I'm glad you make in-depth videos about Deadside, I literally had D.S on my Steam Wishlist for over a year because i'm really skeptical about games like this, and i think at first i thought it had Zombies which is why i originally added it to the wishlist but randomly i saw one of your videos pop up in my recommended, watched it, and instantly bought D.S and so far i've been having a blast with it, and i've not even touched a PvP server yet haha but when i do its definitely going to be your server! (Also I have now realized not to log off while in a zone that can be a Mission cause I literally got spawn killed by A.I's cause of this, I know i probably should put this recommendation somewhere else, but it would be nice if you logged in and you're in a mission zone, it'll teleport you just like 100m-200m away like how the Redeploys work but overall thank you guys for making such a heckin fun game that actually has fun "single player")
as a big fan of survival games and have played most of them, it was a matter of time i tried deadside but ive holding off on playing this game for 2 years since i was waiting for more updates. found your channel and immediately got the answers i wanted. finally giving it a go!
PVE/AI bases that you can raid. This would be great for a few reasons: 1. Give PVE servers more to do. 2. gives a new way to PVP for loot from a base involving explosives 3. Allows raiding to happen more often it would be cool to see player bases that have not been online for a long while become raidable. This could be achieved with a week/fortnight long timer which starts its countdown when a player logs off. It would then appear on the map as a raidable base when the timer finishes. this would help clean the map of bases allowing other players to build. I'm spit balling here. But this would give explosives more use. Also Rocket launches would be cool. :D
One thing you can do on the dev side to make raiding worth while is to allow more then 8 crates in your base at once. They fill up so fast. Especially when sharing a base
Nah, I've seen some people use mouse buttons instead of F1-4 on their hotbar, so you could consider that. Otherwise I'm not sure if anything else is useful

Love the video. I think this game has some potential. I have a good 500-600 hours in this. Personally I think the map needs rework. Not so much the map but like. Add a bunch of towns and stuff. Like full cities and stuff. And add a bunch of random shit in the game to pick up. Like tarkov for instance, the amount of random useless shit all has some use one way or another. Whether through dailies, missions, etc. I just think the game just needs a lot more cities, buildings between each other as it’s super sparse. And just more items. Armors. I would also like to see more survival aspects for sure. Simply buying food and water is boring. Being hunted by wolves or hunting deer would be cool.
As a Solo player I think the Explosives are just right. I did a loot run in a mili base yesterday on your server and got 2 Explo in one run. If you up it any more your gonna end up with rust style raiding. C4 should be extremely difficult to get Making raiding a large base hard in the sense that you need to choose your direction properly or run out of c4 before getting to loot. The way it is if the base is large enough unless the group has godly amounts of C4 they may raid for an hour and never reach stash.
If you want end game to be better, make missions that you have to pay for, that give guarenteed rewards but the hand ins for them are makred on the map and in PvP zones. You could also add missions that require you to complete several missions in a row, of a set difficulty, without dying so many times etc. You could add a bounty system, that rewards player kills, that have killed 10+ people and they get marked on the map for a brief time. There could also be an item that can't be repaired, like an RPG, that is only gotten from star missions, that is like 3 uses only etc. etc. Add NPC raids against player bases as a mission, so you have to defend your base
why is the red dot on your rds attachments so bright mine is almost transparent i cant see shit especially when i need to shoot fast i have to focus my eyes on where the dot is suppose to be. do you have to play high resolution or did you do something in the settings to fix this? i have a shit monitor btw like from 2009 led monitor maybe thats where the problem is idk
This game needs some sort of quest system from Traders to get players doing something. If they don't know what to do the traders could push them towards an objective for bonus rewards. Plus players should have dog tags similar to Tarkov since it's used for fast traveling, or just selling to traders.

Aye brothers of Deadside! Loaf love your content! This game has one of the best dev teams in the genre. How long ago did the servers wipe? And how long do they take to wipe again? New ish player, played on an off finally got a decent size group to play with.
I would like to see crafting tables where you can grind ammo into gunpowder to make explosives. Then gunpowder would be great to find during a raid as well and it adds value to found ammo. I would also like to see a med station where you can craft the more high tier meds. Also nice to find during raids.. Also make it easier to gather wood. More base building, more explosives, more valuebles, more raiding/action *a second base would also be nice so you van make a FOB when planning a raid
I think making raiding more exciting and dynamic would be a good idea. Rather than "how to better farm explosives" what about ALTERNATIVES TO EXPLOSIVES? Examples: 1) codelock plus electronic and spare parts to craft a code lock hacker. - use to open base doors but takes 30-60 timer to complete. 2) 4 grenades and wire to craft an IED 3) explosives plus WATCH to craft an explosive device with a 30 second timer when placed.
as far as the explosives situation goes I actually enjoy grinding for them and the time-consuming grind makes them more rewarding to use (in my opinion). I have a loot path I run to gather batteries, walkie’s, explo, etc., and sometimes early in the morning I will play just to go on those runs. I think it is important for raiding to be tedious, the percentage to drop a token is now 20% so you drop them frequently. I would love to see the percentage go back down to 10%. I’ve dropped tokens back to back multiple times and sometimes it feels like the percentage is more like 50% rather than 20% lol. Regardless the game is in the best state it’s been in since I started playing in May of 2020 and I believe it will get even better! Just have to figure small things out on the way, the game is in good hands.
Fair point, could just be me then. Maybe it would be more worthwhile to farm explosive if raiding was more worthwhile, which is really a totally different issue entirely, that will take a while to slowly improve

@@LoafDS 100%. imagine raiding someone and stealing their car lmao that would be epic. I’ve attempted to raid multiple times and have placed the c4 on the wrong base and that can be frustrating. I like the risk/reward factor but maybe add a bearing-finder type item for raidable bases so you can find the base that is up for raid. In heavily populated areas you can easily waste 3-4+ charges just looking for the right base. That can be very discouraging for players that don’t have much c4
@@rylandeadside I see no reason not to just use the existing bearing finder for that, just make the light glow red, shift the tone of the beep and we are good to go
Noob here, but i'll tell you whats fucking boring: chopping wood! And no way to upgrade it. Either make chainsaw and put gas tanks in the game or drop 1 log each chop. That being said my base is already fully built after only 3 hrs so not really sure how i feel about this whole subject at this point.
loaf for a normal player (whos not streaming or not recording) what you say is true. if you have everything why bother raiding right ? But you gotta do it for content my guy. Why even playing the game in first place then ?? To have fun and get content.. if you do a online raid you'll get both fun&content
You right, I still plan on doing a raid video at some point, but I had to get the video done eventually so I cut off my farming to work on other things like guides and upcoming insider previews.
U could make a suicide vest npc for close quarters only that gives 1 explosives if killed. But make em quite hard to kill. Like if you shoot the vest they blow up and don't give u anything, same if they get to close. Put a heavy helmet. 🤷🏽
besides performance issues, this game has SUCH a bright future. i can 100% see this game being just as big as rust, just don’t give up
