Here in south central Oklahoma seems to be a good mix of everything had a few nice groups of mallards fly in ring necks are plentiful in my area all season long.
Here’s an update for Ohio- the lake and bay have divers, plenty of mergs with decent numbers of others mixed in. Our puddlers are stale as month old bread. Waiting on some weather to push birds off Saginaw Bay
Coastal Louisiana Marsh Report - So far this season its been hit or miss. The Coastal Louisiana Marsh is struggling to survive this year and the natural food sources are dying off due to saltwater intrusion, summer drought, wildfires and just lack of rainwater.. Lesser Scaup (dogris) have been the only thing flying around in big groups, a couple stale pairs of gadwalls here and there, small flocks of green wings, but overall nothing too exciting. We are in desperate need of some good rain events and strong cold fronts.
It's been good in Colorado, and Nebraska. Have been getting limits on geese every time in Colorado since beginning of November, and limited on ducks and geese everyday in Nebraska at the end of November. We should lobby to move the season up a month.
Can Delta please report on any information regarding the amount of ducks estimated to be killed during the wildfires in Canada this summer? There is no doubt that multiple factors played in, but man the numbers of birds reported across the country seem to be much lower than anticipated. I also understand the poor breeding seasons/habitat we have experienced the previous few years. Just very curious on the effects of the wildfires.
Absolutely ... without question ... the worst season we've every had in California. 600,000 AC of rice were planted, spreading out the birds. No migration as of 12/8 to really speak of (specks finally arrived, some pintails, barely any GWT). All so strange
I’ve hunted about 20 days in the first and second split in the south zone, Texas coast. this is my first year I have ever struggled to kill red heads. On the bay extra ducks are rare but this year they’re nonexistent. I’ve hunted in and around different public land private land and bay units but I have seen the least amount of ducks in recorded history. The teal never showed up. Gadwall numbers are at an all time low and Pintail and Widgeon are nonexistent. I hope they shut the season down for a year or something, it’s sickening.
Please do a report on Western Pa (Erie) once in a while. The hunting here has been total garbage this season. No birds, no weather, if you are one of Pa's 19,400 water fowlers you could hang up the gear and never miss it. By the way the Eastern portion of Pa does not resemble the Western part of Pa. at all.
By far the best update I have heard for the 2023 season! Keep them coming, ducks and updates like this.
Florida Georgia line here we are completely dead here went on the lake today saw about 15 scattered over a good amount of the lake

The decoys behind the guy from PA look awesome. Very cool
In north east Texas here, wood ducks still around, some balls of teal but not many. Seen a few small groups of mallards, but that's about it!
Hunting in Wisconsin started good now with warm weather the last month has made hunting super difficult

This is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen. thank God someone else sees it😂 I’m from Greenville PA, all I see is hooded mergansers lol
So the season never ends? WTF?
What kinda report is this yalls reports are behind big time we just had a big push of water last week
South Carolina is by far the worst duck hunting on this entire earth
