When I saw the last set of cards, my immediate response was find a new job/different department, tender your resignation letter/request to be transferred to a different position or distant department, and have better renumeration/benefits. Or I could be over reading the cards. :)

I have been learning lots from your tutorials. Thank you for all your work. There is only one thing I would change: Turning off the music. Although it is a nice music, it competes with your voice (beautiful voice by the way) and makes it hard to listen to you. English is not my native language, so I need to pay attention to each of your words.
My earlier tutorials contained music. Then I turned it off for the content later videos and only used intro and exit music, but nothing in between. Unfortunately, I cannot edit it out of my first tutorials. Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

i love your videos! they have been so helpful in learning the Lenormand, so thank you very much i appreciate you taking the time and sharing your wisdom. the only thing i guess i would suggest is to lower the music volume a bit, it becomes hard to hear and follow your lesson without becoming distracted by it sometimes. other than that they are awesome!
This is a really informative video. I have never seen these cards before and have always used tarot. These cards seem very to the point in their messages and your ability to read them is great. I just wish the music volume was turned down a bit as I struggle to hear what you are saying. I have some hearing loss so it probably doesn't bother anyone else.

Great suggestion! This is one I did. You can also do it with different spreads, such as 3 cards or the double line of 3. I can make a bogey on those (those are what I use most today). Love your videos. When I give answers to yes or no questions I pull 3 cards read the situation with the first 2 cards the answer would to be the 3rd card. But I also look at the card at the bottom of the deck this confirms it especially if the 3rd card is not very clear.

I really enjoyed this tutorial and tried to answer the questions from glimpsing the cards as you suggested and my answers were as follows: 1.yes 2. No 3. No/maybe (could become possible) 4. Yes/maybe (is possible) 5. Yes 6.(i wasn't sure*) 7. Yes 8. Yes 9. No (unlikely to stay) 10. (still open possibility) 11. No 12. No 13. Not perticulary. The details of your further explanation were pretty in line with my thoughts. *What striked me the most is not being sure about 6. then proceeding to hear about your exact description of a dog I'm deciding to adopt- she's exactly wild, always on the go, not easily disciplined, has survivor kind of past that makes her bitchy and impulsive, and i said to myself "she's not a lap dog for sure" and you mentioned that same thing! So i was pondering could i take the task of her since now I'm slow paced kind of person, but still find her adorable cuz her energy reminds me of my childhood self. Not good enough reason, she'd need someone quite active to be well. So, I see there could be more challenges with her, and maybe that's why I wasn't sure about the answer from glimpsing the cards, since it's exactly my situation, 7 years after you posted! I was following along pulling cards from my deck with your questions and for the "Is he loyal to me?" questions I got a confusing reading. I pulled snake + clover + dog. I'm interpreting this as perhaps he was thinking of cheating or was tempted to do so but the clover lessens this (i'm assuming correct?) meaning perhaps he decided not to? The dog can represent a loyalty so that being the answer I would say yes he is. However the snake being in there confused me. How would you interpret that?

I put the 3 cards together all the time for a reason or explanation. The meaning depends on the context of your question. There must be a direct contextual link between them.
Hi, I would like to ask a question for a yes o reading that I had done by a beginner reader. I asked would we get married and the cards he pulled were : heart, stork , dog. I am curious to what this means as the outcome? Loyal friend?

Good question....I am not aware of any one site with them all listed. I've seen sites with many antique ones, and have been watching many new decks come out over the past year. But I'm not aware yet of one site with just Lenormand decks.

Hi Donnaleigh! I'm a tarot reader who is now learning Lenormand. I was playing along with these readings - pausing before your interpretation. With the adoption of the dog, my interpretation of the ship and rider was that he may cramp their style in terms of travel - they may be people who travel a lot and haven't really thought about how owning a dog could change their life in that way. I saw the clouds as their difficulties in adjusting to life with a dog. Would that be a possible translation or am I reading like a tarot reader? ;)

LINA b You can do whatever you like. I like to display decks in videos for variety, but I have 1 or 2 decks I like to use most because they are easier to read. What's important is that you have good reading decks that are functional.
Is this really more a 'make it up as you go along' sort of device? I've found that where any question existing is overpowered by a 'feeling' the feeling expresses itself in what emerges. I'm flummoxed by it all.
what if you ask the lenormand cards the age of the person/interest (not literally in terms of love but just any kind of person). Is this question similar to their physical features and personality as well? Because I was asked by a friend this "Will I marry a man who is younger than me or older than me?" and that really caught me off guard!

