Seeing the future is a cool thing but it is also a burden as you can't really appreciate what is happening in the present as you are in constant prediction phase. Same goes for Padparadcha. She doesn't know what's *happening* that's why her reactions are delayed
Padparadscha is actually pretty useful. She just needs to learn to harness what she has. She could probably look back in time to see who got murdered, where somebody ran off to, uncover histories biggest mysteries, ect.

A fusion between Padparadscha (Sapphire) and Rhodonite (Pearl and Ruby) would make a Sardonyx, but a fusion between Padparadscha and Sapphire would still make a Sapphire.
