You were redeemed!! Lots of water and not one life jacket... hmmmm. They have them thay are yhin and inflate with a co2 cartridge. Yup, I'm being your momma's voice in your head. Glad you did so good. Keep having fun! Be happy, safe and stay healthy! 😊 😷⚒
That view with all those birch trees was so beautiful! ok now I'm going to yell at you and a flick between the eyes 😂 what were you thinking? lol glad you made it out! That water line agate the color was very cool with that peachy color up top.
I know and share your joy of rock hounding . I really enjoy your videos!! Please hear me when I say when you are out in the wild, and that’s where you were in this video. One little slip can be the end of your life as you know it. Please please don’t wade in to deep water. Go back the way that you know. We all love going on these adventures with you, just be safe. Your family really loves and needs you. I am a big fan of your rock cutting videos! I know you don’t know me but this video was so scary to me. The river is no joke. With much kindness I send this.🌻
Your videos make me so happy! Thank you! I love your field trips and always feel disappointed when it’s time to ‘go home’. I love when you see objects in the stones (llama stone); I see them too! I have finally gotten used to your bare hands pushing rock through the saw, thanks to your explanation of how the blade grinds as opposed to cuts. But I could have died when you got yourself stuck waist deep in snow, and now you’re walking around in rapids! Lord above! Be careful, man! Take every safety precaution you can. The world is a better place with you in it! Keep up the excellent work!
Sometimes it's good to test your limits. 😬Now do not do that again! I always enjoy rockhounding with your videos: All the glory💎, all the gorgeous scenery, none of the cold, wet, and dangerous.🙂 Hurry up and get into your workshop. We all want to know what's inside those gorgeous rocks.🌲🌳🪵🌄⚠♿🙄🥶💦🐟🎣🪑🛌😴
I looked up Mary Ellen Jasper. I can see why you were excited! Big find. I hope you can find a way to go back, but approach from the other side…no crossing!
Wonderful video and super nice rocks! My wife Marilyn(Sonshine Legacy) watches your channel often and also loves rock hounding. We love the North Shore and are hoping to get up there for a couple days next week. I agree though be careful! I never walk into a moving river. I'm sure your experienced and know what your doing, just stay safe. Also you passed up some great birch bark! I really like birch bark as its my favorite tinder for firestarting. Beautiful rocks you found! I bet that pack was heavy. Great channel and videos.🙂
Taylor, you have indeed been redeemed! That huge Jasper reminds of a massive petrified wood about that size or larger that I once found about a mile up a mountain creek and had to pack back. No way I was going home without it even though walking in the creek itself was the path.
Wow. Glad you undid the chest strap. Smart man. I’m way older, but I either bring a pole or find one. It’s helpful to have a third leg. I look forward to the cutting. Thanks for picking up odd rocks, too, even if just to look. Best to you.
Great hunt, you gotta be careful in those rivers. Unseen deep spots are killers, your waders no matter how tight will fill up and weigh you down. 🍻 Awesome finds!
I just started watching this so I will comment again, but in 2004-5 I found a piece like that out in Split Rock. It was IDENTICAL to that, even in size, and I have thought many times that I've never seen a piece with that kind of sheen to it, until you showed that. Also I am really rooting for you here, because after the beginning of September it became very hard to find an agate. Particularly for us who just prefer creek hunting to any other way....... without a pit that is.
Are you planning to cut and/or polish today’s finds? I’d be interested to see what that huge chunk of jasper looks like inside, but that might be more than your saw can chew through! I can’t wait to see what you do with the agates!
4:32 I can totally be wrong because I am new-ish to this but I understand it to be that that can be a hunk of petrified sap. I believe I saw where a fellow who does geology said so but I'd have to search for the reference and I doubt you care thattt much. Great finds today! Blessings!!
At 4:55 min, the rock you found appears to be an agate. It’s very similar to agates we find along the pacific coast, north of Santa Barbara. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Scoopy wouldn’t have been able to help with that huge Jasp-Agate you found at the beginning. Thanks for sharing, great video!
Taylor please be careful on your jaunts, you must have a little bit of caution too, that lovely family need you more than the most exciting rock, Grandmother’s thoughts, and a happy Halloween to you all.🧙🏻♀️🎃
Now that’s awesome looking I just feel bad for your back hall and that around all day and you don’t know if you’re gonna be back that way so you have to take it with you😂❤
Always something exciting on the rock hunt! Love these videos! Beautiful Minnesota! You always seem to find the most pristine spots! Have you ever seen wildlife out there on the hunt?
Love all your finds! Metaphorically saying…you found a gold mine! I had to laugh though, at the 6:09 spot, that rock you picked up? I was horrified thinking it was a rock with bird poo in it 😂😂😂 obviously, I’m not a rock hound 😅
Hi, I’m in Michigan and I found a huge boulder on my land. I’m a rock hound and I polish, cut slabs and make jewelry. I posted pics on rock identification groups with no answer, lots of guesses. I’d love to send you the pictures. I guess I need to be a member.
Now listen here, son. I'm old enough to be your great grandmother and I must admonish you. I couldnt see if you belted your bib-waders around your waist since I don't believe there was a full shot of you. But you must be sure to tightly wear a waist belt outside your waders in case you fall in. Otherwise they will instantly fill with water rendering you unable to maneuver at all and you can guess the rest....not good.
Yeah.. I wouldn't have carried it on my back.. 😬 Float that monster 🪨 across in a 5 gallon bucket 🪣🤓 Looks like fun though and good place to find the good stuff 👍
I gotta take a trip north to do some river hounding. All mt agates come from river rock landscaping. Found a ton in the last month but want to try for some bigger stuff
How would you go about shaping and polishing that back breaker at the beginning? I have a few that I’ve lugged home I would love to make pop and shine!
How do you find these spots? I know you dont want to give up yours - I'm just looking for inspiration on *how* you find places. I'm further down in the twin cities and have been fiending to go hounding somewhere. Thanks!
Olá TAYLOR...muito cuidado ....que perigoso...não entra na água assim não....meu DEUS.....Deus vos abençoe muito meu filho.....mas vc encontrou pedras lindíssimas
Agate Dad please make sure that your viewers know about water safety. Your waders are great but how about a life preserver put on when you're crossing? Being a rock hound myself i have found myself in sketchy situations where i wondered how i was going to get back accross the river. When your on the hunt at times all good sense can go out the window. Please take my advice with love and caring for which it was meant. Awsome video take care
I been trying find a good hunting location for agates...my thoughts were like rivers with lots of rocks like where no ones been picking but its probabaly a crap shoot. Wish there was a way to get into the gravel pits cause I know they are in there.
Please be careful one wrong move in the river and you could be history and I don’t want to read about you in the papers or a message on Facebook or UA-cam that you were hurt or lost looking for rocks. Please be careful.❤❤❤❤❤
If you enjoyed this hunt, help support it by liking and commenting! ❤❤❤
If you're worried about crossing a fast moving body of water take a long stick strong enough to lean on put it down river as you work across.
Listen Agate dad we need you so be careful
You were redeemed!! Lots of water and not one life jacket... hmmmm. They have them thay are yhin and inflate with a co2 cartridge. Yup, I'm being your momma's voice in your head. Glad you did so good. Keep having fun! Be happy, safe and stay healthy! 😊 😷⚒
I was honestly worried about the deep water and waders… but knew you’d made it since we’re seeing this video. So much can go wrong out there.
That was so much fun to watch, non rock lovers, just don't understand.
Awesome video, I'm looking forward to seeing what's in the big one.
You have influenced me so much to get into rock hounding the last couple of years and i would like to thank you because I love every minute of it!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: You are really hauling them in today, dude! Excellent porphyry!
Such a good day!
That view with all those birch trees was so beautiful! ok now I'm going to yell at you and a flick between the eyes 😂 what were you thinking? lol glad you made it out! That water line agate the color was very cool with that peachy color up top.

