My dude, the whole point of a poison deck is that you defend while the poison kills the enemies for you, you don’t want to have a lot of aggression if you’re rolling deadly poisons and noxious. Backflip with the footwork you already had is especially good because it cycles you back to your deadly poisons more often.
Are we gonna ignore the fact he took 21 damage when he had 2 energy and a defend and a survivor and a deadly poison?? 3:55
I'm still also trying to get over 11:00 he tacks on 12 armor even though goo was splitting instead of striking and saving hp later

Episode 425 and NL still hasn't grasped the fact that the primary objective of every combat is to win and to do so taking the least damage possible (ignoring if you have cards like feed, or hand of greed). Very rarely, when deciding to block or not, he still ocassionally goes to the map to see if it's a good idea to take damage or not.
It's basically a game of attrition and he is deliberately hampering his own chances by needlessly suffering more attrition

the poison is good too but apo just upgrading basic defends wouldve been very nice.

If you're doing n(n-1)/2, how about dividing the unique even number by 2 before multiplying?
Defends when he's going to split them anyways, and getting them lower could saved his life, c'mon egg.
easy way to work out poison:
Take the total amount of numbers (lets say 12 for 12 poison), add 1 making 13, then half that number making 6.5, then times that by the amount of poison (12) which equals 6.5*12 = 78. 11 poison would be 66, 10 poison would be 55 ect. It's a straight forward method of working out 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 ect type equations.
If you know 10 poison is always 55 then you can just add the next amount of poison, like 10 poison = 55, + 11 damage (next would be 11 poison so you add 11) = 66, 66 + 12 damage (next would be 12 poison) = 78 ect.
That's just a more difficult to parse version of the formula NL mentioned: f(n) = (n(n+1))/2
The little slime was going to split anyway with all out attack, could have just attacked him and maybe saved yourself :(

That first loss was sad. Later on, playing multiple upgraded Deadly Poisons, with Snecko Skull, and maybe a Catalyst or 2, and Leg Sweep, that's a very easy, very satisfying turtle build.

Bro Endless Agony only doubles itself when you DRAW it, it's not Anger my man.
This episode triggered me so hard. Skips Choke in a Sadistic Nature + Kunai deck, skips a second Blade Dance when he has Nunchaku, skips Infinite Blades when he has Mummified Hand (and later Nunchaku), upgrades Sucker Punch instead of Neutralize which, yes, is more damage but Neutralize is free yo! also, 10% win rate on A20 are you insane? You're lucky to have a 0.1% win rate on A20 at this point.

Its not that you underrate question marks its that you stupidly choose to fight elites, visit shops, or take combat over a question mark. My number one suggestion to you is to always take as many question marks as you can on the second and third levels (on the first you should try for some elites).
Stop calculating poison damage in terms of how much it will be if it runs to the end. In practice, you'll probably play it on an already-poisoned enemy who's going to die before the poison runs out, so the actual damage is simply (poison amount)*(number of turns the enemy will survive). For hallway fights, that's usually 2 turns.
I never noticed that there is a Thor card in the thumbnail for NLs slay the spire videos until now.

What would you expect when people leave comments trying to help him get better and he just ignores every bit of advice he's given.
@@ultraviolet7434 well he does cherry pick some advice and then ignores the rest. He just goes way too hard on what he does accept as good advice and fails to make any critical decisions of his own, it's all just going back to what he has been told.

It is extremely dependent on luck, you can get 3 bad curses and 3 useless relics.

he always thinks he has a good start and an awesome deck up until he dies.

I'm pretty sure losses in your slay the spire series aren't unprecedented, egg.
They should add an enemy (boss) who only has debuffs applied to them from one turn at the beginning of their next turn.
Pretty much, it just delays the debuffs the player applies to them on the player's turn.

hi northernelion, i love your gameplay stile and i whant to suggest a game... is not for pc i think but i hope u can go and at least see it, pirate outlaw is a card based game like slay of the spire and is realy realy similar but so many things are different, they got some things from slay of the spire and some thing from darkest dungeon .. hope u will enjoy it if u try.. sorry for my bad english

Who the f said high level ascension players have a 30-40% win rate on ascension 20? That’s absolute BS, MAYBE on the Defect, but definitely not the Silent. My winrate isn’t great since I only go for act 4 ascension 20 wins(which you need to build around the Heart fight which often means reckless decisions), but even still, I’d imagine my ascension 20(non-act 4) Silent winrate to be around 10%.

"There's no contest" there was contest, there was plenty of contest to use the strike and get rid of a slimed since you were taking 0 damage anyway. Not that it mattered given the draw next turn.
