It’s also to better open and relax the muscle in the ear canal. That’s what the feather and such is used for. It stimulates it and causes it to relax some how. Just rub your finger softly of the side of your face. Makes your ear pop slightly doesn’t it? It’s an odd, yet relaxing feeling

People recording this have asked the barbers about the history and it is passed down from generations even in separate places. Very interesting

Although people may find it odd, I can't help but find this fascinating. Like with the peacock feather, it's really cool to see the different cultural aspects of something as simple as an ear cleaning.
ikr! in germany you would just go to a doctor and be like „I have an ear cleaning appointment today“ they sit you in a room on a chair, clean your ears with a mini vacuum and send you home again, it only takes like 5 minutes

they're called otoscopes! I work for an Audiologist and sometimes have them check my ears or help them test equipment, it feels so nice because it tickles the ear hair lol

I've lost count of how many times I have watched this before going to bed. Out of all the other ear cleaning videos that I'd seen of Shili's, for some reason this one relaxes me instantly and puts me right to sleep. The way the lady moves is so careful, gentle, and not rushed.

I think she's doing the feather thing so you'll get used to the ticklish sensation and will make move less that way. But i think that's kinda relaxing
The peacock feathers don't actually feel ticklish on your skin at all, they feel very soft and soothing. It's kinda like using a fan brush for makeup, it's not ticklish at all, feels very relaxing and comfortable.

When I was little, I always made my parents do the "tickle massage" before I went to bed. It was just very very gently stroking my back with just the very tip of their fingers while I layed down. I found it super relaxing
