Paxton, if you get a little bit of foreskin from Buckey The Dog you can add it to a container of Lacquer Thinner for a few days and it will stretch out over the entire headboard. I'm not speaking from experience...this is just what a friend told me.
You have no idea how badly I wish I could make this bed. Lost mine in the flood and have searched the Internet unsuccessfully for two years and can’t find one to buy. This was more difficult than I thought it would be. Required a ton of lumber I wouldn’t have expected. It turned out perfect. It’s everything I’ve been looking for and can’t find.
Love this book! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
I want a fullsize bed with sceatcompmartment that i could hide pants and shirts my little brotbet2always usedingmy stuff. I got a parytime job so i can't play r To muchi want a fullside bed Brown write me back keep on with your vidio i going to stsrt learning fromm you
Could you please make a similar bed (with storage) but in the size of a double bed? Or could you possible put up the measurements for this bed but in the size of a double bed? Thanks, love your work.
I think your egg table is looking even better than it did in the video where you made it. you might not know everything about wood working but you are making really good stuff, and not just talking about it. nice bed dude
I'd love to make a sofa/day bed with storage like this! I loved your other diy mid-century sofa/day bed, but my roommate only likes furniture that sits flat on the floor because she has a few small animals.
Yet another great build.. Glue gun is good tip for fronts it just could be problem with delicate projects it could make gaps between fronts and actual drawer.I recommend you to use "mitre fast" glue you just apply fev drops and spray activator. Nice work
Pretty nice! The only thing I would do different is to eliminate the drawer rollers on the floor, in favor of simple wooden drawer slides made of one by scrap wood. two - 1" X 1"s on the inside of each cross support and one - 1" X 1" screwed onto the outside of each drawer. That makes the drawers just a tiny bit wider and eliminates any wear on the floor, or if you have carpet. Cheers!
Thank you for this video. I'm planning to make our own just like this one, but king size and this shelves headboard. Let's see how it comes out,; I'm not experienced.
I like the entir project and i want one!!! But, I don't like the drawers to have a gap for dust to get into! Ubnder beds seems to gather lots of dust so I don't want that on my clothes of blankets after I store them. Make the drawer fronts higher with s small outside indent to be able to pull them. I like the casters and the mask looks awesome!!!
Hey man I’m a junior at my high school and I really liked what you do you inspired me to create things and i just wanted to know what did you had to do to get to this level like what career or sum that you did to learn this. You the bomb man keep doing what you doing
Ahh caught ya showing off your southpaw hand. lol. It's always good to see another lefty on youtube. I do a little wood working left handed but all of my stringed instruments are lefty so guitar, violin, and banjo. Cheers m8.
Looks great, but regardless of humidity levels where you live it's always a good idea to go with a slatted surface rather than a single sheet with no breathing room for your mattress.
The mask are amazing, i own one for projects. super great. Bought one for my parents that are bright colors so they are easy to find, super nice and very comfortable.
Had no idea you were in a new shop! I think you mentioned before the barn door vid that you had moved but I couldn't tell if that meant a new shop space, etc or just a new apartment or whatever. Well awesome - looking forward to the tour and as always, love the vids you put out!
Would love to see a better more detailed article with dimensions for the different bed sizes!!! 😊😊😄 I want to do this for my new FULL bed but I will have to remeasure and recalculate the dimensions from your article when it arrives to fit properly.
Great vid! I wished you lived in my city so I could get you to build this for 2 beds. I love custom builds! The only thing I would add to this would be a 2in. platform riser to raise it up just a little.
Modern Builds yea thatll look sweet at the end of the bed with some black hardware and hinges👍and im definitely gonna look into that stain color for my next cabinet project..has that rustic charm i love
I am glad you worked some more (than planned) on the structural aspect of the bed. But I see one possible flaw: the wood underneath as its joined pure wood on wood in the squares. I assume that using the bed (e.g. sleep in it or moving on/off it) will cause some wood squeals over time, also leading to abrasion of the wood. Perhaps there is a plastic component that could be added? A slide-in piece that joins the wood without to let it touch one another? I consider that (plus nails or glue) to be a cheap solution to an otherwise raising problem. But, I could be mistaken. Anyone expert on the topic?
What would you suggest on this build, on how to not make the beds move; if we were to do two of these but having it side by side so it creates a giant bed?
Awesome project mate. Been thinking of building one of these beds only this week and you've given me heaps of ideas now. Thanks Mike, you're awesome. Keep them coming. :-)
Mike, would it be just as easy to upholster the headboard with human skin?
just asking for a friend
Paxton Smith
Take a look at my foreskin
It's the only skin I got
Not much of a foreskin
I never seem to get a lot
Ba, ba, da, da, da, ba
Paxton, if you get a little bit of foreskin from Buckey The Dog you can add it to a container of Lacquer Thinner for a few days and it will stretch out over the entire headboard. I'm not speaking from experience...this is just what a friend told me.
suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure. :)
Asking for a friend...... haha

