- This POV episode features my two everyday carry cameras; the Ricoh GR IIIx and the Fujifilm X-Pro3. This is a compilation of some recent, everyday moments in my hometown of London. I'm often torn choosing between the two, but it's less of a problem when both are always in my camera bag.

Blooming lovely shots. I have an XT5 & GR3x and love them both. The GR still still surprises me by just how good the images are for such I small form factor. Amazing little powerhouse of a camera.
Thanks a lot. Yes, every now and then I look at its form factor in awe. That's why it's so easy to have both cameras on me at most times.
I just can't bring myself to love a camera.

I use a very simple method in terms of gear…..in summer I used Ricoh Gr and
GRx and in winter I use Xt cameras coz of gloves. In really cold condition I really need battery grip it’s why I skip the xpro cameras.
I like this logic, reducing the number of decisions. I use a 3rd party grip on the X-Pro, not sure how I'd manage without it!

Cheers! These aren't SOOC, but I used the same simulations used in-camera to do the heavy lifting in Lightroom (classic chrome for Fuji and negative film for Ricoh).

Nice vid, cool to see the neighborhoods in your perspective. Great videography and photos as well. How are you taking the vids, do you have an action camera on the shoulder or chest?
Thanks 🙏 The video is caught with a GoPro Hero 11 with a combination of the chest mount and the clip for the backpack strap (depends on the day / spontaneity).
Grx 3 or 3x which ever one ..its way better for colours and alot of options

Turn off auto white balance. Set your camera to 5500k. Works a treat.
Great video and Great shots around my Street Photography stomping ground, i find art galleries really good for photography especially when the weather cold outside, my favourite is the Tate Modern but always seem to have security following me around 😅

What wrist strap are you using with the GR3X? The one that comes with the camera is very loose round my wrist so it makes me nervous, but the holes to attach a strap are so small I haven't got anything else that will fit
It's the trusty Peak Design Wrist Cuff/Strap, which I interchange between both cameras (provided they both have PD anchors). The hole is indeed too small and I nearly gave up until I saw a video online about using fishing line to loop around it and lead it through. I required a proper yank or two, but it works!
Thanks for the tip! You inspired me to do something about this. I did manage to tie a sliding knot in the Ricoh strap so I could tighten it on my wrist but that was a bit messy so I went looking for the video. Not being a fisherman I don't have any line, but dental floss worked and I now have a PD anchor on the Ricoh. If anyone else wants to do this, I suggest taking the battery out first so you can't accidentally switch the camera on during the process. Also wrap the floss around a pencil and not your fingers when you pull it!@@po.ntandshoot
I did cringe every time you unfolded that screen.
The X-pro3 (lovely as it is) has a known weakness (the electronic ribbon that connects the Screen) and the consensus is that unfolding the screen beyond 90 degrees is a significant risk!
You're right to cringe - this is my second ribbon/LCD. I need to stop unfolding for the sake of the videos. Will be switching it out for another camera later this month hopefully!
hate to do a settings question...but... What focus mode are you using on Ricoh? I notice you go between close and distant and never tap screen and such...appreciated
Absolutely nothing wrong with a settings questions!
I mainly use the single point focus in a central region - moving the camera to choose the subject, locking focus and then composing the shot. Toggling the focus points using the screen and/or dial takes longer for me and is less accurate for the most part.
It's a great camera for its size, but I do find it fiddly / missing focus more than other cameras. Using the snap focus simplifies this and I love switching to this when I'm walking towards subjects and want to be in 'control'.
