I made this for my cat but she wasn’t interested so I put it on my rabbit. This is the cutest hat ever!
Hi and thank you! I would love to see your creation on your rabbit if you have time to send photos. 🤗
This was super easy to follow! I loved that you wrote the written pattern too, that made it so much easier to pause and crochet rather than having to rewind the video over and over again. Thank you so much! 💕

Bless and thank you Cheryl! Please show us how it goes. 😊
i made this hat a couple of hours ago. this was my second crochet project and it turned out pretty well! the tutorial was easy to follow. however, it did end up being a little big on my cat. i made a medium but i couldn’t test it out on her since she was sleeping so i just sort of eyeballed it. thanks for making this tutorial! will make some for my friends’ pets next! 🤎
I am so excited! I bought a little knitted hat like this at a cat fair years ago. I can't wait to make more for all the cats I know. Thank you for this tutorial!

Thanks for amazing video!! I just have done mine. Although my cat didn’t like the hat, he thought it was a toy or something, but he looks so cute in it 😻!!
Hi! Thank you so much. If we're honest, it's a rare cat who 'likes' a hat.😆
Amazing 😆😆
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you so much for the patternI have been looking a long time for one like this. I'm going to make two for my little dogs that are only 4lbs each. But I'm going to try and add a sun visor because their eyes water outside in the sun when they sit or lay around on the deck. Wish me luck.
That's a great idea! Closer to summer, I plan to add a pattern for one in cotton with a visor. Please let me know how you go!
This is an awesome step by step tutorial. I asked my grandmom to make and it turned out so damn beautiful... Thank you for putting up such a video.

I only recently learned how to crochet, and this was a really easy tutorial for me to follow! I did end up accidentally making a large, but definitely my fault lol going to try again for a medium!! Turned out so cute, just too big
Hi Hailey and so glad you're learning how to crochet! Sometimes sizing is a bit tricky, especially when learning but well done and thanks so much for watching. 😽