That water level agate at 5:13 is AMAZING!!! Congratulations🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Right?!
Great finds and I'm glad you are safe!
Thanks for sharing your adventure stay safe young man
Fantastic
Dude! Chest waiters bag with a giant rock and deep water is super sketchy. Safety 3rd 😂. Awesome finds though man.
Exactly why I didn’t cross in the deep parts lol
Watching you stumble around at the end on your jello legs had me laughing 😂. You’ve got a new fan! Love your videos so much!
How fun, i miss doing this! Thanks for letting us tag along with you. Deep waters 😜
Super great finds that waterline looks like top shelf, great to see you having success stay safe out there. Can't wait to see that big one closer.🙂
Beautiful and unique finds! If I were you, I'd definitely have someone go with on your hunts.....just to be safe! 😊
Gorgeous finds, glad you made it out ok. Glad you are careful!
So worth the 20 minute perilous river crossing!
It totally was!
That water is COLD.! Good luck with the big rock!
Cool finds! Beautiful river and scenery! Be careful!!! 😊
Wow amazing beautiful 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad you got out okay.

What a beautiful find. Can't wait to see you work on it!

Just wow I did not want this video to end. Congratulations on your finds
Thanks!

Keep up the great outdoor adventures Taylor! We cont make it up there as often as we used to. So blessed being that close to such natural beauty 😊
🍻 Awesome finds!
i agree. I fell last year in my waders. I was fortunate that I wasn’t in deep. With my rocks and water in one leg, I was glad to be ok.
I love how excited you get. ❤️
Mn gal in Arizona... I miss the beauty of Minnesota...
Amazing find!!! Soooo exiting!😮
🎉
Just glad you made it out safe and didn't get soaked.
The big one and small one are both 100% mary ellen jasper, I find ones similar to the small one that you found relatively often, killer finds man!
🙌
I was so nervous for you. 😬So glad you made it out ok.

