I actually had no idea who The National were going into this film. I'm a huge fan of Docs and came through this film after hearing great reviews about it. The reviews were definitely right though, you don't need to know anything about the band to enjoy this movie. The film and the main character, Tom, reminds me of a real life Tommy Boy w/ Chris Farley. This doc actually made me become a fan of The National and can't stop listening to the song Terrible Love because of the ending shot which depicted the brother's relationship perfectly. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful and honest story b/w siblings and wish nothing but the best for all your future endeavors. You truly deserve all the success this film has brought upon you

This rockumentary is so good, Tom is hilarious and I love The National. Although I couldn't shake off the feeling I was watching a mockumentary instead but I still loved it.

The Jaws of documentaries. Jaws became the great film it is because they had to cut the shark out because it looked crap. This is similar, a documentary supposed to be about one thing that becomes about something entirely different as it evolves naturally, largely through mistakes. This isn't a documentary about The National, it's a documentary about brothers.