And how do you expect me an amateur DIY Weekend warrior to sleep at 1am when I have just found your channel
Words
I'm obsessed with the way you talk. I don't understand half of it but it's soothing AF.
Haha! thanks..
Love it. The way you tackled the drawer is a great touch. Simple yet brilliant.
That's a lot!! That's cool to hear
My dad has taught me how to build and I think it is a useful skill to have. I might end up making this because it dose look pretty simple.
I’m afraid of attempting to make drawers so casters is what I always wanted to do. You have me the push to go for it!
Thank you. I showed my husband and he will make me two for me. Our room and the guest room. Bless you.
I'd think its been a great year for that mask company
I love this one. Easily my favorite bed of yours. You could have also glued carpet scraps to the bottom of the draws to get them to slide
Plan on making a bed soon and I think i like this design the best. That headboard is boss too
And I'm too lazy to even make my bed lol
I want a fullsize bed with sceatcompmartment that i could hide pants and shirts my little brotbet2always usedingmy stuff. I got a parytime job so i can't play r

Joseph Arning lolllll we feel yuh
I like the idea of castors. Lining up drawer hardware is a pain the butt. Your way looks easier. I like those RZ masks !!
Especially when the plywood had as much bend in it as mine did. Yeah, the RZ Masks are awesome
Dude - pretty much obsessed with how cool this bed it. May have to make one for my brother. Sweet project!
Go for it!! But you'll put a cool spin on it I know!
Could you please make a similar bed (with storage) but in the size of a double bed? Or could you possible put up the measurements for this bed but in the size of a double bed? Thanks, love your work.
How is it holding up? Any creeks, squeaks or anything coming apart? Repairs?
I am wondering the same thing, please reply! How does this handle "regular movement?"
He needs to apply padding on it. Lol
With storage very nice to keep things and purposeful
I think your egg table is looking even better than it did in the video where you made it. you might not know everything about wood working but you are making really good stuff, and not just talking about it. nice bed dude
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it!!
I think your idea is excellent. I love it.
I'd love to make a sofa/day bed with storage like this! I loved your other diy mid-century sofa/day bed, but my roommate only likes furniture that sits flat on the floor because she has a few small animals.
Love the storage idea because I have a small room, but I also have carpet + a rug, so the wheels wouldn't be such a good option
Thank you!! The casters would still work on a rug, so long as it's not super "shaggy"
Yet another great build..
Glue gun is good tip for fronts it just could be problem with delicate projects it could make gaps between fronts and actual drawer.I recommend you to use "mitre fast" glue you just apply fev drops and spray activator.
Nice work
Yeah, for more precise projects it'd probably be good, but for projects like this it's awesome
👍🏻👍🏻 yes, the castors drawers was very smart ! 👍🏻👍🏻

Damn Daniel!! Back at it again....with a stellar build!!
Haha!! Thanks Cristine 😂
Really love the look of this mike! I love your style, really looks great
Thanks a lot Kyle!
Thank you for this video. I'm planning to make our own just like this one, but king size and this shelves headboard. Let's see how it comes out,; I'm not experienced.

Instead of batting, you can use carpet pad (in as many layers as you want) to get a thicker, softer cushion.
I'm 4 years late just because I was not old i enough to do all this but know I just wanna say thx for this great video
Hey man I’m a junior at my high school and I really liked what you do you inspired me to create things and i just wanted to know what did you had to do to get to this level like what career or sum that you did to learn this. You the bomb man keep doing what you doing
Maybe add small triangle-slats to the sides of the drawers, that way they'll somewhat self-align as you roll them back in place.
That's a cool idea
Ahh caught ya showing off your southpaw hand. lol. It's always good to see another lefty on youtube. I do a little wood working left handed but all of my stringed instruments are lefty so guitar, violin, and banjo. Cheers m8.

the dopple ganger effect was so cool and unexpected ... props to the editor... super dope
That turned out great !
I really liked the bed. I also apriciate that you only endorse products that you would use yourself, way to go :)
No doubt! I don't want to be a "sellout" haha!!
Great build. How about a computer desk and chair for a future project vid?
Coming very soon!
Turned out perfect!! Well done!!!
I appreciate it
Nice bed. It looks like a rustic stile.
That mask also makes you look like the Winter Soldier so that's definitely a plus
I know right haha!
You should put some cut in half tennis balls on the back of the drawers so they don't bump the bed frame.
That's a really good idea!
Looks great with your table
Thanks a lot brother!
Sweet build!
That mask is cool too and seems super useful for any project in a confined space. when can we get a simple shop tour from you?
No doubt! It is. I'm planning on doing one once I get the new shop all set up in the next week or two
The mask are amazing, i own one for projects. super great. Bought one for my parents that are bright colors so they are easy to find, super nice and very comfortable.

