    FYI, for those who want to adjust the acoustic guitar parameters for different patches, the software update launched around March 2017 addressed this issue - so don't be put off by the comments regards inability to adjust in the video.
    This pedal is, in a word, awesome!

    Now that this has been around for a while is there any planned update for it? So you can utilize, newer faster chips, etc. and add new features to stay ahead of the competition like Boss. I would love to see a better looper and something like an IR loader instead of the body rez effect, also the ability to control EQ for guitar and Voice.

    Great clip fellas. I particularly liked your little injection of 'Sisters' in there… ;)
    I have a VoiceLive2 Extreme and would love to see a little more of what that unit offers guitarists?

      Julian Langan-Fox The VL2 and VL2X both offer a basic set of chorus, reverb and a tuner. We won't be adding any guitar stuff to VL2. It was really with Play GTX that we made the move to more robust guitar effects and that continued into VL3 and Play Electric.

    I strongly disagree about only wanting one acoustic guitar sound. They should have let you have at least two acoustic guitar settings, one for picking and one for strumming and a "Hit" button to go between the both in a song at will.

      @andrewcalvert6288 5 років тому

      Yes. Totally. One of the main issues I'm having trying to pick an acoustic pick up is that finger pickers select way more sensitive and trebly sounds and then just jump to strumming and it always sounds awful. Doesn't tell you if the pick up works or not!

    I have TC Helicon Play Acoustic for a year or more. It was a great device! Just recently, the unit acts strange. It turn on OK, but suddenly it just HANG/ FREEZE. Display is ON, stuck with all buttons and knobs not working. Also it can not detect input sound, no output either. I have tried to RESET, and also updated the unit with latest firmware via VoiceSupport. The problem still happens after a couple of minutes ON.
    Any suggestions? Please help!!!
    I write to you here because your website has no proper User's Forum or Chat feature. The one in MusicTribe is the worst kind of consumer's/user's forum platform. No experts from TC Helicon have really look or answer questions/issues posted there.

    Love the pedal but have an issue. I play 2 different guitars through the TCHPA depending on the situation, they have completely different pickup systems (piezo & K&K transducer). When I play the guitar with the piezo, Body Rez 2 sounds great with minor tone tweaking. With the K&K, I have to drastically pull out lows and mids and do some other EQ shaping to get the tone right. Is there any way I can save the "custom" body rez setting for the K&K? If I were to go into Body Rez 2 and do any tone tweaking, it automatically overides the custom setting I had for the K&K equipped guitar. Just a pain to change all of those parametric settings each time.

    How can you switch from one tone
    preset to another while playing live?
    Are you going to turn the tone
    selector with your fingers while
    playing live? Or can you do it with your foot
    while playing live?
    Anyone?
    Thanks!

    Hi Team,
    I use Fender CD60CE acoustic guitar with D'addario Strings (Bronze or Phosphor Bronze, 0.11 gauge). It has Fishman® Isys III System Pick up which goes to TC Spark> TC Ditto Looper> TC Helicon Play Acoustic. Is that a good chain?
    Also, I wanted to know correct or may preferable chorus, reverb and body rez settings for the guitar I use.

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому

      +Arpit Chourey There's boost available in the Play Acoustic, along with a looper, so you might be able to simplify your chain a bit. That said, the spark can give more boost than the PA (if I recall correctly) and the Ditto offers longer looping time, so my suggestion may be moot.
      There's no real "preferred" settings other than what you like. I typically use BodyRez 1 and tweak it from there. For me, less is more for the chorus and reverb. I often change reverbs to be close to what the vocal reverb is on a given song, so the guitar/vocals sound like they're in a shared space.

    Can you create your own presets that have both custom vocal effects and custom guitar effects? You mention in the video that once your guitar is set how you want it that's pretty much how it should stay, but what if you transition into a more atmospheric song in your set and you want to go heavier on the guitar reverb?

    The play acoustic is absolutely brilliant! Quick question... I play the acoustic and the electric guitar, would it alright if I plugged in the electric to the device (instead of investing in the play electric)?

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому +5

      Yes, you're totally fine to do that. You probably want to disengage the BodyRez FX, but otherwise the FX work equally well for electric. We even have a video in the playlist for Play Acoustic of someone doing just that. 😊

      +TC-Helicon hey... going back to my previous comment about using the Play Acoustic with an electric guitar... can i use pedals running before the play acoustic?

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому +2

      +menonadi The more you mess with the signal prior to it going into our pitch detectors, the less likely it is that we can pull clear chords out of the incoming audio. If it's chorus or delay or something, that's probably not too bad. If you're putting crazy distortion on it, that makes things more difficult. The alternative is to bypass the guitar effects in Play Acoustic altogether and use the In/Thru instead. You'd go Guitar --> IN --> THRU --> Pedals --> Amp. That way your signal is perfectly clean into the Play and then moves on to the rest of your guitar setup.
      That said, if you're already playing through pedals and an amp, you might want to go with something simpler like a Harmony Singer if you don't need all of the vocal effects in the Play. HS has Tone, Reverb and Harmony in a small pedal. www.tc-helicon.com/products/harmony-singer/

    Hello :) I have question about using Play Acoustic. Is that possible to play on Play Acoustic bypassing guitar processing? Big thanks, and greeting from Poland :)

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  6 років тому +1

      Play Acoustic doesn't have a "thru" so the guitar is always going in/out of the unit, but you could turn off all the guitar effects and leave the unit in "global guitar FX" mode so that you just have the same (no effects) sound on every vocal preset.

    Hey Tc's friends, when I save my gitar Fx, it follows to the next preset. Pressed and listened many times to your tc e good electricity how, maybe for good drar Tommy

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  8 років тому +2

      Originally, Play Acoustic had only one set of guitar effects that were global to the unit. In a recent update, we added per-preset guitar effects, FlashBack delay and doubled the loop time. Make sure you're up to date via VoiceSupport: www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicesupport/