Off topic but your cat is so cute!!!!!!🥰
Hi and thank you so much! That's not off topic at all. 🥰
Hopefully, you remake this with more close up version so i can see which stitches I should have put in✨
Hi Anis! So glad you're here! I'm sorry that it's not easy to see. Perhaps it's the darker yarn? I may film a different hat with a similar basic style in a lighter colour at another time but for now I'm sorry I don't have plans to refilm it. I hope it works out! 🥰
I love vats
Thx! :)
Hi and you're welcome! 🤗
Great tutorial! Thanks!!
You're welcome!
Premier projet au crochet à vie. Merci pour les explications. Pour mes chats, j'aurais dû faire small au lieu de medium, mais j'ai bien aimé votre patron. ☺️
Bonjour Stéphanie et merci beaucoup ! 🙏🥰
Thanks! It is so cute!! My cat now hates me lol
Oh no! Please don't let your cat hate you. 😆 But you're welcome! 😘
Do you think the large size hat would fit a pug? I love how you explain everything so well and that you put the pattern up as you're talking about it.
Hi and thanks so much! I think the large size might still be a bit small for a pug but you could try a larger hook size and bulkier yarn and experiment a little to suit your dog's head circumference. Let me know how you go! 🤗🥰
Ппикольно, интерестно моя кошка оденет такую шапку
My magic ring isn’t closing up what did I do wrong
👁👄👁
Hi Abigail! Sometimes you have to pull quite firmly on the tail end to close it. And perhaps just double check you've made the ring correctly. If you have, it should close up. Good luck! 😊
It was easy n fun to follow n hat turned out as expected but the large size didn't fit my cat properly .. Still it was fun thank you❤
Hi and I'm glad it was fun for you! Thanks so much for watching. 🥰
my cat can't stand clothing but idc, I'm gonna try this just for fun and maybe try to take one picture of her with a little hat lol. Subscribed!
Hi and thanks so much! Please send along the photo if you manage to get one. 😅😘
I'm doing size small and medium as a gift so no cat I can measure. I'm a bit unsure on round 5, at the end it says double crochet until the end of the round...am I supposed to have 10 stitches left after the second part of the ear?
Hi! You should have 9 stitches left but don't worry about counting at that point. After the 2nd ear hole just place DC x 1 in each stitch to the end. I hope that helps! 🥰
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Where can I upload a couple of pictures of the beanie I just completed? It was so much fun & cute to make!
Hi Vicky! I would love to see your pictures You can send them to catventurous.community@gmail.com or you can tag us on Facebook and Instagram @catventurous.crochet Thanks so much! 🥰🤗
Not me making this for one of my toys-
i learned the basic of crochet yesterday and here i am crying because the ties are so hard to make 😭
i hope my cat likes it 😭😭😭
That's amazing! Well done! We hope your cat likes it too! ❤️🐾
❤❤❤ your videos. I made a couple of your bow ties. This will be next.
Hi Kymber-Leigh! Thanks so much for being here. 🥰
I am making the small version and after I did the 10 Dc on Row 5 it was not working because there was no room left to put the 16 chains so I don’t know what I did wrong, so can you make a video of you doing it
Hi Natalia! Did you manage to work it out ok? 🥰
@@CatventurousCrocheteach size I’ve made makes the front and back two different sizes. Yours don’t look that way. Is the 10dc side the front or back. It is much smaller than the other side.
hey i'm so sorry, i want to ask about total dc and sc in every row please? like mine in the first row 12 dc, 2nd row 28 dc, third row 42 dc, fourth row is 56. am i right? but why when i want to make the part of 2nd ear hat cat i have to make more 10 dc. and is not not the same as the first ear. please answer my comment, thankyou dear
Hi! Thanks so much for your question. It depends on the size you're making but if you start with 12 x DC in your magic ring, your second round will have 24 stitches, the third round 36 stitches and the fourth 48 stitches. I hope that helps! 🤗
@@CatventurousCrochet thank you so muchh
la cara del gato es como: sueltame porfavor
😅
Translation of what the cat said, 'can we take this off now?'
How do you measure head circumference? Like...where do i put the measuring tape...sorry if it's a stupid question...I'm so confused lol
Hi Melanie! You're right, it's not an easy task. 😅 If you can get an estimate (maybe while your lovely is asleep) that's probably fine. Then, I would recommend making the hat on the larger side just to be sure. Good luck and thanks for watching! 🥰
@@CatventurousCrochet but how do I measure ? Like ...around the head under the chin ? Or around the head from forehead to the back ?
Hi! I know that you have already made a cat sweater but would you maybe in the future consider making a sweater vest for a cat? This one brand sells them for 100 dollars or something but I can’t find a tutorial anywhere :(
I can try! Might you have a photo of what you're thinking of to send me? You can email me catventurous.community@gmail.com. ☺️
livid that everytime i get to the 5th row i somehow have three extra stitches even tho i follow step by step and count every stitch

Did you figure it out? I have the exact same issue😢
@@annemassicotte636 I didn't figure it out but at the end I started to skip them and mine turned out fine

Hello ,how are you
I hope you well
Thanks for your beautiful teaching
I want to make bandana for my cats but I lost vedio
Can you teach bandana for cats
Hi! I have some bandanas on my channel that might interest you: the Kerbi Cat Kerchief, the Orson Button-up Cat Bandana and the Melba Bandana Scarf. More bandanas definitely coming soon! 🤗
I'm a beginner and I loved following along! I'm having trouble finding the first stitch and pretty sure I was always on the previous or second and third one. Do you have tips on finding the first stitch?
Hi! It can definitely take practice recognising the first stitch but you'll eventually get the hang of it, I'm sure! Perhaps you could try looking up a tutorial on UA-cam on the basics of working and increasing in the round and see if that helps? Good luck and let me know how you go! 🥰
Hi! Ever since I started practicing more and found that stitch markers really showed me. Thanks so much for the advice!
@@meedmbossard424 Oh, yes! A stitch marker can be very helpful. 🤗
Does 1 double crochet means the same technique as half double crochet? I did not quite understand the 2 1 thing on row three… BTW I just saw your channel and I love it already! I am just starting to learn to crochet and your channel is a great help. Thank you!
Hi Nina! Thanks so much for being here. 1 double crochet means make one double crochet. Half double crochet is a different stitch and isn't used in this tutorial. I refer to crochet stitches using US terminology. I hope that helps and happy crocheting! 😻
Ok. Thank you!🐱
for some reason whenever i make anything magic circle wise it doesn’t make a perfect circle. the edges are always going in some kind of wave. do you know why that is?
Hi! It could be something to do with your tension. Perhaps try crocheting a little looser? I hope that helps! Let me know how you go. 🥰
@@CatventurousCrochet thank you! i actually just had to look a little closer to how to do the double crochets. i was doing that wrong, i only just started a week ago. but i am so thankful for your video bc i’m now able to understand everything and even read patterns! thank you very much :)
@@doodboood A pleasure! 🤗
hi! can i ask a question?? i'm making a small one for my lovely kitten, but when in row five, when i'm gonna make the second ear hole, i'm only have 7 to skip (when it supposed to be at least 10),, am i made a mistake in the middle or others??? i'm a beginner so i don't understand:(
and no other space for more double crochets...😢
Hi! It's very difficult to help with your question without seeing where you're at. I'm sorry! I hope it all worked out. ❤️
@@CatventurousCrochet no it's okay, thank you!! i think i'm gonna practice again and make this hat again later ❤️❤️
@@roscent3677 Good luck! 🥰