I think I'm sold on it - going to get one today!

I love the casters! Great idea
Thanks Nick
I love your videos! I would really love to see you build a loft bed for adults.
Hmmm, check out Laura Kampf. She did a loft bed not too long ago
Thanks!
you are killin it!! loving your channel, big fan frond south America
Thanks a lot man! I appreciate it
great builds... looks just as expensive as the expensive ones... may i ask what was the total cost to build this?
Oh yeah! I'll give it a go thanks a lot mate
Right on! Let me know how it goes!
I'm hooked on this channel. Thanks.
Very good! Great job!
Love the look of this. 💜 the idea of casters for the drawers 👍🏼😃
Awesome!! Thanks!
Oh. That new branding/music. NOICE!
Thanks!! that's awesome to hear
Looks Awesome I can't wait to make one
A bed project not sponsored by Casper? woah... JK! good job on this Mike! You make it look easy, as usual!
Haha! Thanks brother
Did this 60 some years ago for my waterbed support
Nice idea, thanks for sharing!
Super cool!!!!!!
Great vid! I wished you lived in my city so I could get you to build this for 2 beds. I love custom builds! The only thing I would add to this would be a 2in. platform riser to raise it up just a little.
good stuff mike! now ya need to build a blanket chest to go with the bed and table...?? really like that color on the plywood 🖒🍻👍
Ooh, that's not a bad idea! Yeah, it's not really that dark of a walnut like it says it is, but I like it a lot
Modern Builds yea thatll look sweet at the end of the bed with some black hardware and hinges👍and im definitely gonna look into that stain color for my next cabinet project..has that rustic charm i love
this is my favorite build so far, definitely going to try this in the future
That's so awesome! Thanks a lot

glad you raised this because I'm planning to use this build for our bed...but I will go crazy if I hear wood squeals
Great project
What would you suggest on this build, on how to not make the beds move; if we were to do two of these but having it side by side so it creates a giant bed?
Great project Mike. I''m looking to build a bed for an extra bedroom.
Perfect timing!! Thanks a lot
Really informative and inspiring! Good job!
I highly recommend you do a video of how to make a storage headboard PLEASE!! 💕
Awesome project mate. Been thinking of building one of these beds only this week and you've given me heaps of ideas now. Thanks Mike, you're awesome. Keep them coming. :-)
That's awesome. Glad I could help
Really beautiful. Love the headboard.
Doh! I just bought an RZ mask on Orval's recommendation. I love it so far. Awesome bed! I agree that the glue ups do not need any dowels.
Right on! They're great!
Holy crap this was a very impressive video. Thank you
Thanks a lot Josh!
Mike, we would love to see a video on DIY murphy bed. Please consider it for yiur future project.
looks great and i love that table u made last week pretty badass
Thanks!!
Love the bed and the headboard, awesome job!
Thanks a lot!!
Again an awesome build Mike! And again greetingzz from Holland! GO mike!
Thanks a lot!! much appreciated
Nice design and video.
I'm a little annoyed that you made things look so easy, with not so fancy tools. :P
Love the build of this bed man!!!
Thanks a lot!!
Nice work.
And that mattress looks a wee bit thin, doesn't it?
haha I loved the edit when you "turned the volume down" to talk about the sponsor part of the video!! Very creative!! :)
Right on! Thanks a lot
Its been 2 years how well has it held up?
That came out awesome! I can't wait to mess up trying to replicate it 😁🐒
I enjoy to see how you grow with time. Keep up the good work
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it
hey mark great build just what i was looking for. love the idea for the casters instead of drawer slides
real DIY buildin projects are such a privilege bc this looks all fun and dandy to do until you realize you don't have even one of those tools
Just ordered a mask. Thanks for the Promo.
That's awesome, I hope you dig it!!
I like the French cleat setup on the headboard! That lets you slide it horizontally on the wall too, right? Makes placement a lot easier.
Exactly, that way I could get it perfectly centered. Thanks Bruce
Thanks for doing this. I started designing something like this but I kinda got stuck. This gave me loads of ideas. Thanks again.
That's awesome!! Glad I could help
That is really nice 👍🏻 You are very clever.....
Thanks man!
awesome bed! nice work
Thanks andrew!
Looks great. Loved teasers you posted about this on your Instagram.
That's awesome!! I'll be sure to do that more
Great work dude
Thanks a lot man
Amazing job!
