Electric soldering iron is usually the element that is most frequently damaged.
In this video, I modified it so that the soldering element is more durable and lasts longer, just adding a diode and a switch.
So the way it works is that when the switch is off it will inhibit the current and if the switch is on the current flows normally.
So when in standby position use off mode.

bang iti diodanya kenpa gk dari anode yg di sambung ke kaki colokan.. bukannya cara kerja dioda lewat kutup positif dlu..mohon pencerahannya mas..sy sring bingung soalnya
