The Murderer chorus is paying homage to reggae singer Barrington Levy who had a song back in 1993 with Beanie Man called Murderer. Ren sings it exactly like him and it's 🔥🔥🔥

Murderer was originally released in 1984. He later did a crossover version with beanie man and then again with Damien marley.
And he’s still going strong. Saw a couple of interviews with Barrington and Ren has a similar ethos to him 😊

Ren has Reggae influence, in his music since he was a teenager. His back catalog has some amazing songs with reggae tones. This song, “Murderer”, I hear some Bob Marley !! RENegade!!!
REN does interviews with the UA-camrs that have supported him.
There are several rappers amongst them so maybe an album of collabs with the sites that adopted REN would work?

I read yesterday that many Brits originally thought hip hop was from Jamaica. Huge Jamaican migration to GB, and the music and food went with that.
As a Brit, I can say that is not true, most Brits know it didn’t originate from Jamaica where ever you got ur info from is totally wrong!

Seeing as Hollywood really liked the Chinchilla collab, maybe you should watch How To Be Me - Live. It's another good one. I think Ren does reggae like The Police did reggae. He says he was influenced by them, and as they are mainly a UK band (drummer is from the US), they have a similar sound.

Some guy named King Dotta is calling out both Ren and Knox Hill for a battle.I've heard that Ren has responded, but ive not seen it myself.

I did, Dotta was supposedly in the studio yesterday for his track that he’s supposed to drop this week, then Ren will reply. I can’t wait!!

The cam man this time, Luke Flegg, and Ren have mentioned that this was a super complex vid, 2 days of banging into windows, halls, stairways, and Ren walkin into him. He also had the vocs over his back to sync with Ren eg the cam swing when Ren does the Rocky bit. The part that Luke wanted perfect was the impossible to explain slide in and out of car. He said he lamented not showing the empty back seat. One guy no pass offs. Incredible.

Yesss!! You guys have stumbled onto the British punk reggae fusion that was big in the UK in the 70’s. Ren had cited the Police, The Clash, and Sex Pistols as favorites. There is a video out there of big push including welcome to jam rock in one of their busking jams

I don't know if it's true but saw a post saying the 2nd guy walking down the street was not part of the production and called the cops. Apparently the response from dispatch was ...Ren's in town....lol.. I so hope that's true. I looked and didn't see a reaction to Ren's Crutch (with Bibi) If you haven't please add it to the list it's my favourite. If you have apologies. I did look I promise.

I originally thought...like yourselves...that the J20 number plate may be an "Easter Egg" of some kind...but apparently this question was raised in his live Twitch...it's just a number plate...HOWEVER...if you want to create a time line...this track was recorded before "Animal Flow"...so perhaps the guy being put in the trunk is the same guy that's chained up at the start of the "Animal Flow" video...who knows...imagination is a wonderful thing

Absolutely Ren has alot of reggae inspiration he has mentioned it in a few interviews, you should really check out his old band the big push's street performance of I shot the sheriff/Road to zion/Hip hop it is a great example of the reggae inspiration on Ren ^_^

Have you heard Ren including that Damian Marley song (Welcome to Jamrock) in a medley when he's busking with The Big Push? He nails it (obviously!). But this track is more influenced by another reggae artist Barrington Levy- specifically his track Murderer. If you listen to it you'll hear the similarities...
I beleive those is the second track where he mentions Toblerone. The Dark Chocolate Toblerone are F I R E!!!

Yes, I believe that Ren creates, produces and performs all of his material. I love Ren. To be honest I grew up in the 80's with the rock bands, the old Led Zep, Rolling Stones, Van Halen, and then Motley Crue and so many rock bands and missed the Rap. I normally don't listen to rap but now I do because of Ren! LOL.... I'm a huge fan of Ren and love everything he is doing because he is a creative genius who just wants to share and connect and achieve his dreams. More power to Ren. Another non commercial rap artist I have been aware of that is also creating, producing and performing his material is Supaman. Could you all react to him too? Specifically "Why?" and "Something". I love your reaction videos and look forward to more time with the Trash Talkers!! :)

I read somewhere that Murderer actually came before Animal Flow. They said the man in the trunk is the same guy tied up by the pig at the beginning of Animal Flow. FYI, if Ren did not make the beats he calls it a “Retake” like “Losing It”?
The accent association is the other way round, the Jamaican accent is heavily influenced by the English West Country dialect from the early days sea travel. he be doin', she be sayin' etc.

Rens writing is deep..he does it in such a way that it sounds simple but there's bars all over this. He mentioned like 6 movies and his verses tie into them, I notice he does movie bars a lot. And he is a goat for making a bar out of "the shocker" lol for those unfamiliar that's 2 in the pink and one in the stink..he said shocking right before the finger in the anus bar lol. This was dope really liked this one

Yes he's independent AF!!! Way back when, in the long long ago... he was signed by a label (Sony, I think?!) But this was during him being misdiagnosed and when they found out his medical situation, apparently was dropped from label and if u ask me it was the best thing career wise that could have happened cause industry is cut throat as he clearly says in "sick boi" and all the power to him for doing what he's doing and being exactly who HE is, not what a label would have made him be!!!
