Instead of a screw and nut to attach the bracket to the shade, you could source a sleeve screw and nut, like what they use on hockey helmets to attach the screen or shield. Would be a nicer looking finish.
Like a taper on the acrylic? I think it would add a fair bit of cost to the laser cutting to get the angled cuts. More passes to do it, thought it may be worth it!

Fingerprint marks is a no go.
You wear clean nitrile gloves when doing the install to avoid them. Once they’re in the car you only need to put a finger on the edge to move.
From Ohio distance, possibly a rounding over the edge like door glass might look smoother.
