For anyone struggling with this, there is a hidden enemy directly after the first enemy hidden behind a building, Scan when waiting for the barrier to move forward with a max range scanner head to find him. Killing him pretty much guarantees an S rank. I struggled so much trying to get it till I killed him - I took way more damage and ammo costs that run too, so it increases the leniency a heap.
You sir are a hero, I’ve redone this like 10 ten times tryn to get get an S 😂
Has anyone been able to confirm this extra hidden enemy?

For anyone struggling with this, you can actually trigger the final arena area fight earlier to gain time, and an advantage, by scanning the area (the enemies are always in the same spots as well). This even nets an additional dialogue line from Walter on your detection skills.
Received no more than 4k damage. The cost of ammunition was 27k. I was given a rank of S. Another thing: you don't have to go into the corridor to activate the next three enemies before going down into the abyss. You can kill each of them before you enter the corridor. It will be much easier this way.

you are probably not moving fast enough or using too much ammo. Ammo costs can negatively impact the rating. I was having a problem where I was blitzing through missions, but only getting A’s because I was trigger happy as hell
@@redacted5985 i think my issue was that i did too many shots, espescially at the end where i tried to find those thingies on the wall, lots of misplaced shots that put my ammunation cost quiet high
I’m using the pilebunker to one shot and not use ammo and still getting A rank. Frustrating

@@Derdaida Yeah I started tuning my builds with ammo costs as possible factors and it’s helped a lot.
How I got an S-Rank on my 3rd try of this mission: just use a missile boat build with reverse joint legs (like Mind Beta) and VE-44B head (for maximum scan capabilities). Missiles are so cheap and can gets you easily and FAST rid off those pesky ghosts, that you should identify before they activate using your superior scan capabilities. Scan, fire missiles, dead. Scan, fire missiles, dead. And so on. You don't even need to get closer, and missiles also have homing capabilities on those pour souls.
To be more precise, I used 2x HML-G2/P19MLT-04 and 2x BML-G2/P17SPL-16, paired with SCF-G2/P10SLT to minimize as much as possible missile locking time. For the ghosts outside the pit, fire both hand missiles and 1 back missiles. This way you can one-shot them in a few seconds, even from afar (well, these missiles have 2.5 and 1.5 km of range, after all). Alternate if you will the back missiles you are using (left, right, left, right, ...) to keep ammo consumption even, if you like me have OCD and want to keep things tidy. In the pit, is even easier: those 3 sniper ghosts are weak, and you should just fire both hand missiles at them (the back missiles are not needed). Once you got rid of those weaklings, hard lock on the bigger ghost on the ground, and spam ALL missiles at him while jumping around him in circles. He won't even be able to hit you, and will be dead in like 10 seconds.
And remember: if you cannot S-Rank a mission in this game, it is usually because your mission strategy is wrong, or your build is not optimal for the specific case. Like this mission: after passing to a missile boat build with huge scan capabilities, it has become so much fun! :)

For anyone still having issues, along with the hidden guy everyone is talking about, ammo cost is the biggest thing. Zimmies are good but they cost too much, Haldeman's are still a one shot after a single songbird round and each bullet cost 150 less than Zimmies. Get your repair and ammon cost under 30k and you're good

Make sure to scan the three hidden enemies before the door you need to open, attack them preemptively
Im using basicly his build but with VE-42A because I hate tank legs and Im basicly the same as him, I took 14k damage my last run but I want to know how only 2 needles smokes most of these guys because it aint happening for me.