Hi! I've a very genuine questions. What is the difference between the regular increase with the alternate, the one that you use starting from row 3. Thank you in advance
Hi! Thanks so much for your question. I would love to help but I'm sorry because I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Could you please expand a bit? ☺️
@@CatventurousCrochet oh, I'm sorry. on row 3, you mentioned about alternate pattern? (I don't know if i hear it correctly as English is not my tongue language). The one that use inc, 1sc, 1sc for row 3.
The usual increase that i usually found is 1sc,1sc, inc. so what's the difference between these two method?
Oh, sure! It just means to alternate 2:1:2:1... pattern, so alternating 2 x DC then 1 x DC then 2 x DC etc... for round 3. I'm sorry it wasn't clearer! Happy crocheting! 🤗
@@CatventurousCrochet i see. But is there any particular reason why u use alternate pattern instead of the usual increase? I mean what does it effects? The shape? Does it make it look rounder? Because i think if the usual increase that people use may look like hexagon or something.
@@ameeratulaniqah4267 Perhaps it's just the way I describe it or perhaps you have a different way of increasing but this is how I usually increase in the round. You could try both ways and see how it turns out. Let me know how it goes!
Hii how do i know the size ?
Please make more tutorials
Hi and thank you! I try to drop two per week so stay tuned. 🤗
crocheting is so difficult 😣 this will take forever for me to learn all the stitches to make this😰
I'm sure you can do it! Good luck! 🙌🤗
Oh god... Its very well explained, but I'm so bad, in 3rd row instead of a nice flat disc I had a freaking cauliflower
Hi Alicia! I'm sure you can do it! Good luck and please let us know how you go. 🥰
hi im sorry to bother you, i know this is not a tutorial for beginners, but i can’t understand with row 3, 2dc and then 1dc, ive been trying looking that up on internet but i couldn’t find the difference, whats the difference between 2 x dc and 1 x dc? doesn’t it mean just a dc repeatedly?
Hi and I welcome your question! No bother at all! This is referring to increasing in the round. There are a couple of different ways to do it but in this example, place 2 x DC under ch. 2 (in the same st. you sl. st. into) then in the next st. place 1 x DC. Then, continue repeat 2 x DC then 1 x DC to the end of the round. Hope that helps! 🤗
oh okay thats make sense, i wasn’t find the difference, but when i tried it, it is really look different (the v shape on the hole and if its 1xdc its a line shape) , thank you so much!! this is really helpful, thankyouu!! wish me luck! 🥰🥰🥰
Made it.... Cat has a circumference of 30cm... The medium was too big :( I'll have to try making the small !
Good luck Melanie! 😽
what is the difference between 2 sc into first and 1 sc in 1st they look the same
Hi! Thanks for your question. Do you mean at row 4? Perhaps it doesn't show well on camera but place 2 x SC in 1st st. (the chain doesn't count). Hope that helps!☺️
I dont understand. is the double crochet just increasing? I'm confused
Hi and sorry to hear that! Another viewer has included the written version in the comments if that helps? Good luck! 🤗
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, my crochet keeps rippling and it won't lay flat
I'm sorry to hear that and I'm sure it's frustrating! Perhaps try working with a lesser tension or even try a different yarn? Let me know how you go. Good luck! 😊
@@CatventurousCrochet I figured it out! I was using the wrong stitch lol. Thank you for the video, It's super easy and informative!

Hi! It depends on how you crochet but this can be made up within an hour or two. Happy crocheting! 🤗
