Sounds good... i do it on that way because i want to use the middle axis of the pulley as the turning axis for milling ✌🏻

Entertaining, but waaaaaaaaay overkill.
Try this: Thread the blank on a bolt, chuck it up in a drill, hold it horizontally over a spinning router that has a round bit. (It'll even work if you do it over a sawblade. Won't be as repeatable, of course)
