These are good, hard-working people who need a break with some sort of assistance. A telling sign was the condition and cleanliness of the house. There is pride here. Please help them, Sergei.
Or bureaucracy they lost their documents or can't get their pension. A lot changed after Soviet Union ended, a lot of services were cut or eliminated entirely. All it takes is one person losing their health or having a bad year.
Go back a hundred years in your own country it would most likely be similar in regards alcohol abuse. I know my country was the same not even a hundred years ago and let's not forget the soviet union only dissolved in the 1991. That's like 30 odd years ago not even half a century.. usually it takes a long time for things to change and some of the russian people seem to want to cling to the old soviet ways. Well alot of older people say they had a more comfortable life during the soviet era .
Alcohol in Russia and opiates and fentanyl in the US, just different "poisons", all indicative of a societal structure that no longer works for the people.
I wish he could help people that really need it rather than those who chose not to work. Also, they are all dressed as if it were summer in this "cold house".

That is how it is in rural Russia, as you can see they have neither central heating or water in the home made shack they live in, but it's obviously then also rent free with no water or heating bills to pay. The little money they get, they spend on food, but cannot afford new clothing.

These houses rely on a central wood fired furnace that heats the whole house, mix in drunk people and poor safety measures and it's not surprising

What a wonderful family, but so tragic! In America we've a lot of poor but they're mainly homeless on the streets.
Many have apartments. But they struggle unseen in America. Especially those without family.
Hi you are helping so much in this difficult world,I'm in Liverpool UK,we think it's hard affording ordinary day to day stuff here sometimes but wow when I see how hard life is for poor people living in rural Russia it's unbelievable, thankyou for doing all that you do to help, you are a caring and good man.💙
