Advice for everyone. Instead of using scissors or a knife to open the bags... turn the bag upside down and pull the bottom apart just like opening a bag of chips. They open very easily and there's no risk for accidentally damaging the contents. Happy hunting!

For the record, we bought 16 randomly selected ones from the LEGO store (no handling the products there), got them home to do the feel test, and ended up with only 4 duplicates. Now, I'll return them and repeat the process. EDIT: I think the red printing on the cheese slope in the Monster Book of Monsters is either tongue or a bookmark.
You can get Snape in either the Whomping Willow set or the Quidditch match. There's also a Snape in Neville's grandmothers clothing in the Bricktober pack but I get how you would like to get him at a much cheaper price.
FANTASTIC guide!! I took you with me to Wal-Mart and watched this on my phone. I purchased 15 bags and got 15 different figures! Either I couldn't find her, or she was already purchased, but I'm only missing Bellatrix. Thank you for helping me not waste my money.

I just bought 13 packs of those minifigures and 9 of them were different. I really wanted to get Albus Dumbledore and I´m so glad that I got it! I think it`s the coolest minifigure in this series!
I did this when they had the disney series 2. I went though the whole box feeling each bag so I can find the steam boat willie mickey. I was feeling for the wheel

If you aren’t good at feeling bling bags and live en England, Try Hamlys toy shop. A worker helped me feel out the characters I wanted! I wanted bellatrix and professor sprout and I was doubtful I would get them but I did! Hamlys is about 50p more but it pays off I feel! Hope this helps!
It makes sense that they would reuse that hair piece for Bellatrix since it was specifically designed exclusively for her(granted there was a recolour in light blue for a nexonights villain). Similar thing with Ginny’s straight hair piece with the barrette, it was made almost exclusively for her so of course they’re going to reuse it. The new hair piece for Ginny will be just as useful later on, they could reuse that hair piece for many characters. Jean Grey from X-Men Apocalypse for example, or a recolour for Mary Jane Watson from Spider-Man.

I swear all the characters have a different code on the back to so you don’t actually need to feel the bags, that’s how I used todo it
