This Video is of the greatest essance, foot work, timming, "sensitivity". It is water that brings flooding, or life. Winds that brings tornado/hurricane, cold that brings freezing, heet that brings the boil. Not all can be grasped. and it is those that can understand, that will float, bend, and if need, cover, that will ride the storm.

You are correct in what you said - evasion is key, though there are many, many things to work on in this exercise depending on your level of skill.

    Thank you for your postings!
When I get back to the Bay Area. I just gotta look you guys up!! I have been practicing double stick and walking cane free flow with my students and we are trying you mimick your graceful movements. We are have a lot of fun with it and it is starting to look pretty good, but still have a lot to learn.
    Thanks again.

The idea of the drill is to teach evasion while defending rather than merely blocking. As if one is ghost like and intangable to the opponent

Could someone please explain to me what's going on here? What is the purpose of the drill? How do you do it? Etc. I did FMA for about 5 years but I never saw anything like this. My training was heavy in doce pares. I want to understand this drill. Thanks.