It would mean either something not good or a place of wisdom/sexuality. The stork is a good card and also the Lillie’s. But Lillie’s and snake together can mean sexual matters. Whether that’s healthy or unhealthy is not clear. It really depends on your relationship to the snake card in your deck. And your relationship to that sexuality. What do you feel when you see the snake card. That’s your answer.
Also, your question is not very clearly worded. “Should I move” doesn’t ask clearly. It has to be more precise. “If I move to this other country will I be happy?” Because why the Lenormand tells you that you should move may not be related to what you’re asking. With this spread the Lenormand could be telling you that you should move because there’s a snaky woman in your environment right now. As an example. So be precise in what you ask or you can’t possibly get a precise answer. 🍀
Hi Donnaleigh, I can't seem to get yes/no questions to work, I always get the wrong result to the yes/no question. This has been with Tarot too...for a long time. I follow the Lenormand way of doing this...but no go. For example, our home team played another team today (football), so I asked it our home team would win. I got the Book, Ship, RIder, Anchor, Bear. One positive card (two depending on the system), rest neutral = Yes. They lost 10 to 26. Would you have any advice for me on how to get this correct? My readings (Lenormand and Tarot) for none yes/no questions are accurate. I wanted to learn Lenormand specifically to get the yes/no question correct. Any help appreciated!
Wes Wes, this may seem like a strange question... but which Lenirmand deck are you using? when i get a deck, i always do an energy check on it first to make sure it works for me. sometimes the first few readings are off, and then it is good and i stick only with the ones that jive with me. Calibrate it to you to make sure it works with you.... Ask questions you KNOW the answer to to be sure it is ready to work with you. decks contain different energies. i carry with me the ones i love. I'll do a video on this.
Not strange at all. I modify the decks I work with so they are totally to my liking visually and feel wise. The deck I use for Lenormand is the Celtic one (some images changed to my liking and colours made more vibrant), the deck reprinted and laminated. I also did this for my Tarot deck - Druidcraft. They work for me except for yes/no questions. I did check them with questions I 'know' the answer to, and they still give me the wrong answers. I'm at a loss at this point on how to change this. Sometimes I 'just' want a yes/no answer to something and sometimes my wife just wants a yes or no to a question, but i still get incorrect answers when I read. I wish I could give her (and myself) the correct answer, sigh.
With the Sun/Tree/Snake answer to the question “Will I like the job change?” I thought more about yes, it will be good/you’ll be able to focus more on your wellbeing because it will give you more flexibility, maybe regarding time, or place, or you’ll be able to put more of your creativity in it, and be less monitored by your boss!
Yes, you'll like it (sun) for a long time (tree), or will stay for a long time (tree), but they will be something or someone problematic (snake) to affect how you feel about it. The sun is always good, but that snake is a caveat to watch for, as that is negative cards that will assist affect how your feel about being there. That's kind of like loving your actual job but having a terrible coworker to deal with.

There are so many neutral cards. But with the last card..it's like it's saying, "have patience...give it more time and it will develop. When I get that Lily card, it's like...maybe not in the time frame you set up (a year), but hang on.... it's coming.
Great question. Those are neutral cards with no value to yes/no. So they don't answer the question at the end. See my videos on positive, negative and neutral cards for clarification on that. It's super important. Especially for yes/no questions. I'll see if I can find a link.

Not very often, Lorraine. I have them and have worked with them, but I'm not adept with them and haven't been happy with the test readings they gave me so I put them aside for now. Sorry I could not be of more help with that.
Hey Donna!, If I ask will I have kids with this person, and the cards are 12-34-17 I suppose the answer would be yes, but, can I say from that that it'll be 2 kids with someone rich, or its just plain yes, I mean, the question is Can I say more than just yes?, I took 3 more cards and made a double line of 3 and the spread looked like this 12(5)-34(24)-17(3) that would be yes, you will have kids with this person (2-3 kids, maybe twins and one more), this person will have money and you will have them with someone that is not from your own country or you will move in with this person or travel. A good interpretation for stork and ship would be a huge change? :-) Tx. XOXO.
Using only the first (top) 3 cards of Birds-Fish-Stork: this can suggest discussions (birds) about fertility (fish/sperm) to move forward/promote the action (stork). These are all neutral cards, and while the stork suggests positive advancement, the previous two cards can suggest the starting point. Birds can also be nervousness about having enough and then moving forward with something through the stork. So while this is not a clear yes/no, it suggests it can happen with some sort of discussion or action. This is more of a "maybe." Twins would be more of a Path in the first card. If we add the double line of 3 cards you got at the bottom, the Tree suggests that the discussion is family or health related. The fish and heart can be the sperm of a loved one, or working toward something you want (passion) with some sort of payment (fish). Both the Stork and the Ship are movement, but they both are steered by the cards before them...action seems indicated for movement, and the action is explained by the first 2 pairs in the double line of 3. I hope this makes sense and helps to clarify?

