I watch a lot of different outdoor channels and most of them don't understand how the right mood music sets the entire pace of the video. You, "Simon, A Bloke In The Woods" and a kid from Australia called "Scott'y Gone Walkabout" do the best and are my favorites. Well done, keep up the good work.
Great video. I sat down with a tension headache and ten minutes in its gone. You caught and cooked your own meal, lit a fire in the stoves you designed with the fire steel you made and struck with the knife you made and sheltered under a tarp you made. You sir are up there with the best of the British bushcraft UA-camrs. (even your music could be said to be "in-house") kudos to you. I tip my (flat) cap to you👍🏻👍🏻
Another brilliant video, loving all the kit and handy cooking aids. I'm going to treat myself to one of those Fire Trough Stoves, cooking and keeping warm win win . Keep the vids rollin Richard.
Great video Richard. Glad to see you out and about. Also glad to see you almost at 10K subs, you definitely deserve it. Trout is one of my favorite fish to eat. FYI always carry a tarp even if you have a tent. They just supply more protection and comfort. See you in the next video. Hope you and Simon can do another video soon. 😊😊
Great video Richard, that meal definitely looked nice, nothing better than fresh fish, especially when you caught it yourself, your pack raft, reminds me of a kayak we had few year ago, great stuff, atb Mick 👍
That looked a lovely catch and camp Richard. I like the Sevylor pack raft too. Have a missed a video of you getting that? BBQ coals in the fire trough, that’s a great idea too. Not sure about your choice of breakfast though hehehe 🤭. All the best to you. Paul.
Hi Richard great video, I love the look of the nomad kitchen. The only thing I spotted was your paddle, if you set the blades at 90° you will find that you have better control and less effort. Many thanks and keep up the great videos
Don't know how YOU do it!! Another great video . I had a Sevylor kayak great piece of kit. Well done 👍 again ( like the no nonsense approach very refreshing 🤔) Regards Brian
Hello Richard, Really enjoyed the video. Just catching up as have been away in sunny Spain for a month. Your kit seems to be growing along with your subscribers, which you deserve as you have put a lot of effort in. Hope you're keeping well. Keep up the good work. Best wishes Mel
Great video, fab mini adventure, added to the previous video showing the scoping out that needs to happen is a good insight in to how much effort goes in to the videos
What a great video!!! Another very enjoyable trip "out camping with you". LOL. Your pack raft is a beauty!!!! You've got me thinking about getting one of those "Nomad's Kitchen" sets to gift to friends to like to go RVing. They have everything they need in the vehicle, but one of these would make a great add on to those times when you've forgotten something Thanks again Richard! Cheers!
Only ever gone sea fishing, but seeing this fresh fish makes me want to catch and cook one myself. Love eating whole fish. Delicious. You can reuse those coffee bags easily. Rinse the coffee out and dry, then put your own ground coffee in each trip. Nice easy way to make a nice coffee
You say "miserable morning", I say beautiful nature shots! I don't eat fish very often, but I'm always surprised at how different fresh caught fish looks from the supermarket stuff when its cooked. Looks amazing!
Great video Richard. I live on the south coast at the moment and your video reminds me of how much I miss the northern canals. I used to live near the Leeds and Liverpool and have brilliant memories of walks and even just pottering around along there. Thankyou
Hey Richard, I have been lurking around your YT channel for a bit. I came here by way of Maggie and Simon's YT channel. I enjoy your fishing episodes and hope that you continue to add those to your channel. I have wanted to ask if you flew in theater during Operation Corporate? Nice channel old bean and all the very best! Gordon
thought you were gonna bed down on the towpath for a second lol can you re-use the coffee brew thingy bag? as i'm not a fan of trout......or lentils.........the spuds looked nice😂😂😂
As someone that goes sea fishing, I regularly Catch and Cook.... and I have found that fish you catch yourself always tastes better then fish brought from a fishmonger. What is the weight of the Inflatable? I am thinking of going the Inflatable Paddle Board route instead of an inflatable canoe/kayak. And again that fish looked awesome!
Hi Richard, thanks for all the great videos, can I ask what drone you use please as I am looking to get one but cant decide, keep up the good work and take care
I really feel sorry for you folks in the UK always having to hide or get permission to camp, where I’m at right now I can drive about an hour or so and be at three different lakes that you can camp right on the beach, not to mention probably a dozen established camp sites if you don’t want to rough it so much, I like watching you guys I just wish you could have more spots close to you to camp at.
Rich, I didn’t know another way to contact you. But I think your Instagram has been hacked. It’s talking about investing cryptocurrency and buying Mercedes cars
Lesson learned there for the future always pack a tarp regardless of the weather forecast. That meal looked gorgeous, another excellent feel good video thank you. 👍😁👍