My big tip with this is a pulse shield. I used the coral shield and it actually helps a lot. I never took damage till the last room and just throw it up if ur about to take damage and it keeps ur ammunition cost low
Thanks for the video and the build suggestion... The threshold for perfection on this mission is really something. I killed the extra enemy some people in here pointed out, I'm not convinced it helps, but who knows? Altogether, when I finally managed to get an S rank, I did it perhaps somewhat faster than this video, but less efficient. I took some damage and my overall ammo/repair costs were about 30k compared to yours 22k. Best of luck to everyone.
What a lot people don't seem to know, before the final fight all enemy mechs have a fixed spawn point. You can use your scanner to detect them before they appear as they are in "sleeping mode". For example the melee unit is on the left when you spot the second sniping unit. If you kill all of the units before they show up you will save a tremendous amount of time. So if you decide to do a run just to learn their spawn points you will definitely be at least half a minute faster.
I used dual zimmerman + dual stun needles. At the third area (2x sniper 1x melee) a sniper and melee unit are next to each other pretty much. Use 1 stun and both shotgun hits and then hit the melee with 1 stun and both shotgun hits. You will one shot all of them.
In the final area you can snipe the units with the stun needle. If you use the VE-44B you can see them from very far with your scanner and they will be highlighted when the jump from the sides. So if you dont see them snipers then they are at the other side.
My fastest run with this method was slightly above 3 minutes.
Can confirm. I spent all night working on this S-rank. I slapped on the VE-44B and scanned during the 3 man fight. You can just kill them and save 30 seconds. It makes the difference.
Thanks a lot, just got it while doing your strats on the first try, but replaced dual Zimmermans with Sweet Sixteen because it deals more damage and a *lot* lower ammo cost

New update, dual needle launchets dont one shot these guys anymore. Ive been using them still with stun guns and it takes one shot with a stun gun after the twin needles. A kick into twin needle also does the trick
Just got S rank with dual zimmers and a single songbird on a lightweight build. I couldn’t honestly say what the trigger was except that it was one of my fastest and most efficient runs
Edit: Coral generator is also great as it lets you spam boost to reduce the travel time.
I'm using a melee build, lance and dagger. Easily getting to the end but I keep messing up and getting an A. Super annoying will try again later
Just got this after several tries, sharing my experience in case it helps someone. What worked for me was scanning to get the drop on all enemies, including the one to the right behind a build just after you kill the first. 2 Zimms to the face followed by a combo from the pulse blade. One enemy did teleport during the last encounter.

man I've been trying this for weeks, killing the enemies before the aggro, even the hidden guy. I can beat the mission in like 3 minutes and still get an A 😭
This is the real answer. But expenses are also important. Did it with VE-44B head for near max on all scan stats. Scanning at range will let you snipe with a double needle before they engage. Get the drop on the three before going in the door. In the arena ignored the ground guy and used scan to quickly find the snipers and snipe them back. Just be sure to listen and dodge the snipers so you don't take much damage. Got the S with just about a 1/4 health taken off and low ammo expense because of zimms for the final melee dude on the ground.
After hours and hours of banging my head up against this brick wall, I finally got the S Rank using a heavyweight biped build with dual Earshots and dual Majestics.
Just fire one Earshot at each of the mechs the moment they uncloak to one-shot them and unload Earshots _and_ Majestics at the boss with the whip to take it down asap.
This worked for me. I've read that it's all about doing it FAST with $140,000 or more profit - Was surprised with how cheap the ammo was for the Earshots and Majestics.
Yeh, the speed to cost ratio is really not clear at all.

Hell, I can't even finish this mission. I really have no clue how to handle the final encounter. As soon as i find one of the snipers on the walls and fly over to it, im shot by 3 others.
Make sure to go to the enemy after the first enemy you take down, I completely missed him, and more importantly the log beside him. He's on the right side after the first one, your scanner should be able to pick him up if you just scan while you wait for the next area to be accessible (at 0:45, he should be to the right of you behind the buiding). It seems that based on this video, you don't have to kill this enemy to get S rank, so I have to assume the log is mandatory. In the end I was killing him anyways just to be safe, he should be easy kill with melee because he doesn't wake up until you're right beside him. My reward money was over $150k too but time didn't feel that tight.
To be clear, the log is a one time thing just like combat logs and other access logs, once you get it I'm pretty sure you're eligible for S rank, provided you don't use too much ammo and don't take too long. I'd thought the enemy was mandatory too but powerpyx's video proves otherwise.

