Thank you! You just saved me $150 labor from the mechanic. Only took about 10 minutes to get the panel off. The hard part was getting the window switches out because I didn't have the right tool to reach the back snaps, but in the end it all worked out.
Omg I just did this today and even with all the tools it was a struggle to get it out but I didn’t give up and I did it.

thank you for the video. My window fell down and I used this tutorial to help me take off the door panel, plus a few extra screws and wedge a pvc pipe to keep my window up. Worked like a charm and only took about 15 minutes.

Thanks for this video! Very helpful in replacing my lock actuator. I'm at the point of reconnecting the window to the door. Is there a trick or should it just slide into the clamps and I tighten? The front of the window is wanting to slide down and the rear is meeting resistance (possibly the clamp).
Richard, Thanks for being so helpful so far. I am trying to replace the door lock actuator. To this point I have removed the door panel, disengaged the window and taped it up. Now I am in the process of removing the door "module". I have removed all the perimeter bolts. The module is now very loose and I can move it around. However behind the module the seems to be a connected white plastic part that is preventing me from pulling it away from the door. Do you know how to disconnect the module from this piece so that I can remove the module? Again, thanks so much.

Richard, thanks so much for this video. I have one question. At 5:36, it's almost as if the door is just sitting there free and you lift it right off. I've removed all the fasteners you previously mentioned to this point, but my door panel/trim won't really budge. I'm wondering I've missed something or if maybe I just need to break it loose with a little more elbow grease.
Did you lower the window prior to removing the panel? The door panel should lift up off the door. Thanks.

Yes it is the same except for the power window and lock controls that have a slightly different connector. Thanks.

Do you have a video on how to replace the side mirror ? It looks like I have to take the door panel off but it looks like the mirror is not connected to the door itself and not the plastic panel. Or does the mirror have a double ended plug so that I only have to replace the outside part ? 2012 Hyundai Sonata.. Ty !!!
I no longer own this vehicle but you can see in the video at the 4:10 mark that I remove the side mirror inside cover. This exposes the wiring harness to the mirror and the three nuts that secure the mirror to the door. I know the mirror has a connector that allows you to remove it but I am not sure if you can get at it without removing the door panel. Have a look and see if you can. But if you can't it's really not that big a deal to remove the door panel if you have to. All the best.
+Richard Lloyd thank you 😊, I actually took a closer look at it yesterday evening and found that there is just enough slack to pull the connector up and out from behind the door panel without taking it off. They put a lot of foam padding on it and that kept getting jammed up between the door panel and the door.

Richard - thanks so much for this. I took the panel off tonight. I found that the reason the lock wont lock is that there is a broken piece in what may be the "latch assembly". In order to buy the part I need to identify it. In the video, you pressed "a little tab on the door latch". Do you know what the part is that the latch plugs into on the door module? - it has those little chrome hooks on it. One of those chrome hooks is what broke on mine.
I think you are looking for the interior door handle assembly. I don't have a 2012 to compare but I know the body styles did not change. My "guess" is that they are the same. Sorry I could not be more specific.