Still trying to understand how you mean to change the question. You are basically saying that our emotions have an effect on a clearer result with the lenormand and the ask yes or no questions with more of an emotional tone of what we want? Also when you are pulling clarifying cards, should you pull them in the same pair or triad or just just which card you want clarifying? It seems when I pull a pair sometimes and then pull another pair for clarification than I can get more confused because the second pull seems much different from the first.
No. That's not what I'm trying to say at all. The yes cards are positive cards & the no cards are negative cards. That is how you know if the answer is yes or no. However, if you ask a question where a negative card might indicate a yes, it would confuse the reader whether it means yes or no. For example, if you ask about quitting. .. then if you get the coffin card, that would suggest no, don't do it. It also indicates the ending of something. Which would suggest yes, do it. So how would you know if it needs to end it or to quit? Keeping the question clean so that it ends up where positive cards would indicate a yes and the negative cards would indicate a no will keep the readings much clearer.
So it has nothing to do with the emotional tone or the emotional influence. It has to do with just being able to understand whether the cards are saying yes or no.

@@cryptocat771 you want to ask questions in a positive way, so that you know if the cards are saying yes with good cards and no with bad cards. "Is he faithful" if you get good cards you know that means he is. If you ask instead "is he cheating on me" and you get good cards, how do you know if that means YES or no he is good? Answer -- you dont. Speak in a way so that the cards can speak to you in a way that is understandable. 😊
about the "\marriage" question: Mice usually are negative, but with only the question if they will marry, the first thing that came to mind was that the questioner "stole" the "lady's" "heart"... Since lenormand is really direct, that would be my first response ... Would that be a wrong way to read these cards? After all, it is quite literally reading them as pictograms... (I know, the feeling at the moment could make a difference.... but since there is nu real questioner and I can't feel anything here....)
Ronald Delvax that's such a great question, Ronald. While some euphamisms are seen bluntly in the cards, we have to remember that the cards are, one after another, subsequently bringing each other up or down by a positive or negative nature. The Mice is negative and takes away, brings down, makes less. So if the euphamism matches the meaning and not just the word/idiom, then yes, by all means. In this case, the reader would have to make a judgment if the idiom matches the meaning of the cards (moreso than the literal words). That said... once you learn and have experience and you *still* see that... AND if it agrees with surrounding cards (larger spreads have a lot of redundancy)... then go for it. Practice helps us find those redundancies. Great question that merits some practice with different idioms... do they mean what they actually say? Love this question.
Ronald Delvax and to clarify, personally i see Mice as reducing the heart, so it makes love less, so the idiom words and the actual card meanings conflict. To me, the two would mean the opposite. To steal her heart, in the cards I'd look for a card that amplified her heart, like the sun. Heart + mice to me is more like a deterioration of love. Hope this helps clarify. Again, amazing question. I was following along pulling cards from my deck with your questions and for the "Is he loyal to me?" questions I got a confusing reading. I pulled snake + clover + dog. I'm interpreting this as perhaps he was thinking of cheating or was tempted to do so but the clover lessens this (i'm assuming correct?) meaning perhaps he decided not to? The dog can represent a loyalty so that being the answer I would say yes he is. However the snake being in there confused me. How would you interpret that?

I put the 3 cards together all the time for a reason or explanation. The meaning depends on the context of your question. There must be a direct contextual link between them.

