This is heart breaking. I bought the pattern because the vid count didn’t add up. Turns out both are wrong. Could someone tell me explicitly how to make it work? I cant do another 5-8 hours of a project to frog it again.
These total counts just don’t add up on the rows! I love this pattern and I even bought the pattern on Etsy, but when I follow a pattern I expect the totals to add up. I’ll keep going (on row 23 now) and at this point I’ll keep my fingers crossed it looks good when I’m done.
Could you please explain better how to attach the fin to the blanket? I am new to crocheting and I have never sewn pieces together, so I am not understanding if I am supposed to so into each stitch or skip a stitch I’m not exactly sure what to do please somebody help.!!!
I’m following the pattern but end with more stitches. For example instead of ending with 42 stitches I end up with a little over. I’m doing two single chains but I end up with more. What am I doing wrong? ( this is round 3/4 I’m talking about) Also when I finish a round of upside down shells, I’m right next to the last stitch instead of having more space compared to how I see it in the video. Help please?
After the shell there’s a stitch that looks like the next stitch but it’s actually the last stitch in the shell so maybe that’s where you’re getting extra stitches.
Row 9 is your doing 9 single crochet in the back loop only and then an increase on the next stitch in the back loop only and then continue BLO: 9sc, Inc (repeat until you meet the beginning. Use a stitch marker to track your first stitch of every round.) every round your you will do the same for each row. You’re adding 6 whole stitches to each round. Round 9 is 66. Round 10 is 72. And continue to add 6 so you can keep track until you get to round 20 for the 132 stitches
I am so lost and am hoping to get some help. I feel like my round is not increasing during the shell rounds. I have been using a stich marker to mark the beginning of each round. When I get to the increase stitch rounds I usually only get 3 increase stitches in the pattern before I get to the stitch marker. I’m on round 15 and only have 53 stitches. Could someone explain to me what I am doing wrong?
I ended up having to mark first and last stitch the whole way through and be very careful and concentrate, then I got stitch count correct, however seem to be not working after adding the extra stitch and turning. I have the 139 stitch count but then after turning and doing the shell row, I end up with an extra stitch and it looks like the shells don't line up any more. I am confused as to why the extra stitch?
Its ok i worked out the extra stitch is for the extra single crochet needed at the end of the shell row, it is just not mentioned in the video or instructions on screen
Hi! I'm wondering how long it takes ish to make one of these in child size? I've been asked if I can make two for Christmas, but I don't want to say yes in case I run out of time. Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me an idea of it!
How many yards did you end up using I'm wanting to make this for my 3 year old who is been into saying marmaid and every time she sees one she freaks I've made one before bit not for her size so I'm glad I found this video
Hi Mei. Thank you for sharing this beautiful mermaid tail pattern. May I know how much yarn did you use to finished this one please? I will definitely be making one for my wee girl for the next winter here in new Zealand 😊🥰
You can find the written pattern of this Mermaid Tail Blanket in different sizes here, thanks. creatoriq.cc/3CWs6Fk
Hi Mei, What a great design! 1000 thanks form Germany. 🤩Can a child size fit 6 - 7 years old ?
Hola también está para talla de adulto??
How beautiful my granddaughters would love this. Thank you so much 😘
LOVE this pattern! Im going to make it for my 4yr old granddaughter who is absolutely OBSESSED with mermaids! She’s gonna love it ❤
Thank you! I love the upside down shell pattern in this, starting them for my two girls tomorrow!
Love your tutorials

Thank you so much so much easier than the first pattern I found
Just BEAUTIFUL! I think I'll make my granddaughter one! Have a blessed day!
Thank you, have a nice day 😊
I call pulling the yarn through the loops, the Puff Stitch. You can pull as many as 5 or up to 11 depending on your pattern. :)
Can adults also do that too by their sizes?

How did it turn out?! I’m on row two and it looks so small!
Gracias adquiri el patron, espero me quede bien, cuantas madejas necesito para una de adulto ??
The upside down shell stitch looks to me like five half double crochets together (5 HDC TOG).
This stitch looks to me like the bottom side of the starburst stitch. Not sure what it's called😶. I love it though!
Tail fin starts @ 18:26

I don't know how many single crochets I have to make before an increase, while on an increase round until row 32
For example I'm currently on row 9 and I don't know how many single crochets I need to make before an increase
You add 6 stitches to each row after the under shell stitch. You will only be working in the back loop for the single stitches
@@jaclinscoverrow 9 is 13 single crochet? I’m kinda confused

Somehow stitches are being added even though I’m not increasing

Hi, it requires 5-6 skeins of yarn for the child size. You can double check in the video. 😊
I thought it was me till I went to comments your stitch numbers are wrong
heyyy 🤗😊
How to buy the pattern
Don’t. It’s wrong and the stitch count is off big time. Don’t waste your money and time.
It is a bullion stitch
Ok, thanks

The math is definitely not adding up. Time to frog 5 hours worth of work.
This pattern is so hard to follow