Great video Richard. Thank you for all the work it takes you to include us.
This is so nice! I love the beautiful music in the beginning of the video.
Thanks, Richard. Always a treat to watch your adventures. 👍🙂🏕️
Lovely and so peaceful!
Great video Richard, looks like you had a fab camp, that fish look lovely 👍👍

Forty to go!

good video, nice change to see you on the water.
Lovely cooking, Richard. The packraft looks interesting too.
Really good to see you fishing and back on the water! Please more of the same.
All the best. Tim
Thanks, will do!
More of this please.👍

One of your best videos, Richard! Really enjoyed. Bring on 10k - you deserve ten times that!

So close to 10k, any day now🤞🏻
Brilliant! This video has everything. Very well done! 👍🏻
Thanks for another great video Richard! Looks like your tarp did a great job. And I must say that fish looked amazing.
It was!

A very pleasing experience, and your usual interesting take on great food on your own stove - Thanks!
nice one wee man from dumfries
Like my wife (not a wee man though)!!
That’s a tidy pack raft Richard, and the Herons were an interesting distraction!
Good plan. Thanks N!
A really great video, Richard. Thanks, for going to all effort.
You say "miserable morning", I say beautiful nature shots! I don't eat fish very often, but I'm always surprised at how different fresh caught fish looks from the supermarket stuff when its cooked. Looks amazing!
You and me both!
Just adorable thanks a lot I had a great time watching
Ace camp well done mate
Have a great week
Atb 👍🏽
Aww; thanks buddy.
Great video Richard. I live on the south coast at the moment and your video reminds me of how much I miss the northern canals. I used to live near the Leeds and Liverpool and have brilliant memories of walks and even just pottering around along there. Thankyou
very enjoyable - really like the camp spot and simple gear - yet great food and 'perfect' weather for getting set up and packed up ATB
Loved the vid . Also got some of those versa bags there realy usefull
Great vid! Love the pack raft! I have a sevylor kayak too, need to use it more often. Food looked great.
😋...that looked delicious... and how simple! 🙌 - ❤️ the flat cap too😉🤩😁
Got to look the part! 🎣
@Richard Outdoors You Crushed it! 😂👏🤩

Are you related to Simon Bloke in theWoods by any chance😄
Who? 🤷♂️
I ask this constantly! They’re either brothers or cousins surely!
Both Richard and Simon are top blokes, really enjoyable Vlogs put out by them both.
thought you were gonna bed down on the towpath for a second lol
can you re-use the coffee brew thingy bag?
as i'm not a fan of trout......or lentils.........the spuds looked nice😂😂😂
Nice videography. It looked like you had a camera person with you for some of those shots while you paddled!
It did didn’t it? Clever stuff.
Looks like a lovely relaxing camp. Are those types of bivi bags claustrophobic at all?
I’d always prefer a tent but sometimes stealth is the name of the game!
Hi Morio. I don’t know the weight I’m afraid. It’s a 2-person pack-raft so not light. Manageable over a short distance!
Wow you packed so much into 23 mins
That fish made my mouth water and I've already had my dinner!
Don't you feel claustrophobic in a bivvy so small?
Thanks.
I know what you mean. I’d always prefer a tent but sometimes I have to make do when stealth is the name of the game. 👍
That's more of a kayak isn't it buddy. But I'm glad I aren't the only one with a heavy beast of a raft.
Think you’re right!!
@@RichardOutdoors I already have the nomad kit but the bags I will be buying I think.
Where you able to sleep well knowing you where on private land and could possibly be confronted by the owner ?
Slept very well!
I really enjoyed that Richard, cracking video. Did you use the Insta 360 for the panning movements ? It looked great by the way. Cheers Pal 😀
Hi Martin. Yep, Insta. Good but need plenty of light.
Another great video Richard. Thank you.
Does your inflatable kayak have a rudder/keel attachment.?
Hi. Thanks. No.
Hi Richard, thanks for all the great videos, can I ask what drone you use please as I am looking to get one but cant decide, keep up the good work and take care
I use the DJI Air 2S. If I was in the market for one now, I’d get the Mini 3 Pro. 👍
Great video, do you also fly private aircraft?
Yes I do!
@@RichardOutdoors excellent, former RAF Pilot ?
Do you do any UA-cam vids on your flying?
Hi. Yes, ex-RAF.

It has mate. Attempting a recovery but not holding up my hopes.
