Things to do in Big Bear Lake in the summer. We went to check out the Basecamp Activities at Snow Summit in Big Bear Lake and enjoyed the Tropicali restaurant for dinner. Basecamp is the place to be for family-friendly fun all summer long. Located in the base area at Snow Summit and featuring a 30-foot climbing wall, Euro Bungee, Zip Line, summer sledding, and Quick Jump. Great for outdoor adventures of all ages. I visited big bear last weekend for the first time. I love it there. It would be great to live there. It’s like a mini Lake Tahoe with out the casino’s.
