What a nice video . I love the drone footage. Let me know when you plan to come back and I’ll spend a week up there fishing with you . Your going to need a bigger net . Lol. Yak man 🎣🎣
Hi T. That's about as far north as you can get in the US. And a long drive to get there. You have to love those "smallies." They do fight good. I love Maine, but I wouldn't want to be there in the winter. Jersey was bad enough. You're only missing some rain down here. It's been pretty dry in southern Brevard County, so I'm not complaining. Good luck and enjoy Maine, Mickey
Boy, you're not kidding. Next time I come up, I'll get half dozen days on the river. Make it worthwhile. Such pretty area though. I bet it's gorgeous when it's blanketed in white! But I'll never find out. hahaha.
Still a fun day. I did great this morning. My 2nd largest Bass was a little 4.36 lb Largie at about 6:31am in the daylight, on my new rod, new reel, and new buzzbait. The largest bass was a 7.85 Largie, also on the same rig, at 6am in the dark over 12 foot depth. A hundred yards or so away is where the 4.36 was. I fished down turned around and fished back a little deeper water and the 4.36 hit over 15 foot depth.
I hear you on there steep ramps especially after a long day fishing, that is one of the reason I got me a winch mounted in the bed of my truck so it can pull my kayak up the ramps and right into my truck, just saying
@@OldLadyAngler no just an bed extender, I lift it up while the winch is pulling it once it's on the bed extender I just guide it and having a remote for the winch helps
WISCONSIN, GREEN BAY AREA, LOTS OF MUSKIES UP THERE....Milwaukee guy just sayin..... so what am I doing in DFW....HOME is were you make a living $.... LOL you are in beautiful country... Maine is great....love the eye in the sky shots...
yeah lots of Muskie in the norther central area. I've also read that Virginia has musky which surprised me. Might have to stop there instead of western PA.
Beautiful river and fun video. Don't feel bad about not getting a Musky. My uncle, from Wisconsin, said that with every 1000th cast a Musky is caught. So his solution was to cast 999 times in his yard so the 1000th on the lake. Ha Ha. I don't think he ever caught one.
Muskies are hard to catch. I was frogging for some bass last weekend, and I was about to bring in the frog to the boat, along the weedline, this little musky just hit the frog and missed it TWICE!! The thing hit at first, missed it, did a 180 like in a fraction of a second and hit again and missed it. Going back to that spot cuz I saw some big fish on the sonar..water is just a bit too warm still.
very nice my friend....nice skill
Thank you so much

Haha. Yeah, I don't have proper Musky gear! I will definitely let you know my next outing dates. Thank you Randy.
I've caught 10" smallmouth on a 8" bullshad..they are super aggressive.
they're an amazing fish!!

water temps is down to 69 now, was 74 the other day, then 76 before that, going down fast.
Wow! Awesome morning!

hahahaha. That's awesome. So do you have a rail system on your tailgate?

They don’t call Musky the fish of 10,000 casts for nothing. But still a great day exploring a new piece of water. Life is Good !
I know that's right, Don. Had a ton of fun trying though. I'm thinking about going thru western pennsylvania on my way home. Lots of Musky there.

Wow. That's cool. What was the water temp? St. John River was about 73°F but they're catching Musky there all summer long.

Yup, Smallies don't know when to quit. LOL
And the smaller they are, the harder they fight.
