Karen, I have never commented before, but I just had to tell you and Michael that your love is so peaceful, and lovely and joyful! It is so obvious that there is mutual respect and appreciation. I'm in Germany at about the same latitude as Paris, France. We have wonderfully late summer nights, too. The further north you go, the later it stays light. Go to Scandinavia in summer and you'll have the midnight sun!
I live in Norway and we have light almost until midnight, and then the sun goes up again around 3 in the morning. In summer that is.

I'm in Southern California and it stays light around 9 p.m. at the latest in July. Now it stays light until round 8 p.m. That first room was EVERYTHING 💜💙💚💛🧡

It stays bright until 10.30pm in London but that's in June. Now it's gone past the longest day it gets dark sooner so right now it's dark around 9.15pm.

I did this entire trip as a penniless student years ago, did all the things you shouldnt, hitched from Paris to south of France and slept on the beach , best trip ever.

I live north of Paris so it stays light for a little longer in summer. A beauty and fascination that never ceases to amaze me although I‘ve known it all my life. You pay for it in winter when it gets dark at 4 p.m.
Ohhhh, I love this! France is so beautiful! We go every year 8/12 weeks to Provence. And every year I buy on the marché linnen dresses. You are a very lovely couple, I can feel the love!

Great vlog!!! And it was great seeing my regular (pre-Covid) stomping grounds of decades; Paris/Nice/Cannes/Beausoleil/Monaco.
As for whether it stays light outside for that long where I live, it doesn't. But, over the last 39 years of back and forth to Denmark, spending summers there since I was a teen, it stayed light for very long periods. The windows had to have double curtains to block out the light in order to sleep.
A few years ago, while back in Paris during the summer, I took a nap at my hotel early one evening. When I woke up, I thought that it was the next day, but it was actually the same evening that I had fallen asleep. My Parisian friend thought that I was crazy when I e-mailed her that I'd meet her soon at the cafe. The meet-up was to be for the next-day morning. But, when I woke up and looked at my watch, I thought that it was the next-day morning as it was still really light outside. She and I laughed hysterically. I went back to sleep. Jet lag. LOL!
Michael's Dior man bag is perfection and suits him very well.

The latest is nine P.M. in the Midwest during summer. The room is beautiful. It is fun watching you both in Paris. I love France. I visited my son's family in Bordeaux the city is beautiful & St Andrews Cathedral is lovely.

I am in the Netherlands and the dark falls around 10:30 PM. This is, of course, most noticeable in June/July, now when is August it's getting dark before 10 PM LOL

My partner and I did this exact trip but added Amsterdam in the beginning and loved it. There’s something special about doing the south of France before doing Paris. It gives you a sense of how beautiful both the city and the coast are.
