, but he did. I need to see what else this guy has built.
Whata' nice piece!! Being a Buick guy, maybe his next build will be the Centurion II?? Thanks for bringing all of this to us, Scottie!!
My grandfather drove the original from a dealership to the Muskogee Free state fair.
The only parts used that are simular to my 59 corvette are, Windscreen shape and surrounding chrome, Gear shifter, rubber mould and gear pattern decal, revision mirror and perhaps the spinners on the wheel, apart from that there is virtually nothing else from the C1 corvette line. Its a beautiful car and would of loved to have see it as a production vehicle.
Wow the guy presenting the car turned 30yrs younger after the camera faced him at the end. Beautiful car though. 💯💯
dam it scottie way to start the newyear with a bang brotha keep on bringing the heat .
Corvette hybrid! Rear deck lid, windscreen, seats and wells, the tail light, the dash, banjo steering wheel. Up front what a neat job! Beautiful! Love the way they cleaned up the front clip and wheel wells. Great post, never have seen this one or one like it. Is that a nail head sitting under the hood?
3melendr I saw this car at the Flint, MI Back to the Bricks car show. I have a BAD case of I WANTS for it!
Ces très belle voiture bravo sa me rappelle les belle année de ma genesse
i believe the original car was a running driving car, not just a show car. never saw it drive down the street but i have seen it running and moving
Cool looking unit. … someone copy this and make it an. Ev …for a daily driver …. Nice interior. Creature comfort is where it’s. At
THE PONTIAC VERSIION FROM '54 HAD A STRAIGHT 8 CYL & PRETTY MUCH THE SAME INT. LAYOUT......IVE FORGOTTEN THE NAME; I REMEMBER BUICK HAD A CONCEPT CAR FROM THE 50'S KNOWN AS ' THE LeSABRE.....HENCE THE FULLSIZE PRODUCTION MODEL, LE SABRE.
Мужики, было бы сног сшибательно сделать его (или копию-№2) Электромобилем! Бесшумный Бьюик с динамикой "Теслы" произвёл бы сильное впечатление!)
If your cable / satellite service carries the show Mystery Cars you can see the original there
Harley Earl is my grandfather's brother. As I did not know Harley, I enjoy learning about him, and particularly enjoyed your video about the Buick Wildat II, designed during time Harley was VP of GM Art + Design. Thank you! A nice link about Harley + his Buick history history.gmheritagecenter.com/wiki/index.php/Earl,_Harley_J.
Super nice car...why in the hell cant they make them now...and affordable....
Beutyfull Buick i own 2 68 Rivieras one is a rare GS option only 5000 made .
that has to be the best looking ugly car I have ever seen. if that makes any sense
these guys don't know their history, story goes that the only wildcat 2 ever built was saved by harley earl, somehow got it shipped in pieces to e l cord where it sat at his home for years until after his death and the sale of the house. its now in a museum, not with buick .
@@ScottieDTV no disrespect intended for sure, the wildcat 2 concept was just about my favorite of all i've ever seen, hard to believe they didn't produce it. and ive been looking for this recreation for a while since i first heard of it so thanks for posting, i think the original is in the Sloan museum
Buick could have been the Sport cars GM is been looking for with Cadillacs and I am sorry but Cadillacs to me are not going anywhere , Buick could have been an amazing Sport Car right now competing with the Germans like BMW and Audi’s but GM is killing this amazing brand so sad 😞 Buick needs to get away from GM before is to late
Man talk about commitment; 8 years is a quest, but he did it right. Thanks for shooting it Scottie.
You ant kiddn...No problem....glad to do it!
