It is nice to see the other divisions of the criminal justice / administration of justice diciplines being highlighted. Many people are unaware of the behind the scenes operations that coalesce with the deputy and detective efforts on the streets. From stolen bycicles to human trafficking and beyond, every division, such as dispatch, forensics, community service officers, parking enforcement, property and evidence archiving and more, are all essential in the effort of ensuring that the right suspect/subject is connected as an actor to an event or occourence. The term "Synergy" is real, and SCSD enbodies its definition. Well done Sac. County Sheriff's!

I think there’s an art to this profession, such as the questioning and interpersonal connection, that a machine might not be able to replicate. If I were a crime victim going through trauma, I’d want to work with a human, not a machine.
