I would say arrogance but all of these are correct. He is as arrogant and self centered as ever. He doesn’t care about what she wants or what is right-he just selfishly thinks he can and should be able to force her to love him, despite everything he has done.

This was a very tragic drama. He loved her but his way of showing his love to her was very harsh and brutal. He purposely hurt her so as to “protect” her from everyone but he forgot that what she needed to be protected was from him. If he could just have told her that he is doing all of this to protect her and it was just an act, she could have been more understanding. Besides, she is a royal princess herself so she knows what goes around the internal palace and the harem. Had he done this, it could have saved them a lot of heartache and misunderstandings. I wish they both regained their memories before she decided to take her life. I do not like that suicide is romanticized in this drama. Killing oneself is never a solution. Agree that he is so ruthless and power hungry, for whatever reason he has, he still had the choice not to kill her grandfather and annihilate his clan on the eve of his marriage. He didn’t deserve her love but she shouldn’t have killed herself.

This drama was really well done but the story line was way to depressing almost from the beginning to the end. I want to be entertained and guess like some happy moments which this drama never came close to providing.

Sometimes I dont understand this drama (the storyline). I knew she loves him though might be not like he loves her. But why doesnt she tell him strightforward that she doesnt love him anymore after she entered the palace.
No even after she entered the palace she loved him. That's y she couldn't kill him even though she gets to know the truth. He also loved her but more than love he was obsessed with power and jealousy. So he couldn't see his love for her. But when he realize his love its all over.
He never listened to anything she said. If it wasn’t what he wanted to hear he ignored it. He was never worthy of her from the time he killed her grandfather until she killed herself. He always put his needs first! That’s not real love. Real love is considering another person’s needs as important too.

He leído varias novelas chinas, y en algunas, el ml se comporta re mal, desprecio, humillación, traición, incluso abusos. Y esas historias la mujer tiene que perdonar todo. Por el amor que le tiene. Hay personajes que valen la pena y siempre se quedan con las que las tratan mal e incluso lo justifican. Una vergüenza, lo mismo cuando también te dan el mensaje insistí una y otra vez, incluso si te humillan el se dará cuenta que nadie te va amar como yo 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Y lamentable a las personas que le gustan eso.