Hi Donnaleigh! I'm a tarot reader who is now learning Lenormand. I was playing along with these readings - pausing before your interpretation. With the adoption of the dog, my interpretation of the ship and rider was that he may cramp their style in terms of travel - they may be people who travel a lot and haven't really thought about how owning a dog could change their life in that way. I saw the clouds as their difficulties in adjusting to life with a dog. Would that be a possible translation or am I reading like a tarot reader? ;)

LINA b You can do whatever you like. I like to display decks in videos for variety, but I have 1 or 2 decks I like to use most because they are easier to read. What's important is that you have good reading decks that are functional.

Is this question similar to their physical features and personality as well? It would mean either something not good or a place of wisdom/sexuality. The stork is a good card and also the Lillie’s. But Lillie’s and snake together can mean sexual matters. Whether that’s healthy or unhealthy is not clear. It really depends on your relationship to the snake card in your deck. And your relationship to that sexuality.
What do you feel when you see the snake card. That’s your answer.
Also, your question is not very clearly worded. “Should I move” doesn’t ask clearly. It has to be more precise. “If I move to this other country will I be happy?”
Because why the Lenormand tells you that you should move may not be related to what you’re asking. With this spread the Lenormand could be telling you that you should move because there’s a snaky woman in your environment right now. As an example. So be precise in what you ask or you can’t possibly get a precise answer. 🍀
Hi Donnaleigh, I can't seem to get yes/no questions to work, I always get the wrong result to the yes/no question. This has been with Tarot too...for a long time. I follow the Lenormand way of doing this...but no go. For example, our home team played another team today (football), so I asked it our home team would win. I got the Book, Ship, RIder, Anchor, Bear. One positive card (two depending on the system), rest neutral = Yes. They lost 10 to 26. Would you have any advice for me on how to get this correct? My readings (Lenormand and Tarot) for none yes/no questions are accurate. I wanted to learn Lenormand specifically to get the yes/no question correct. Any help appreciated!
Wes Wes, this may seem like a strange question... but which Lenirmand deck are you using? when i get a deck, i always do an energy check on it first to make sure it works for me. sometimes the first few readings are off, and then it is good and i stick only with the ones that jive with me. Calibrate it to you to make sure it works with you.... Ask questions you KNOW the answer to to be sure it is ready to work with you. decks contain different energies. i carry with me the ones i love. I'll do a video on this.
Not strange at all. I modify the decks I work with so they are totally to my liking visually and feel wise. The deck I use for Lenormand is the Celtic one (some images changed to my liking and colours made more vibrant), the deck reprinted and laminated. I also did this for my Tarot deck - Druidcraft. They work for me except for yes/no questions. I did check them with questions I 'know' the answer to, and they still give me the wrong answers. I'm at a loss at this point on how to change this. Sometimes I 'just' want a yes/no answer to something and sometimes my wife just wants a yes or no to a question, but i still get incorrect answers when I read. I wish I could give her (and myself) the correct answer, sigh.

With the Sun/Tree/Snake answer to the question “Will I like the job change?” I thought more about yes, it will be good/you’ll be able to focus more on your wellbeing because it will give you more flexibility, maybe regarding time, or place, or you’ll be able to put more of your creativity in it, and be less monitored by your boss!
Yes, you'll like it (sun) for a long time (tree), or will stay for a long time (tree), but they will be something or someone problematic (snake) to affect how you feel about it. The sun is always good, but that snake is a caveat to watch for, as that is negative cards that will assist affect how your feel about being there. That's kind of like loving your actual job but having a terrible coworker to deal with.
Hello. :) I am hoping you will be able to help me please. I asked a question. 'Will my soulmate/love partner' and I meet this year. The first card is the tower, the second it the gentleman, the third is also the gentleman. I pulled another for clarification - lilies. I say yes, I will meet someone this year? There are so many neutral cards. But with the last card..it's like it's saying, "have patience...give it more time and it will develop. When I get that Lily card, it's like...maybe not in the time frame you set up (a year), but hang on.... it's coming.
P.S. Tower is also traditionally a card that indicated the passage of time. Google the Phillipe Lenormand Document.

Great question. Those are neutral cards with no value to yes/no. So they don't answer the question at the end. See my videos on positive, negative and neutral cards for clarification on that. It's super important. Especially for yes/no questions. I'll see if I can find a link.

Not very often, Lorraine. I have them and have worked with them, but I'm not adept with them and haven't been happy with the test readings they gave me so I put them aside for now. Sorry I could not be of more help with that.