It's definitely gotta be the log, I did a run like this one but way more efficient with a frame designed for speed and one-shotting as quickly as possible, and still got an A.
@@UTO7 I do think even if it's not because of the log, simply by killing that extra enemy there should make it easier for those that already have the log. Killing it nets you a good amount of extra money, it only takes like 10 extra seconds max and little to zero extra ammo cost.
I finally managed to get S rank After 2 hours of trying.
i changed the two stun needles with two song birds as it has a lower ammo cost and one Gatling gun with a laser blade
the S rank has three factor
1-Time
2-ammo cost
3-damage taken
I got S rank after 3 hours of trying, but with WORSE time and damage than on a previous attempt. 153k vs 156k. Same build. Its genuinely just bugged. Fuck this game

Dual Zimmerman and songbirds.
Outside enemies acs stun with zimmers than a single songbird. Boss fight do dual song bird salvo for wall enemies then zimmers (can have a single songbird salvo if absolutely necessary)for floor boss
Finally, did it! Followed the video build and method. Took 20% dmg too, but still got the S. After 4 hrs.

For anyone still having trouble: First, I recommend a small tweak of using Zimmermans with the videos build. The enemies don’t move until you get directly up close and/or initiate combat. Wait until you are close enough and use both to instantly break their posture. One round of the stun needle will finish them off. Second, do try to get all of the enemies in the level (11 total). Third, when you drop into the coral reservoir, the enemies will spawn on the wall segment directly to your left, one to your right and the other in the back wall on the left segment. Immediately try to fly up to each and simply use both needle rounds than try to use zims. Once those enemies are done, focus on the one chasing below. This technique allowed more room for damage and resulted in a much higher score for me. (Note: My tuning stats were all maxed). Good luck!
Just a tip for using assault boost…if you jump right before running out of EN you won’t get the stop animation
You need to scan the stealth man after the first guy that usually aggros at fight number 2 after first mech. after then you then need to scan the 3 hidden mechs that ambush you when you open the door. from there you get it, dont aggro the door first to wake the men up
The time and the damage you took matters. Basically it comes down to 4min10sec for those who S ranked. I did it twice at 3min 40ish seconds. Ammo and repair cost cannot be too high to affect final payout. Your payout must be above 140k. Under 140k always A rank, at least for me even if I did sub 4 min.

Some people in the comments said that the most important criteria in this mission is that you must not let any sniper teleport even once, makes me wanna test this hypothesis now. If true, then this is really stupid that they've made it that way without telling anything. Maybe you really killed all of them quickly enough on that run?
Just did it!🥳🥳 Around 75% AP, Expenses 31726, RC 4486, AC 27240. Income 148274. Did it pretty fast, one enemy in the last room teleported. I used two songbirds for each enemy (1 shoot per arm). The last one on the floor, HU-BEN till the shield was gone and two songbirds.
S rank is borderline impossible.
It's the ammo consumption. Tried out different things and took super long on this mission. Did it with dual moonlight blade, stunneedle launcher and some offhand rocket. Instant S rank after that. use a melee weapon, it pretty much guarentees you a S rank!Tell me if that worked for you.
True about ammos cost. but time must be like sub 4min 10sec from 2 youtubers' vids I think. And the final payout must be more than 140k(starting is 180k only). For me I use dual dockett to stagger follow up with a songbird shot. I can do it sub 4 consistently, and anytime my final payout is more than 140k I get S ranked.
@mehmeth9773 sub 4min10sec with final payout no less than 140k. That means light weight fast build with speed of 350-360 dual Dockett to stagger follow up with 1 songbird shot.

@mehmeth9773 you're right, yeah. I noticed that aswell in some missions i did after this one. It seems that the overall payment we get at the end is pretty much the ranking, which counts in ammunition cost, time, and repaitcost aswell i guess?
Just got the s rank today, it took me almost 5 days to get it, i even got hit a few times but i still got the s rank maybe because it's more about completing the mission faster, destroying the ac's as fast as you can and not wasting too much ammo. TRY TO MAKE EVERY SHOT COUNT, the more you make direct hits so the more are the chances to get the s-rank.

I completed the task like this:
1- You don’t have to put anything on your shoulders, but you can wear a shield, he doesn’t take money, haha
2 - Take the Zimerman in one hand
3 - In the other hand, a blade with high cooling VP-67LD
4 - You fly up to the enemy, shoot from the Zimerman and then when he is stunned, hit him with a blade and after that they should usually be killed.