I'm glad you made it through the sketchy rock hunt!
That jasper you found is awesome I hope you can find a way to cut it up
I really appreciate the info bits you share as you come across these nature wonders.
Great day !!!!! Enjoy the channel
Great finds!!! Enjoy your videos so so much!!!
Glad you like them!
Are you planning to cut and/or polish today’s finds? I’d be interested to see what that huge chunk of jasper looks like inside, but that might be more than your saw can chew through! I can’t wait to see what you do with the agates!
These are places I only dream about in Lower Alabama. I want to go back up to Northern Minnesota come spring.
Lol!! Time for some hot coffee
The hike out warmed me up lol
I love the scenery. Gorgeous. Plus that first find was awesome sauce! Woot woot! Can't wait till you cut into that juicy nugget😎🤐❤
Maaaan what finds you had! This was a GREAT VIDEO!!! I loved it. Please keep this up.
Thanks! Will do!
I enjoy all your videos! I’m new to rock hunting but I’ve learned so much! Thanks!
I’m glad you do ❤️
Very cool find
Get into suiseki too, it's just as much fun hunting for. Love your enthusiasm. Jeannine
I really needed this today.
❤️
Love the pofery
So awesome to watch you. My family yous to camp out there beautiful i now make jewelry and do some cabs my self so sweet thank you 😊
You should get a chest pack to balance out the weight. This looks like a spot you can keep coming back to year after year.
I have one but when I fell I had it and one on back. It was a realization that you can drown. I enjoy the videos but this was scary.
4:32 I can totally be wrong because I am new-ish to this but I understand it to be that that can be a hunk of petrified sap. I believe I saw where a fellow who does geology said so but I'd have to search for the reference and I doubt you care thattt much. Great finds today! Blessings!!

i really am curious about the big rock and the white rock interesting finds definitely !
Taylor please be careful on your jaunts, you must have a little bit of caution too, that lovely family need you more than the most exciting rock, Grandmother’s thoughts, and a happy Halloween to you all.🧙🏻♀️🎃
Epic find! That huge one looks like may be a sort of jaspagate? I'm not sure. River crossing is always an adventure lol
Now that’s awesome looking I just feel bad for your back hall and that around all day and you don’t know if you’re gonna be back that way so you have to take it with you😂❤
Awesome finds!
Always something exciting on the rock hunt! Love these videos! Beautiful Minnesota! You always seem to find the most pristine spots! Have you ever seen wildlife out there on the hunt?
Have you looked into what the waxy looking white piece was?
When can we expect some cutting on that Jasper boulder?
Very beautiful agate🎉💎💍⛰️🇮🇩
Love all your finds! Metaphorically saying…you found a gold mine! I had to laugh though, at the 6:09 spot, that rock you picked up? I was horrified thinking it was a rock with bird poo in it 😂😂😂 obviously, I’m not a rock hound 😅
Enjoyed you Agate hunt. I live in Indiana not much in our creeks near me. Mainly arrow heads
Of course I support you but not feeling well today. Loved the video.
Sorry to hear that!!
That looks like the best place to go rock hunting, definitely worth carrying out the huge finds.
Definitely something I'd do 😂
Clearly I need some porphyry… so pretty
So good!
Amazing!
LOVE IT!!
you should have had a small magnet with you.
You really earned your “stripes”
More like streaks 😅

I do not wear a waist belt and know the situation wasn’t safe, I mentioned how bad it could have been. Won’t be doing that again.
Yeah.. I wouldn't have carried it on my back.. 😬
Float that monster 🪨 across in a 5 gallon bucket 🪣🤓
Looks like fun though and good place to find the good stuff 👍
OMG this video was so scry please be careful!
Nice fines!! I take a Home Depot bucket with me. Easier to carry
I think they’re essentially the same bucket lol ones just shorter with plexiglass on the bottom
Yes I noticed your it cool.
I gotta take a trip north to do some river hounding. All mt agates come from river rock landscaping. Found a ton in the last month but want to try for some bigger stuff
There was a huge galaxy stone right next to the big porphy on the ground, would have bin a beautiful cut with all its baby agates
I really enjoy your videos and the rocks😃
I’m glad!
Omg,it will have Beautiful things inside as well,God is good, all the time😔❤️🙏
Always ❤️❤️❤️
How would you go about shaping and polishing that back breaker at the beginning? I have a few that I’ve lugged home I would love to make pop and shine!
Porphyria is beautiful polished.
It is!
Cool finds
☺️🙌
Eeeek - be safe
Please show us those finds cleaned or cut or whatever you do!!
I hope we get a closer look at your rocks they were very int😢.
wow, did you ever cut the big one open?
How do you find these spots? I know you dont want to give up yours - I'm just looking for inspiration on *how* you find places. I'm further down in the twin cities and have been fiending to go hounding somewhere. Thanks!

I can’t do safety briefings in every video, people have to use their brains.
I been trying find a good hunting location for agates...my thoughts were like rivers with lots of rocks like where no ones been picking but its probabaly a crap shoot. Wish there was a way to get into the gravel pits cause I know they are in there.
You better not fall down crossing back across the river!!!
Where are your headquarters stand where do you usually go rock hounding?
Please be careful one wrong move in the river and you could be history and I don’t want to read about you in the papers or a message on Facebook or UA-cam that you were hurt or lost looking for rocks. Please be careful.❤❤❤❤❤
Me at the beach every day
Cool stuff. Is there any wolves in the area you were at?
There is!
