Growing up with a Schizophrenic mom, she never bought us gifts and made Christmas dinner for us. Can you imagine. I had to make up a story every year at school what I got for Christmas and what we did. Which was nothing. My mom was fat and we were skin and bones. She also forgot our birthday. I was glad my teachers remembered because I knew my mom wouldn't. Now I'm older and my kids are grown and I do not miss their birthdays or Christmas. That's very nice that you're good mom to your kids. Merry Christmas.

One tradition that stands out the most to me is my grandma always ordered a cake that said Happy Birthday jesus.. we usually spent Christmas eve with her so we would sing happy birthday to jesus after dinner... I do this every year with my kids now.
I'm sorry someone made such a comment to you about your children. I suspect that person has experienced some trauma revolving this topic and is overly sensitive to it. Unfortunately, it got projected. I say this because I too have experienced this! My comment to those who call your love for your kids into question would be, 'A mother's love is always whole no matter how many times it is divided' I stole that from another and pass it on to anyone it can help, especially during this time of year! I don’t know if you post their reactions to their presents on Christmas Day but if you do I can’t wait to see them. I love how you got all of their presents based on what you know they will like and their interests. You got each of your kids a lot for Christmas and I’m so glad you were able to get them so much this year. ❤ I love how you do a different Christmas symbol for each of your kids Christmas presents that’s such a unique idea. Every year my parents would take me and my siblings driving around to see the Christmas lights, I would open a present which consisted of Christmas pajamas every Christmas Eve before bed, baked Christmas cookies, and watch Christmas movies. However, now that I’m 24 and have my own life I still come over to help my mom bake the Christmas cookies when I can, I watch Christmas movies with my husband, and I get out to see the Christmas lights and take pictures. All of the Christmas traditions that I did as a child I want to continue them on when I have kids but add the elf on the shelf tradition as well. ❤ you’re such a great gift wrapper I could learn a thing or two from you from this video about wrapping.

I bought my boys the same Kindle Fire tablet for Christmas when they turned 2. They didn't use them much at first, but gradually have used them more and more. They still play outside the most but sometimes some quiet time to unwind is good for everyone! I fully support screens to teach boundaries and tech skills. :0)

Our tradition has become we really celebrate Christmas eve. Our whole family comes over and all of the kids open their gifts from family. On Christmas morning, the kids open their gifts from their parents. 😀

Our traditions are listening to pentatonix Christmas albums and funny Christmas songs on repeat from black Friday until Christmas night, watching old Christmas movies (the year without a Santa, Santa clause is coming to town, Rudolph, frostie, nester the long eared donkey, and we watch nightmare before christmas). Decorating the tree together, Christmas eve box, and Santa gets whiskey, coke, cookies and Jerky left out with a note thanking him for his presents and carrots and corn for the reindeer

We exchange names for Christmas Eve & give books & snacks to share. My son in law is not a reader, so we usually get him a movie. I have Christmas coloring books & a Christmas puzzle and we all just hang out and read & snack and enjoy an evening together. Sometimes we go drive around and look at Christmas lights.

We have two traditions so far. One is I make them each their own hot cocoa bomb to open and use for Christmas Eve when we watch a Christmas movie together as a family. And then I wrap each kids presents in one wrapping paper and then I put a little strip of the paper in their stockings so they have to look in there to see which presents are theirs 🩷

I can relate to the comment that someone made saying you love one child more than the other, well I was at a fast food restaurant my oldest was 2 or 3 and my youngest was 1 and I had her on the counter and I gave her a kiss because she was so cute and my oldest was beside me holding on to my leg when this woman came up to me and said while pointing to my oldest child standing beside me holding my leg... that she needed love too 😳😖 I got so upset her nerve thinking just because I kissed my baby that I did not love my 2 year old daughter I looked at that woman and said What! you don't know me lady my daughter is loved mind your own business... that rude comment tore through my heart ive never gotten over those horrible words... like you said we love our children all the same. People can be so ignorant. Any ways you are a blessing and im sure many young mothers that watch your channel watch because you are a good role model. ❤

Christmas Eve-we do our big family meal that day so on Christmas I don't have to be in the kitchen all day we can just relax as a family. We bake/decorate cookies, open Christmas Eve boxes, and after they get in their pjs and take a shower they can pick 1 gift and open it. Christmas Day- we wake up At 7am and open presents and after we clean up I make a big breakfast. And then for dinner we eat leftovers overs We always do Christmas with family The Weekend before so this day is just for us 4. My kids we 10 and 7 this year
I grew up with the rule that no 2 presents can be wrapped in the same paper (double sided is the only exception). With that said I can’t stand the look of all the same or repeating wrapping paper. But because of it we have so many rolls and still have some that we got when I was a kid.
My daughter has a iPad to she is 19 months and we download movies for the car and toddler games. They see there siblings and want to join in. Loved this video so realistic

Since I was a child, we pit out our gifts under the tree once they are wrapped. My kids don't mess with them, even Jackson hasn't messed with them except once, he slapped a present across the floor. 😆 but we leave them out and Santa brings more unwrapped gifts on Christmas morning. 🎄

We do a special paper for each kid that way no tag it’s from us. They shop for each other so they get those with tags of to and from.

We always do multiple wrapping papers! Then for the kids we do their Santa presents different from the presents that we have got them.
I love the symbol idea. I’m going to try that. Also thanks for help with shopping for my 6 year old daughter. I’m at a total loss this year.

I can relate to the comment that someone made saying you love one child more than the other, well I was at a fast food restaurant my oldest was 2 or 3 and my youngest was 1 and I had her on the counter and I gave her a kiss because she was so cute and my oldest was beside me holding on to my leg when this woman came up to me and said while pointing to my oldest child standing beside me holding my leg... that she needed love too 😳😖 I got so upset her nerve thinking just because I kissed my baby that I did not love my 2 year old daughter I looked at that woman and said What! you don't know me lady my daughter is loved mind your own business... that rude comment tore through my heart ive never gotten over those horrible words... like you said we love our children all the same. People can be so ignorant. Any ways you are a blessing and im sure many young mothers that watch your channel watch because you are a good role model. ❤
I would just like to add, us old moms love watching her too especially when we can't clean as fast as the whipper snappers. I watch Marie and I'm like alright, let's go!

Christmas Eve-we do our big family meal that day so on Christmas I don't have to be in the kitchen all day we can just relax as a family.
We bake/decorate cookies, open Christmas Eve boxes, and after they get in their pjs and take a shower they can pick 1 gift and open it.
Christmas Day- we wake up
At 7am and open presents and after we clean up I make a big breakfast. And then for dinner we eat leftovers overs
We always do Christmas with family The Weekend before so this day is just for us 4.

Ohh we also make homemade reindeer food as well and throw it out.

I grew up with the rule that no 2 presents can be wrapped in the same paper (double sided is the only exception). With that said I can’t stand the look of all the same or repeating wrapping paper. But because of it we have so many rolls and still have some that we got when I was a kid.

Since I was a child, we pit out our gifts under the tree once they are wrapped. My kids don't mess with them, even Jackson hasn't messed with them except once, he slapped a present across the floor. 😆 but we leave them out and Santa brings more unwrapped gifts on Christmas morning. 🎄