This mission is pissing me off. I can't get both SPEED and Zero Damage in the same run. I'm completing the mission in about the same time as this video, but I haven't memorized the exact directional sequencing for that part just before the locked door. So when I run back out to face them, I always get tagged and then the run is over because I took damage.
And after about 30 attempts, i'm convinced the primary condition is both speed AND avoiding all damage. So stupid. I dunno why I'm wasting my time for a meaningless achievement.
Use HG 004 Duckets, they have lower ammunition cost than zimmerman's & I found the stun to be pretty good, despite the ricochet, but mop up with stun needle's should help.
You gun suggestion help me out tremendously after trying for 3 hours. Thank you, I highly suggest the HG 004 Duckets, Songbirds and light build.
First of all, fuck this mission and fuck this ranking system. Second, don't even try this with machine guns, use song birds and bazookas which one shot enemies, also kill the enemies before you enter the hallway.
This one’s brutal, I used 2 ducketts and 1 songbird on a light build. I used the hammerhead shark helmet, the nacht core and arms, and the wheelchair legs. Kept my ammunition costs super low and I was super fast.

I can confirm that the S rank in this mission does not give a fk bout ur time, ammo or hp. All that matters is that none of them teleport away, if they do it will be automatically A rank no matter how flawless the run was.I have tried dis over 50 times.

@@golferchin76 idk bout you bro i was using twin basic missile launchers, plasma sword on left and basic ar on right for the last coral room snipers as they fall down in 1 shot of anything. My runs were around 5min bcz i made sure that they don't teleport, i was going for speed earlier with other builds but that doesn't seem to help

In the beginning I was getting annihilated and realized my unit wasn't well equipped. I went back and replayed the mission "Destroy Tester AC" dozens of times to make quick money. You'll make 50-95K and that mission only takes a couple minutes. After that I completely overhauled my AC. I got Bazooka x2 and Dual Missile Launcher x2. I also upgraded everything else like legs, core, booster, arms, you name it. I emphasized big and strong over speed and quickness. I went back to replay the mission and I beat it on my first go in about 6-minutes.
The game recommends focusing on the snipers instead of the brute in front of you but I disagree. Destroy him since he's in your face and you can actually see him. I spammed all four of my weapons until he was dust. Once his shield goes down he's finished. Keep your distance since his whip has a lot of range. As for the snipers, the key thing it to dodge (square) as soon as you hear the alert sound which is two beeps. Once that second beep sounds to hit square and they will miss. I stuck to the ground until is saw where the lasers were coming from and then just beelined it and again spammed my weapons. Rinse and repeat.
Shits just bugged guys, don’t get too mad at it lol. Just tested all theories at once lol, got 157,584 credit payout took only a few hits. Killed everything before they teleported got the hidden guy, and finished under 4 minutes. Still got A. Anyone saying this or that about how to S-rank this is talking out of their ass. Just keep doing everything right it will eventually happen. But don’t think it has something to do with completing this a certain way. Good luck everyone.
Dark Souls 3 Firelink Shrine warns you about the 11th enemy hiding after the first sniper. Next to the buildings and a scannable log.
1:18 "mark targets with scanner". Dude, i cant even lock on for a shot....
One fine detail that might help is that at the boss room, you have to scan and snipe the 3 small mobs hanging on the walls first and then blast the whip boss last. It seems that focusing the whip boss first messes up your timing as the hanging snipers start teleporting around after a short delay, once they spawn. Which in turn will mess your timing a lot, as you'll have to chase them around after the whip boss. The VE-44B head for the wide scan range and stun needles/Zimmermanns worked well. So focusing the hanging mobs first is what worked for me.
Your strategy is what makes me fail. The hardest part is actually defeating the boss. He constantly leaps around while shooting me. 😢
@@meraclechamlotte9291 I used the stun needles to stagger him and finished him off with the dual Zimmerman's and assault armor. It should be done in one combo. So stun needle the hanging mobs and then stun needle/shotgun/assault armor the boss. 2 min time untill the boss room and another 2 min for the boss fight. A bit over 4 mins with this start got me the S rank.
So, I've both done this mission without getting hit AND killing the extra enemy hiding by the first enemy in the level and I've still gotten an A rank. Seems that ammo cost is valued highly in this one! I took two songbirds and dual zimms and tried to be as efficient as possible. One shot of the songbird will stun them and a followup shot of the zimm will kill every enemy except the mini-boss. Obviously, trying to avoid as much damage as possible is also very important. I got hit once by a laser and still got the S rank.
Same here this mission makes you desperate. I can do it fast with almost no damage, but still “A” everytime. With the update stun needles are not as good anymore for this, so the build is not quite optimal.
Just “S” ranked O’Keefe though so nearly there about 13 more missions to go all are A but this one is frustrating
Actually just impossible, took no damage cost under 30k, done in 2:57 minutes, didn't use checkpoints. I spent two hours doing this and got absolutely nothing in return.

