    I just finished pulling the harness out of my '04 Forester donor this weekend. Kudos to you for documenting this and good luck on your conversion!

      Thanks Brent! Hopefully you enjoyed yours, I really didn't mind the job too much. Definitely tedious though.
      Best of luck with yours as well. Enjoy the process man!

    I am pulling my Subaru engine and wiring harness from 1998 Legacy Outback beginning today. Helpful video. How is your project going? Any more videos?

    Have you bought a kit to covert the vanagon or you piecing it together yourself? Good work so far

      Thanks Garrett!! Yes, I went with the Rocky Mountain Westy conversion kit for this swap. Pretty complete, and a bit easier since you don’t have to track down all of the parts separately - although I wouldn’t be opposed to doing that if I do another swap in the future!

    Did you finish your swap?

      @BluffCoast  Рік тому +2

      Yes I did! Finished it up just in time for our trip at the time!
      I have the rest of it documented, and have plans to finally get the videos edited and uploaded on here regularly again. 😁

    A metal Sawsall blade would have cut the metal crash bar

      Yeah… clearly I wasn’t well equipped hahaha. In retrospect that would have been a great move, but I’m glad the saw did the job!

    Next time dont use a wood blade on your sawzall…. Try a metal blade

      Appreciate the tip! Realized a bit too late, didn’t have anything on hand so I somehow made it work 😅
