I have been seating in the back of a Shul in the same place for more than 16 years, day and night with my Artscroll gemaras and many other sefarim in English. I though that somebody will come and teach me. But that never happen. Nevertheless I finished the Shas many times. I don't see what happen around me, I just have time for my gemaras, that I call my "children". They take care of me. R' Akiva doesn't happen to often in this generation because not to many people take the time to give a little of their time to teach a bal teshuvah or a ger like myself. But "the study of Torah is equivalent to them all" It is a great blessing that Artscroll and other similar that bring to the World of Torah. Thanks and blessing from Jerusalem

Again TY again for your explanation. It’s very refined and hope it grieves people to do more self accounting. I will continue.
Obviously we don’t have the In person interaction, but my family is great full for the purification being brought about. All I can think about is serving him and how much time I’ve wasted! “Just reading now in art scrolls jafa edition of Gateways of TEshuvah. Pg 142-143.. “Midrash Tehillim 5. “Had I not fallen, I would never have risen! And had I not sat in Darkness, I never would have experienced light. Feel like I’ve been trapped somewhat, or somewhere. .this had made making a livelyhood a distraction…. To say the least here. I’ve had hard time finding suitable work this recent year. Giving me time to learn more which I’ve been grateful.
Thank you for at least this interaction in advance.
    Hope everyone is doing well!

Shkoyach Rabbi! I use artscroll because I'm fairly new and it is a big help. However I feel that we should strive to learn at a level where we don't need to use artscroll, would you agree?

Without my Artscroll books and Rabbi Reuven, I would understand nothing! I never could understand how all these Christians have their Bible studies with their fellow church members.

I now prefer Artscroll to jps, the writing is different. Artscroll is much easier to understand.

I bought the complete 73 volumes of the Artscroll Talmud. However, it is difficult know what the Talmud is trying to teach me. Are the Hassidic Rabbis willing to teach a gentile like me?

There are different opinions but many would be happy to teach you Talmud that relates to noahides and noahide laws. See if that helps you out.

If possible, just have a normal Hebrew only Gemara and only if you are stuck on a word open the artscroll and write down the word. At the end you will probably have a page or 2 full of words that you could then review until you know them, and bam 💥 you can now use a normal Gemara

You're missing the point my dear friend. The key issue is that many are learning Gemara inappropriately and arriving at incorrect conclusions and thereby building on those incorrect conclusions. To eliminate is humongous risk, one has two choices. One, learn with a talmid chacham that will make sure you are arriving at the correct conclusion. second, learn with artscroll. By learning with artscroll one is increasing his chances at arriving at the correct "pshat" of gemara, which he is then supposed to build on. The artscroll does not give you all of the details of the Gemara, but rather the simple pshat. So of course it ideal that you learn with a talmid chacham each day. But in a Jewish world predominately comprised of ba'aley teshuva, not everyone is attending daily kollelim and yeshviot, so the only option for many is to learn with artscroll.