This mission is a pain. You cannot just bludgeon your way through as the ammo cost will ruin the S.
With the current update:
Go with the laser knife and nothing in the other hand.
On shoulders have the pulse blade and one of the small bazookas.
Then build the fastest mech possible (Firmeza legs is a must). Must have pulse armour.
Fmor each of the robots two punches and the knife is a kill. The knife reloads fast.
At the end once you trip the way point walk to the back of the chamber and look left one robot always goes there and another lower down on the right one partition further out.
Zoom and hit them with the bazooka one shot and activate the shield as when they fire it is hard to dodge. Kill the ones on the wall first then switch to the pulse blade to go through the shield for the one on the ground.
Takes half a dozen goes to get their pattern but it will work.
This took a few attempts, I eventually got S rank by using the Alba Frame with one stun needle launcher and two haldeman shotguns. The total expense cost was 31k
Fyi, use Zimmerman shotguns instead of miniguns to save on ammo + kill quicker. That way, you can take a bit of damage, too.
Yeah this one definitely doesn't make much sense. If it helps anyone here is my setup when I S-Ranked, also was down to 3k life and didn't heal and still got it so. Idk. Guess health doesn't matter as much, noone escaped but, noone escaped on all my A-Rank runs as well and I had less health this time around, also think this may have been a slower run.. Also on the 1st area with multiple people I killed them before scanning the first door, not sure if that helps.. So.. No clue lmao

Get score 144,000 and S Rank is yours. 143,000 is still A Rank.
Kill the hidden mob for a bit of extra reward and insurance. Does not greatly boost your point though.
Best is no hit run and 1 shot weaponary like in this vid.
It’s annoying how long this s rank took me. Same w prisoner rescue. Idk how imma get this platinum ! Lmao

This mission was such a bear for me. I had to complete it without getting hit in order to secure the S rank.

Finally got my S rank.
I built a fast AC with 2 haldeman weapon and 2 stun needles.
It's OK to take a little but damage but you need to make sure to be much faster and make sure to kill all the stealth mecha at the back of the building. The reason why you need to kill that hidden mech is because it will give you additional money at the end.
So you need to be fast and make sure to kill every mech with minimum ammunition cost.
Finally! I'm out of this hell mission.

Light build with Dual Ludlow and basic pulse blade.
I just did 2k repair costs, faster than the video, including the battle log, and got A rank ...
so... basically no damage run? make sure your AC doesn't get hit with sniper rifle?

Super annoying, for me a couple of those damn stealth mechs keep changing locations in the first area. Then in the pit my thing won't lock on until I'm right in front of them on the walls then they change locations. Tried this a good 20-30 times and still no S.

Charged pile bunker one shots all these goons but the boss. Failed this S a few times screwing around with random weapons for fun until I got ol' reliable back out and got it first run

Im doing like this video for two days but i have an eternal "A rank". i dont understand. maybe a bug?This is the only mission with this problem for me

wow i finally got it this one was terrible. dual zimmerman and dual songbird got it done faster than anything else i used. i killed the hidden enemy just cause but not sure that that actually does anything since i did it like 8 times and kept getting A’s while only taking like 2-3k damage. (edit i think the gatling ammo cost is what was killing me)
Finally got an S rank. With dual stun needles, empty right hand and Laser Lance on the left.
The sleeping ones can be dealt with after scanning them, charging the Laser Lance. Followed by three punches. The snipers and the ones woken up can be one shot with dual stun needles.
Try to memorize the position of the enemies for better planning and faster times.

