God you have no idea how lucky you are!! It really sucks a lot for me because I was 14 only when he passed, and it's always been my biggest wish to meet him at least once! I've loved him since I was a child and I wish I was born sooner, like in the 70s or 80s, just so that I could have been there when he was in his prime years lol. It makes me sad to think that now I won't ever get to meet him :(

Do you think meeting him has helped you accept his passing? I still feel devastated and it's been nearly 8 years. Maybe because I know his soul but never experienced it. I wish so badly that I'd made effort to meet him. But I wasn't allowed to go to concerts in high school and he was done touring once I got out. BUT...I lived in Santa Barbara and LA and this is one of my biggest regrets...not trying to meet him, I guess I never wanted to bother him and knowing he was here was comforting but now my heart hurts still...I don't know wha I'm looking for from you. Hello Rachel, I appreciate my meetings more, but i don't think they have helped me with his passing. I am crushed, still. My heart has a permanent ache for Michael. I also find myself with regrets (that feeling sucks) and Ifeel a sense of responsibility at times (that feeling sucks more) I feel like i should have done more in those final days, especially with being around him, it's hard not to imagine that you could have made a difference, and that difference being between life & death - oh the pain of it. :-(((((

Finding this video has made my day. I really needed this. It feels like finding hidden treasure. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, it feels personal and means so much because you are genuine. Michael touched the hearts of people all over the world, but there are some fans who are set apart in their connection to him spiritually. There are few people I’ve come across that have that deep connection with him in a way that many don’t understand, and Lidi you are one of them. I’m struggling to even find the words to express how much this means to me. Michael’s death has devastated me and I still struggle to cope and grieve it. Part of that pain is because I never got to meet him and thank him or adore him the way I yearn to. This video has helped me with the grieving process and the loss because there’s something about you that reminds me of myself and what I’ve longed to express to Michael all these years. You were able to express to him the pure love that so many of us wanted him to feel, especially considering he didn’t have people to trust, he was ridiculed and bullied, and people often saw him as a commodity. But knowing you had this experience with him helps me to know that he did have the reassurance of how deeply we loved him, for him and not as a star. When I was 3 years old my mother and I went and sat outside the venue he played at in Melbourne, Australia in 1996. We were too poor to buy tickets and my mother had bandages all over her face and a medical face mask after major surgery she was still recovering from. I was obsessed with Michael and was dressed up like him, as I usually did on a daily basis. Long story short we just wanted to be near him even though we couldn’t go inside. But 2 young women were walking around the grounds and spoke to us. My mother had a long conversation with them about how much we adore Michael, about her surgery, etc. They said it was their job to find people who were less fortunate and give them tickets to the show. Michael secretly allocated tickets for this purpose. They escorted us to the VIP and we watched the performance. It is one of the highlights of my life. They gave my mother their contact information to keep in touch, but unfortunately my mother lost the phone number for them. Circumstances weren’t good at home, my father battled cancer, my mother got pregnant with her 4th child and we entered into homelessness. We never got to meet Michael and thank him. I always dreamed that one day I’d meet him and tell him the story that it was my life he’d changed that night, that because of his generosity and him as a person that I pursued music, art, charity, etc. I looked forward to that moment my whole life, I knew it would be a tearful, heartfelt and joyful moment for us both. I was so young at the time I don’t remember the fine details of that night in 1996, but my mother has dictated it all to me and made me promise I will contact his children one day and tell them about his secret charity towards underprivileged fans. Hearing your story Lidi has given me some closure, even though losing Michael will always been a tremendous point of pain. Thank you again. And thank you to others who showed Michael the love he deserved. I hope more people share their personal stories amongst other fans. Love xx

I wish so badly that I'd made effort to meet him. But I wasn't allowed to go to concerts in high school and he was done touring once I got out. BUT...I lived in Santa Barbara and LA and this is one of my biggest regrets...not trying to meet him, I guess I never wanted to bother him and knowing he was here was comforting but now my heart hurts still...I don't know wha I'm looking for from you. Lol. I just miss him...
Hello Rachel, I appreciate my meetings more, but i don't think they have helped me with his passing. I am crushed, still. My heart has a permanent ache for Michael. I also find myself with regrets (that feeling sucks) and Ifeel a sense of responsibility at times (that feeling sucks more) I feel like i should have done more in those final days, especially with being around him, it's hard not to imagine that you could have made a difference, and that difference being between life & death - oh the pain of it. :-(((((

I was so messed up from my own childhood I don't think I knew which way was up for most of my life. What do you wish you would have done? I mean, would you have really been able to bring up the drugs or anything? IS it weird - I want to meet you haha! I like you. I don't have anyone in my life who is an MJ fan, it sucks...I talk peoples ears off and they indulge me but they don't know how to really talk about him. Finding this video has made my day. I really needed this. It feels like finding hidden treasure. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, it feels personal and means so much because you are genuine. Michael touched the hearts of people all over the world, but there are some fans who are set apart in their connection to him spiritually. There are few people I’ve come across that have that deep connection with him in a way that many don’t understand, and Lidi you are one of them. I’m struggling to even find the words to express how much this means to me.
Michael’s death has devastated me and I still struggle to cope and grieve it. Part of that pain is because I never got to meet him and thank him or adore him the way I yearn to. This video has helped me with the grieving process and the loss because there’s something about you that reminds me of myself and what I’ve longed to express to Michael all these years. You were able to express to him the pure love that so many of us wanted him to feel, especially considering he didn’t have people to trust, he was ridiculed and bullied, and people often saw him as a commodity. But knowing you had this experience with him helps me to know that he did have the reassurance of how deeply we loved him, for him and not as a star.
When I was 3 years old my mother and I went and sat outside the venue he played at in Melbourne, Australia in 1996. We were too poor to buy tickets and my mother had bandages all over her face and a medical face mask after major surgery she was still recovering from. I was obsessed with Michael and was dressed up like him, as I usually did on a daily basis. Long story short we just wanted to be near him even though we couldn’t go inside. But 2 young women were walking around the grounds and spoke to us. My mother had a long conversation with them about how much we adore Michael, about her surgery, etc. They said it was their job to find people who were less fortunate and give them tickets to the show. Michael secretly allocated tickets for this purpose. They escorted us to the VIP and we watched the performance. It is one of the highlights of my life. They gave my mother their contact information to keep in touch, but unfortunately my mother lost the phone number for them. Circumstances weren’t good at home, my father battled cancer, my mother got pregnant with her 4th child and we entered into homelessness. We never got to meet Michael and thank him. I always dreamed that one day I’d meet him and tell him the story that it was my life he’d changed that night, that because of his generosity and him as a person that I pursued music, art, charity, etc. I looked forward to that moment my whole life, I knew it would be a tearful, heartfelt and joyful moment for us both. I was so young at the time I don’t remember the fine details of that night in 1996, but my mother has dictated it all to me and made me promise I will contact his children one day and tell them about his secret charity towards underprivileged fans.
Hearing your story Lidi has given me some closure, even though losing Michael will always been a tremendous point of pain. Thank you again. And thank you to others who showed Michael the love he deserved. I hope more people share their personal stories amongst other fans. Love xx

I truly wish all fans could have had their personal meeting with Michael. It is such a shame that you did not get to share your love with Michael one-to-one (but, what beautiful humility you have to be glad he got it via other fans- that is an incredible trait in you)

I felt like I was born in the wrong era in 1997. I'd never had a chance to see him live or anything before he passed away.