Hey Donna!, If I ask will I have kids with this person, and the cards are 12-34-17 I suppose the answer would be yes, but, can I say from that that it'll be 2 kids with someone rich, or its just plain yes, I mean, the question is Can I say more than just yes?, I took 3 more cards and made a double line of 3 and the spread looked like this 12(5)-34(24)-17(3) that would be yes, you will have kids with this person (2-3 kids, maybe twins and one more), this person will have money and you will have them with someone that is not from your own country or you will move in with this person or travel. A good interpretation for stork and ship would be a huge change? :-) Tx. XOXO.
Using only the first (top) 3 cards of Birds-Fish-Stork: this can suggest discussions (birds) about fertility (fish/sperm) to move forward/promote the action (stork). These are all neutral cards, and while the stork suggests positive advancement, the previous two cards can suggest the starting point. Birds can also be nervousness about having enough and then moving forward with something through the stork. So while this is not a clear yes/no, it suggests it can happen with some sort of discussion or action. This is more of a "maybe." Twins would be more of a Path in the first card.
If we add the double line of 3 cards you got at the bottom, the Tree suggests that the discussion is family or health related. The fish and heart can be the sperm of a loved one, or working toward something you want (passion) with some sort of payment (fish). Both the Stork and the Ship are movement, but they both are steered by the cards before them...action seems indicated for movement, and the action is explained by the first 2 pairs in the double line of 3. I hope this makes sense and helps to clarify?

Do we use one card of 3 cards for yes/no question?
Still trying to understand how you mean to change the question. You are basically saying that our emotions have an effect on a clearer result with the lenormand and the ask yes or no questions with more of an emotional tone of what we want? Also when you are pulling clarifying cards, should you pull them in the same pair or triad or just just which card you want clarifying? It seems when I pull a pair sometimes and then pull another pair for clarification than I can get more confused because the second pull seems much different from the first.
No. That's not what I'm trying to say at all. The yes cards are positive cards & the no cards are negative cards. That is how you know if the answer is yes or no. However, if you ask a question where a negative card might indicate a yes, it would confuse the reader whether it means yes or no. For example, if you ask about quitting. .. then if you get the coffin card, that would suggest no, don't do it. It also indicates the ending of something. Which would suggest yes, do it. So how would you know if it needs to end it or to quit? Keeping the question clean so that it ends up where positive cards would indicate a yes and the negative cards would indicate a no will keep the readings much clearer.
So it has nothing to do with the emotional tone or the emotional influence. It has to do with just being able to understand whether the cards are saying yes or no.

@@cryptocat771 you want to ask questions in a positive way, so that you know if the cards are saying yes with good cards and no with bad cards. "Is he faithful" if you get good cards you know that means he is. If you ask instead "is he cheating on me" and you get good cards, how do you know if that means YES or no he is good? Answer -- you dont. Speak in a way so that the cards can speak to you in a way that is understandable. 😊
about the "\marriage" question: Mice usually are negative, but with only the question if they will marry, the first thing that came to mind was that the questioner "stole" the "lady's" "heart"... Since lenormand is really direct, that would be my first response ... Would that be a wrong way to read these cards? After all, it is quite literally reading them as pictograms... (I know, the feeling at the moment could make a difference.... but since there is nu real questioner and I can't feel anything here....)
Ronald Delvax that's such a great question, Ronald. While some euphamisms are seen bluntly in the cards, we have to remember that the cards are, one after another, subsequently bringing each other up or down by a positive or negative nature. The Mice is negative and takes away, brings down, makes less. So if the euphamism matches the meaning and not just the word/idiom, then yes, by all means. In this case, the reader would have to make a judgment if the idiom matches the meaning of the cards (moreso than the literal words).
That said... once you learn and have experience and you *still* see that... AND if it agrees with surrounding cards (larger spreads have a lot of redundancy)... then go for it. Practice helps us find those redundancies.
Great question that merits some practice with different idioms... do they mean what they actually say? Love this question.
Ronald Delvax and to clarify, personally i see Mice as reducing the heart, so it makes love less, so the idiom words and the actual card meanings conflict. To me, the two would mean the opposite. To steal her heart, in the cards I'd look for a card that amplified her heart, like the sun.
Heart + mice to me is more like a deterioration of love.

Very helpful and informative video. However, the volume of the music was competing with your voice making it difficult for viewers to concentrate.
