I'm serious, this is quite literally art. I was fascinated all throughout the video. The composition, BGM, outro, it's all put together so well you don't think "funny Roblox video", you think "this is art." I'm serious. This is art in it's pure essence, unhinged, unfiltered, incomprehensible and random at times. I can see the author sitting behind a computer, meticulously crafting this masterpiece without truly expecting something in return. This is art for the sake of art. It's peak of creativity and expression and I'm so very glad Roblox was able to assist the author in conjuring this absolute height of humanity.
@@archangel4597 The modern internet and the state of mass media has changed our perception of tragic events over time, effectively cheapening their relevance and emotional impact. Because it's much easier to spread information, It's likewise become easier to see tragedies through a lens of them being "normal" occurrences. I think that Ferraro juxtaposing the 9/11 terrorist attacks alongside mainstream trends such as roblox and fidgets spinners is a statement on this. 9/11 has just become another "thing", another cultural object that will eventually be forgotten, lost in the sea of the information age and forgotten by the generations born after it occurred.
@@archangel4597i think it’s displaying the hellish nature of the world and it’s “progress” after 9/11. everything is enticed by the idea of modernization and growth, yet everything is stagnant and has been for years. the plague of columbines part really stuck in my head.
What kills me is that this dude was sitting in his chair making this and prolly was like "this is like speaking to my soul about how tech has affected our daily lifes"
imagine a person who knows nothing about james ferraro seeing this
that is me rn and i fw this heavy

When I first saw this I had no clue who he was. I still have no clue who he is.
Saw a friend of mine reviewing this on letterboxd 5/5... now i understand
this perfectly captures the 2017 roblox experience and parallels it very well with the tragedy of 9/11
A roblox simulation of 9/11 with fidget spinners somehow makes so much sense
james ferraro is an actual genius wow
society
