2 pieces of lume literally fell out today of mine. I have also already sent it back to Tudor once to have the same problem fixed. Owned for sub 2 years 👎🏽
I had a watchmaker repair my 5 min bezel lume I highlighted in my video. $45. It’s not perfect, but pretty dang good. Bummer this happens in the first place.
@@davidpayton723 Yikes? Are you allowing hot or cold temps to affect the watch? My theory is the 2 materials thermally expand and contract at different rates, allowing the lume to pop out. Thanks for the update!
$500... Holy smokes. I thought maybe ummm... $40? to put in a lume marker. Gosh, the origianl blue version is still my grail watch. Love the depth of the dial which the newer versions lack. Hope you make a video once you get it lumed!
Yep. Buy new from an AD and it’ll be covered by warranty. I had bought mine pre-owned. It’s out getting repaired now without replacing the entire bezel. I’ll do a follow up. The blue is awesome!
Hi @Mountain Standard Time I have the same issue with my Pelagos but it is black and stands out far more as you know.. How did you have yours repaired ultimately? I have seen some bezel inserts for sale for ~$30 but I am not really sure if that is a good fix. Who did you send it to for the fix?
Hyde park in Scottsdale AZ did it for me. You can call and ask if you can ship it to them. New bezels run close to $500. So worth the repair. It won’t be 100% matching, but very close.
@@MountainStandardTime Thanks so much for the quick reply!! Do they use a replacement ceramic insert or did they actually fill in the missing pip with lume? My watch is literally only 3 months out of warranty, so I am going to bring it to RSC in person this week but I’m assuming that they won’t do anything to help. I saved up for quite some time to buy it- the Pelagos was my grail watch.. I hate that they have problems like this.
People will forgive because it is Tudor. But their QC is getting like Seiko (who the same people bad mouth). Between date wheels breaking and bezels falling apart - When will snobs wake up to the Tudor rip off (both their prices AND their designs!).
@Mrs. Riki honestly if the brand wasn’t associated with Rolex people would actively dislike them. They are purchased and defended through association only.
Yes. I bought it used a couple years ago. Another reason to buy from an AD new with the Pelagos. I did send it out to a Lume specialist watchmaker, so I’ll do a follow-up.
Makes me think twice before getting the new Pelagos 39
one of the main reasons I opted for the 54

Update: A total of 6 lume markers have now fallen out. I am sending back out to Rolex for a second time this weekend

Went the $45 route. Not perfect, but pretty dang good! Good enough for me and I’m picky.
No. It was close to $45 to have the indices relumed. An entire new bezel is $500.

What a bummer. So your watch is out of the five year warranty then I assume?
