Vasili, have just come across you. Used to watch you on the TV years ago when I had a TV. So, am glad I found you. Please, what is your bicarb solution ratios?
Vasili could you please give details on bi carb mixture you used? I would love to hear both you and Craig together. Wow dynamite info!! Any chance you two will be coming to SA??🤞
imo nothing to do with nitrogen or pests / pathogens , the issue both those tomatoes are having is inconsistent moisture , you don't want to let soil dry out completely & you don't want the soil to be drenched constantly , you want the middle of the road of constant dampness which requires more frequent small amounts of water , you don't want to see runoff by flushing soil with a hose , larger volumes of soil ( much bigger pots or use beds ) will help moisture be more consistent , using drip irrigation like a blumat system which lets the plant drive & determine when it needs water would be a much better choice than hand watering , a plants complete health is driven by moisture , get that right & nutrient dense food is in your hands
Would love to know what is causing the leaf curl too, the ones that self seeded don't have it but the store bought ones do and all grown in same soil but all in their own individual tubs... Go figure 🙄

I find that tomatoes in grow bags do better when sitting in a large tray enabling them to hold water better and to be watered from the bottom. Cheers.