The melee build was to reduce my ammo cost since make attacks don't have an ammo cost.
As mentioned by @MisterGency Pile Bunker works too to one shot the enemies without punching but the range is less forgiving.
I’ve been on this mission for days and can’t beat it. First play through and only have limited gear, how do I do it? The setup you have I can’t make right now.
People mostly do this after NG++, i.e., after clearing all 3 ending.
Bit of advice this mission relies HEAVILY on how much damage you take and how much ammo you spend. You need try your very best not to get hit and use as little ammo as you can.

This mission sucks man I tried a few strata from here and none worked for me so my build was this
L + R Arms = Zimmermans
R Shoulder = Earshot
Head = Titan Qiang
Core = Nachtreiher
Arms = EL-PA-00 Alba
Legs = EL-TL-10 FIRMEZA
Booster = Alula/21e
FCS = Fcs-G2/P10SLT
Generator = AG-T-005 Hokushi
I left the gen from a previous try but I’d swap it out for the VP-20C if I were to do it again
Finally double pump all the enemies and choose when to fire the earshot for the first three areas but for the final one chase down each sniper and the shotguns should be able to kill them with one shot each

This is so bs how the same build is what gets S rank. We have so many options to choose from but double stun stun needle + double gat guns is the perfect combo of dmg and cc. I'm sure other combinations of parts, frame and weapons out there works but this is so easy, why would you spend the time to find another alternative? I can't wait to S rank everything so I can enjoy some build variety in my NG+ and NG++ runs.

Finally got it! I ended up using a full Basho frame since the arms have the highest melee specialization with a Pile Buker and a Sweet Sixteen (this combo does JUST enough dmg to KO each mech) + double songbird. I used the Songbirds sparingly though. Mainly saved them for the last fight so I could finish them off quicker. One clip of Songbirds + Sweet Sixteen was enough nix each one. Songbird is nice too because of the aoe it does.
I've never used the gats or needles because slow builds feel gross to me in this game and have S'd about half the game using RJs with random stuff I never used in my story playthrough. If you wanna have fun, have fun bro
What the hell? I’ve killed all the enemies, including the one hidden behind the building having taken less than 2000 damage on a 12000 ap build and I still got an A.
This mission is honestly rather unfair especially considering how it's setup
Everything matters. The time, the damage you take, the ammo you spend. If you do slightly worse in one category, but you do well for the others, you should still be fine. Get a high damage per shot+ decent reload speed loadout, learn where they spawn, land your shots/don't waste ammo, and try not to get hit. It's not that complicated.
Dual gats tank builds are nasty

at the part at 2:05 I start the fight before opening the door and getting ambushed, I wonder if doing it early is preventing the S rank somehow

going for S rank is probably wise after you reach the "true ending" since you will have most parts unlocked

No one believe the mumbo-jumbo from the guy below me it’s all lies. You really want help with this if you’re using a lightweight AC make sure your health is above 7000. Try to use physical attacks mostly and people say that if you get A rank, it’s because you’re using too much ammo it’s not the limit is 13,000 between health and ammo fines so you should be fine. You need to get it under five minutes that’s why people keep getting A rank

You don't need to completely avoid damage, I just got S rank on this and I took 2-3 laser hits (148,092 income - slightly lower than the vid due to damage taken)

I just finished the mission a good 30 seconds faster than the video and still got an A. It has to be more than time.

@@dplayz8173 this mission must perfect time and money, bro . I must end this mission before 4:20 minute and total money(- repair cost, -amor cost) over 150,000. is requiment for s rank. I think it is over perfect for s rank. the last area, if you cannot kill three sniper in 20 second after you touch the ground like this chip you never got s rank.if you stun needle launcher over 2 bullet per sniper. the money maybe not over 150,000 ( must use armo cost over 28,000, yey i recomment you should change machine guh to another gun to save armo cost. time and money is very fig for this mission.😟 I got it now but i still wonder why condition is over perfect like this.

@@tanakronplatinums I did it in 3:30 with a payout of 136k, time is the most important factor here, but dont just waste your ammo though, dual zimmerman + stun needles get the job done very quick and make sure to use the scanner to see the enemies before they reveal themself in the first part
Seemed kind of random. I did it super fast but took one hit (also killed the secret guy and got the log) 144k profit A rank
Took more hits, used less ammo and did it with 147k profit S rank. I almost restarted this run with how many times I got hit.
I'd say try and get less than 33k expenses and kill all enemies.
